La vie de Keiichi semble être de retour à la normale (aussi normal que possible quand on vit dans un temple avec 3 déesses!). Oui, il fait des rêves étranges et oui, Urd et Skuld sont frustrantes mais au moins, sa petite amie est réellement divine!
Hélas, les nuages couvrent graduellement le soleil. Des bogues surgissent du paradis, tempérant avec l'univers terrestre. Skuld s'attelle à la tâche en tant que déverminatrice du Ciel et découvre que dès que Belldandy et Keiichi sont proches physiquement, un "canal de sortie de bogues" est formé. Jusqu'à ce que le problème soit résolu, Belldandy et Keiichi ne peuvent être ensemble.
Puis, Belldandy reçoit de Dieu une Note de Rappel. Elle doit retourner au Ciel, ou sinon...
On penserait qu'avec une déesse comme petite amie, Keiichi serait aux anges mais en fait, ça commence à ressembler de plus en plus à l'AUTRE endroit d'après vie.
S'il s'approche de Belldandy, des bogues s'évadent vers la Terre et viennent tout gâcher. Encore pire, Dieu a envoyé une Note de Rappel. Dans deux jours, elle doit retourner au Ciel.
Avec le temps qui passe, Belldandy doit commencer à s'éffacer de la vie et de la mémoire de Keiichi. Entretemps, Urd et Skuld tentent de régler le problème de bogues, espérant d'invalider la Note de Rappel.
Et Keiichi? Il travaille comme un forcené pour qu'il puisse acheter une bague pour Belldandy. Une bague qui va lui permettre de tenir une promesse... qu'il ne se rappelle pas avoir fait!

Keiichi's life finally seems to be getting back to normal (or at least as normal as life gets when you live in a temple with 3 goddesses!). Yes, he does get strange dreams, and yes, Urd and Skuld are a pain, but what the heck - his girlfriend is truely divine!
Alas, the storm clouds are brewing. System Bugs are escaping from the Heavens, upsetting the balance of the Earthly Plane. Skuld the Heavenly Hacker gets on the case, and soon discovers that whenever Belldandy and Keiichi get close, a Bug Exhaust Port is formed. Until the problem is solved, Belldandy and Keiichi can't be together.
Then Belldandy gets a Notice of Recall from the Lord. She has to go back to the Heavens, or else!
You'd think with a goddess as a girlfriend, Keiichi's life would be Heaven, but the fact is, it's more and more coming to resemble the OTHER after-life address.
If he even gets close to Belldandy, Bugs escape onto the Earthly Plane and foul up the works. Worse, the Lord has slapped her with a Recall Notice. In two days, she has to relocate home to Heaven.
As the clock ticks down, Belldandy must begin to erase herself from Keiichi's life and memory. Meanwhile, Urd and Skuld, hoping to avert the recall, plot to solve the Bug problem.
And Keiichi? He's working himself to the bone so he can buy a ring for Belldandy. A ring that will fulfill a promise... a promise he doesn't remember making!
