We see the Earth while we hear the narrator's voice: "Not a long time ago, something extraordinary happened to a veterinarian and his wife, a couple without children that own a clinic for pets."

The couple is preparing a trip of him. There is a case of sick leopards in Africa and he will be there until the epidemic has disappeared completely. When his wife tells him that she will miss him a lot, he answers her that it's his responsibility and that they need him badly. She tells him that she understands, and maybe someday they will have children and she will no longer be alone. He agrees.

The desire of both of them was listened in some place and it was materialized in form of Minky Momo, who descends from the sky in a kind of rainbow. After her, there is a compact vehicle (Gourmet Poppo) with capacity of flying. Momo settles in her new room and she uses her magic to fix the furniture to her pleasure. She asks the opinion of Shindobook, a fat dog that accompanies her, but he only complains from the place where they are now. A small monkey called Mocha and one little bird called Pipiru are also with Momo. They ask to Momo about their mission there. Momo explains: a doctor and his wife want a son. -she answers. Then, she tells them that it's time to sleep. They ask her where they will sleep, and she points towards Gourmet Poppo.

The next morning, mama awakes Momo. After leaving her room, she thinks: "Oh... I would swear that this room didn't exist before, could be possible"?. The magic of Momo has made her think that Momo is her daughter. When Momo says bye to her new dad and he leaves in a taxi, he also thinks: "Momo? wait a moment, I don't remember to have a daughter, what's happening? Mm.. I guess I just forgot it. Yes, that should be." When the pets of Momo see all this, they are surprised of the power of her magic.

Later, a boy enters requesting a doctor for his horse. It's his champion and he's very sick. Momo offers to aid him herself, since her dad is travelling. They use the vehicle of Momo to move there. Before arriving to the ranch, Momo sees a very energetic and healthy horse. The boy comments that the name of that horse is Flash, the brother of the sick horse.

When the father of the boy sees Momo instead of a doctor, he nags the boy saying that he sent him for a doctor, not a girl. Momo offers to help them, but the man refuses saying that she is ony a child and there's nothing that she can do. In that moment, a man arrives and he says that it seems that the horse won't run in the race. The owner of the horse tells him that he shouldn't worry, that the horse will compete and with the prize, so that they can pay him the debt that they have with him. The man says before leaving that if they don't pay him, they will lose the ranch. When Momo hears this, she offers again to help them, but the owner of the horse refuses again. Outside, Momo asks to Shindobook why the man rejected her help. He tells her that the owner believes that children can't acomplish anything. She says that if that's the reason, then she will grow. In that moment, the true father of Momo, the king of Fenarinaasa, is screening the activities of his daughter's in the Earth and he gets very happy when sees that his daughter is serious in her mission. The queen warns the king that is the responsibility of Momo and that he shouldn't dare to help her. The king communicates this to Momo, who says that it's not the big deal, anyone can become adult. She takes out her magic stick and she transforms into a veterinarian using the following incantation: "I request this desire and I don't want to lose it, pretty and intelligent woman, that's what I want to be."

After this, Momo goes with the owner of the horse saying that her little sister explained her the problem. She also tells him that her specialty are horses and that she is the best he can find. The owner allows her to examinate the horse. Momo detects that the horse has been poisoned. Everyone suspect of Walter, the man that was there a few minutes ago. Momo gives a medication to the horse, but she tells them that he won't be ready for Saturday, the day of the race. Hero, the sick horse, tells Pipiru that Flash is speedy enough to win the race. She says this to Momo and she attempts to convince Flash. He's reluctant at the beginning because his brother is the one that always takes the honors. Hero gets up and talks with his brother. He tells him that he should win the race, or else they will lose the ranch. Flash accepts. Momo and everyone are happy, but they decide to train Flash because he's very fat and that is quite inconvenient.

The day of the race, Flash is ready and thin. Walter realizes that he can lose the opportunity to keep the ranch and he orders to kidnap the jockey. Then Momo decides to transform into a woman again, but this time she will be a jockey: "Magic diamond, grant me the power, I want to grow, I want to grow and become an amazon". Before the beginning of the race, both Momo and Flash are ready.

Walter has several jockeys inside the race, and all of them try to stop Momo with dirty tricks, but the ability of Momo let her overcome those attempts. Finally, Momo arrives to the end in a dramatic ending. The picture shows that Flash won for a tongue. Indeed, in the pictures we can see how the horses went pretty even, but Flash arrived before because he got out the tongue in the last moment.

In Fenarinaasa, the true parents of Momo watch her victory. The king is happy because the jewels of the crown in the hall are shining intensely. Suddenly, the shining stops and the queen explains that the jewels will shine permanently as Momo continue carrying out good actions.
