Wow, and I was expecting completely new tunes. Nope, it's that romantic BGM
with words. *sighs* It's fairly alright, but she sounds a bit wobbly. A bit
of silly sounding Engrish in this. ^^
Track 2
Still
Sung By: Miaka (Araki Kae)
The faster of the two, I like this one a lot better. (Might be because I
hadn't heard the melody before. ^^;) It's sung a lot better and she doesn't
sound like she's writing wedding vows. ^^;
Track 3
Sung By: Tamahome (Midorikawa Hikaru)
Whee..Tamahome's a good singer. @.@ This is once again, a BGM with words and
some stiff-sounding backup singers. This one's kinda fun.
Track 4
Sung By: Tamahome (Midorikawa Hikaru)
A nice slow, romantic song, with a new melody to it! Wai!
Track 5
Sung By: Hotohori
Another reused BGM..you guessed it, Hotohori's theme! With REALLY BAD
singing. Hotohori's got a really nice sexy voice, but he can't sing. This is
one track to avoid. -.-;
Track 6
Sung By: Hotohori
Hotohori sounds a bit better without the male backup singers, but the female
ones don't help much either. ^^; Another track to avoid.
Track 7
I Wish..
Sung By: Yui (Touma Yumi)
A song all about Yui whining for Tamahome! "Ay weesh fo yo laaav.." "I wont
beeee yo laaav.." Well sung, but Yui's desires for Tamahome REALLY irritate
me now. ^^
Track 8
Best Friend
Sung By: Yui (Touma Yumi)
A bouncy, SCARY song about Miaka. This one just gets on my nerves.
Track 9
Kaze No Uta
Sung By: Nuriko (Sakatomo Chika)
A nice slow song about Nuriko's devotion to Miaka as a shisei. And, speaking
from the non-Nuriko fan perspective (REALLY hard. ;P) this was incredibly
well sung. The song is soothing, and Nuriko's indescribable voice sounds
REALLY good. My only complaint is that Chika-sama can't pronounce "stop". oO;
One word: GENKIIIIII! After reading the translations to the song I had
trouble believing they were so weird. (If you want to know, it's about men
hitting on Nuriko but Nuriko brushes them off because he's in love with
Hotohori-sama) But otherwise, this song is really fun to listen to.
Track 11
Sung By: Chichiri
My favourite on the entire CD. Yes, Chichiri's songs are INCREDIBLY well
done. Chichiri pulls off sounding incredibly sexy with a high-pitched voice.
The song is very nice (something to do with being a shisei, I could pick up
Suzaku and shisei in there) but the icing on the cake is the "na no DAAA"
at the end of each chorus. KAWAII! It's worth buying the whole CD just for
this song. Seriously.
Track 12
Sung By: Chichiri
Another great one by Chichiri, this one is faster, more rock-ish..and...
oh yeah..chorus girls saying (ok-ay!). ^.~ This one also has the
"na no DAA's" though not as cute as in the last track. This one is also worth
buying the whole CD for. Oh yeah, Chichiri explodes at the end? O.o
Track 13
Sung By: Tasuki
At first, you'd think it was a slow song..then BANG! It's Tasuki singing
rather agressively! I didn't quite like this song when I first heard it, but
it will definately grow on you. One thing I'm wondering about is if he's
singing "Lekka Shien" cause it sounds like that, yet "Shien" is pronounced
"sheen", right? @.@
Track 14
Sung By: Tasuki
Another agressive song by Tasuki. This one is slower but still kinda fast.
I don't like this one as much as I like the faster one. Still a good song
though.
Track 15
Sung By: Mitsukake
Uh..well, most of you know what to expect. Mitsukake can't sing, and this
song isn't very well written. Poor guy.
Track 16
Sung By: Chiriko
Can we say "KAWAII"? This song is really cute, Chiriko's got a really nice
singing voice, the song sounds very ancient-Chinese-ish. I like this one
a lot.
Final Thoughts: This CD is very well done. It could have standed for some
improvements, though. They didn't have to recycle BGMs.
Hot Spot: Nuriko & Chichiri's songs.
Not Spot: Hotohori's & Mitsukake's songs, recycled BGMs.
