There was a full moon tonight.
The beams drifted through
the hotel windows, illuminating the sad expression of the small figure
that lay alone on the bed.
The room was dark, and the
digital clock said 2am. He should be trying to sleep, but he knew he couldn't.
The long tour was over at
last. After this, he could go home. He had two days break. And after this,
life would be not nearly so busy. He should be happy.
For some reason, his heart
felt heavy. Usually he was ok. It was just sometimes, when it was dark
and he was alone, he got these feelings again.
It was because, after all
this time, he was still not fully used to being alone. It was not depression
that filled him, but loneliness.
He turned over onto his
side, annoyed at how crap he was feeling. A thought was building up at
the corner of his mind, but he pushed it away. He had to get his mind off
what was causing this sadness.
He sat up from where he'd
been lying on top of the covers and switched on the television. For some
reason every channel had something which threatened to call the thought
back.
Annoyed, he turned off the
television, and then, angry at the sudden silence and darkness that overcame
the room, switched on the light.
"I need a cigarette.." he
thought. Maybe that could dull the pain slightly. He put one in his mouth
and lit it, then sighed, lying down on the bed and closing his eyes. That
felt better.
With his eyes closed, he
leant his head further into the pillows, and drifted towards sleep.
DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Wha-?" he half sat up before
water suddenly came pouring down on him, drenching him and the entire bed.
"Na..nanda........" The
water was coming from a sprinkler in the ceiling. He sat up and scrambled
off the bed, but his clothes were already drenched in the horribly cold
water.
Over the horrible noise,
he heard the phone ringing.
"Hello?"
"Do you require emergency
assistance?"
"Wh-what?! No!! What the
hell do you mean?"
"Is your room on fire?"
"WHAT? No - I mean, I lit
a cigarette..."
"Are you aware this is a
non-smoking hotel?" The lady sounded very annoyed. As she spoke, the alarm
stopped, and the water from the sprinklers began to abate.
He looked towards the back
of the door to his room, where the sign clearly said "No Smoking." "Um,
no..."
"You could have caused the
whole hotel to be evacuated."
"Um, I'm sorry.." For a
second, he considered telling the woman on the phone who she was talking
to. That would shut her up. But, he couldn't be bothered at this instant.
Besides, he wasn't that arrogant.
"Any damage to hotel property
caused by the sprinklers will be charged to your account." With that, she
hung up, leaving him drenched and holding a silent phone.
Shivering with cold, he
replaced the receiver. There was a knock at the door.
What now, he thought as
he went to open it.
The tall, brown-haired figure
standing in the hallway took one look at him and began to laugh.
"Ha! I knew it must have
been your room." He pushed past him into the room. "Waa, did you light
a bonfire or something?"
He stood there angrily.
"If you have something to say Ken, then say it or get out!"
Ken didn't stop laughing,
and he got annoyed. "Can't you go and laugh at me somewhere else?"
Finally he stopped and then
looked at the angry, wet, blonde-haired figure. "Ne, I'm sorry haido. Look,
your bed is all wet. You can't sleep there. Want to come to my room?"
"No, I'll be okay."
"What? Hyde, don't be angry.
If you sleep here, you'll get sick."
"I'll sleep on the floor.
Look, I want to be alone right now."
"Are you ok?" Ken looked
serious, for once. He must have thought Hyde was mad at him.
"Yes. It's nothing you did,
don't worry."
"Do you want to talk about
it?"
He shook his head. It was
not the sort of thing he could tell anyone about. Especially another band
member. It was something he had to deal with himself.
"You sure you don't want
to come to my room?"
"I'll be fine, really."
He led Ken towards the door. "Good night."
"Night..Hyde."
Hyde closed the door gently
after him, and sat down leaning against the door. Looking around the chaosed
room, he heaved a long sigh.
Hyde closed the door behind
his and looked around the dark hallway of his own home. He was back, at
last. He put down his bags by the door and then leant back against it,
suddenly feeling sick. He'd spent last night on the hotel floor, with only
a spare pillow he'd found in the closet. It had been freezing, but he'd
been feeling too sorry for himself to put on more clothes or get another
blanket. The whole day had been spent in the car, driving back home. Now
he'd been dropped off, he had two whole days' vacation.
But his house felt empty
and cold. There was no one there waiting for him. Heaving another sigh,
Hyde stepped into the silent, dark corridor, heading for the kitchen.
The attack was sudden and
came out of the dark. Someone grabbed him from behind, pushing him roughly
against the wall.
"Ua...aahh!!!!" His face
was pushed up against the wall roughly, his arms pinned.
Hyde in one move twisted
free and kicked the attacker backwards. Instead of finishing him off, as
he should have done, for some reason he found himself reaching for the
light switch.
Before he could touch it
he was grabbed around the waist, and someone pushed him against the wall
again. Hyde felt the barrel of a gun being pressed against his neck.
Unable to fight back in
any way, and terrified, Hyde let out a little whimper of fear.
The gun was pushed deeper
into his neck, and the attacker turned Hyde around. He pushed him in the
direction of the stairs.
Last night had been the
last full moon, and tonight the night was pitch black. Hyde, although his
eyes were more used to the darkness, could make out nothing more than a
figure.
They ascended the stairs,
the attacker still holding onto Hyde close and keeping the gun pressed
against his neck. Obviously he didn't want Hyde to hit him again. When
they reached the top of the stairs he pushed Hyde to go to the left, towards
the bedroom.
The mystery of how this
guy knew his house so well, as well as the not-unfamiliar feeling he had
about him, began to build up in the back of Hyde's mind.
They entered the bedroom.
Here it was much lighter, from the light of the far-away streetlights coming
through the window, but the attacker would not let Hyde turn around.
"Close your eyes." He whispered
it, obviously trying to disguise his voice, but to Hyde it was still maddeningly
familiar.
Hyde closed his eyes, and
the other turned him around and pushed him up against the wall by his bed.
With the gun still against Hyde's neck, he wrapped the other arm around
Hyde's waist, drawing them closer. The arm holding the gun wrapped around
his neck, so that the gun was pointing to him head.
"Ohh.." Hyde cried out in
fear. What the hell was happening? The arms grew tighter around him. He
knew this embrace. He knew this voice, this body.
It was him, after all this
time. It was -
"Sakura?"
A trembling voice. The other
drew back slowly, and Hyde opened his eyes. A mask covered the lower half
of the black-clad figure's face, but the upper half of the face and the
hair were unmistakable.
"My god...Sakura..." His
emotions flowed over. Forgetting everything, forgetting the situation,
Hyde threw his arms around Sakura, holding him tight. "I missed you so
much --" Hyde held him tighter. Sakura did not return the embrace, and
as he brushed against the gun in Sakura's hand Hyde was reminded of the
present situation.
Hyde pulled away slowly,
and stood in front of him, not knowing what to do, or say. What did one
say in a situation like this? Slowly, he reached out and turned on the
bedside lamp.
The light seemed to bring
more normalcy to the situation, and since Sakura remained silent Hyde felt
he had to speak.
"Sakura..what are you doing?
With a gun...I was so scared. I didn't know who it was..."
But, looking into Sakura's
eyes right now, he felt that he still didn't know who it was.
Sakura finally removed the
mask, and spoke. "I wanted to talk to you."
"But - why like this - "
"You wouldn't have seen
me any other way."
Hyde understood.
"But how did you get in?"
"I have a key, remember?"
"Oh...oh yeah..."
Hyde just looked at him,
not knowing what to say or do. What could you say to someone that you hadn't
seen for over a year? How could he express his feelings? There was no way
he could tell him what loneliness he'd been feeling, how he'd thought it
was going away until recently it had been coming back again. Like last
night...
They stood for a moment,
their eyes locked. Something in Hyde's head told him that he at least had
to lead Sakura away from the bed.
"I - I was going to have
something to eat before- before you came. Would - would you like to eat
with me?"
Sakura finally smiled slightly.
"OK then." Still holding the gun, Sakura allowed himself to be led out
of the room and down the stairs by Hyde.
As he was cooking and then
while they were eating, Hyde felt the words pour out of his mouth as if
they would not stop. He had wanted to talk to Sakura so bad, and now he
chattered on endlessly, telling him about anything and everything. Sakura
had laid the gun down on the table, and listened attentively, occasionally
talking. He seemed to be enjoying Hyde's food a bit. Hyde was happy.
When it finally appeared
Hyde had reached a break in his chatter, Sakura stood up and opened a cabinet
in the kitchen, pulling out some bottles.
"What are you doing?"
"It's getting late. Let's
go upstairs and talk, ok? We can drink as well."
Hyde nodded, and after clearing
the dishes away followed Sakura back up the stairs.
A few hours later, they
sat on the floor besides Hyde's bed, leaning against the wall, surrounded
by empty bottles and glasses.
"I'm so glad you came.."
Hyde leaned against Sakura, then reached up and began playing with the
long strands of black hair. Sakura smiled. Hyde was so cute when he was
drunk like this.
"Oh yeah? Why?"
Hyde looked serious again.
"Hmm...I already told you how much I missed you. It was...it was becoming
so I couldn't bear it anymore.."
"Oh yeah. I know that feeling."
Hyde looked up at his friend,
and smiled again. Sakura wrapped his arms around him gently. He ran one
hand through Hyde's short, blonde hair. "Your hair.."
"Do you like it?"
"It's...interesting.."
Hyde felt himself being
overcome by happiness. Just hearing Sakura's voice was enough. He turned
around and wrapped his arms tight around Sakura, putting his head on his
shoulder. "I'm so glad you came..." he repeated.
Sakura hugged him back tightly.
Then, Hyde felt Sakura's lips against his neck.
Before Hyde could react,
he pulled Hyde's body so he was wrapped around Sakura's waist. Holding
him tight, Sakura shifted his lips up the side of Hyde's neck to his ear.
He heard Hyde groan slightly.
Then he pulled away sharply.
"Sakura! What are you - "
His mouth was blocked by
Sakura's as he pushed Hyde backwards, pinning him to the ground.
"Mm.......mmph.." Hyde was
trying to yell. He tried to push Sakura off but he was much heavier than
him and Hyde couldn't move. With increasing panic he finally managed to
break his mouth free.
"Sakura--" Hyde's face was
genuinely bewildered. "What are you doing?! It's not like that!"
"Of course it was 'like
that'!"
"What on earth do you mean?"
Sakura grinned and pushed
Hyde, who was trying to scramble backwards, back into a lying position.
"Don't you remember, that night?"
"What? Oh, that doesn't
count. We were both drunk, you know it, it didn't mean anything!"
"Yes it did, you know it."
He touched Hyde's troubled-looking face, his face turning gentle. "I'm
sorry...don't be scared.." He stroked Hyde's face, trying to calm him.
Hyde just looked up at him, unable to reply. Looking down at him, Sakura
suddenly picked up the small body and lifted him onto the bed. Hyde was
still silent, apparently lost for words for once. Gently, Sakura whispered
to him "I love you."
Hyde looked stunned. Unable
to meet Sakura's gaze, he looked away.
"Can I continue?"
Hyde thought about it. The
last thing he wanted right now was to be left alone. He didn't want Sakura
to go away from him again. Hyde bit his lip, and gave a tiny nod.
Sakura smiled. He undid
Hyde's shirt and pulled it off, revealing the beautiful smooth white skin..
Wrapping his arms around Hyde's small waist, he noticed his eyes were tightly
closed.
"Haido...what's wrong?"
Hyde opened his eyes slowly,
and finally spoke. "It's just...isn't it a bit to......sudden....."
Sakura seemed to look past
him. "The time for taking things slowly has passed. It's not like that
anymore."
"Don't go away from me again..."
It was amazing to see Hyde
so vulnerable like this. As if to comfort him, Sakura kissed him again.
He moved him lips over Hyde's cheek, his nose, his eyes, taking in all
of the beautiful face. Hyde groaned, his body feeling warm. Pinned down
on the bed, he clutched the blankets tightly in his hands. Sakura's lips
moved lower, over his body.
Hyde felt too hot. "Waa---
Sakura--" Although the feelings were nice, he felt his eyes fill with tears.
Sakura lifted him up slightly,
wrapping his arms around him tighter, kissing his waist, then his stomach.
The tears overflowed from Hyde's eyes.
Sakura looked up at him,
and gazed at him intensely. Hyde felt the deep black eyes bear into him,
as if trying to penetrate his mind.
"Why are you crying?" The
question rang in the room. Hyde was silent, unable to answer as the tears
rolled down his cheeks.
"Why are you crying...?"
Somewhere far away, a phone
was ringing. Hyde ignored it, waiting for it to go away, not wanting to
leave the warmth and comfort of sleep. But it persisted. Groaning, Hyde
lifted the covers from over his head and fumbled for the phone.
"Yeah?" he answered sleepily.
Tetsu's voice came out.
"You were still asleep?"
"What time is it?"
"It's 2 30. Were you up
late last night or something?"
Was he up...? The memories
flooded back suddenly. Sakura! Sakura had been... surely it had been a
dream. But looking beside the bed, he could see the bottles still lying
there. He'd definitely been here.
Hyde looked around the room.
Sakura was gone.
"Haido? You ok?"
With a dreading feeling,
Hyde lifted the blankets. Thank god, he still had some of him clothes on.
That meant they hadn't got too far last night. Still, Hyde felt angry.
Damn Sakura! Such a pervert! Always trying to -
"Haido?"
Hyde was brought back to
the present by tetsu's voice. "I'm sorry."
"You sound bad. Want me
to come over?"
"Oh..no...I'm ok...I just...last
night I had a visit from..an old friend.." That had slipped out. He really
shouldn't have told anyone.
Tetsu laughed. "Oh, I see.
An old friend. Well, I hope you had fun."
Hyde laughed as well. Let
tetsu believe it was just some girl then. He felt bad to be keeping secrets,
but the truth could only hurt him. "So what are you doing now?"
"I was going to go over
to Yuki's. I think Ken went looking for girls somewhere...I could pick
you up if you want.."
"No, that's ok, I want to
sleep some more I think."
Tetsu laughed again "Ok,
call me anytime if you need me."
"Sure. Cya." Hyde hung up.
'If you need me'? That guy....
He sat up slowly, feeling
his head throb faintly. He stood up. The house seemed very quiet all of
a sudden. "Sakura?" he called quietly.
The house was still silent.
Sakura had well and truly gone.
Almost as if he'd been a
dream.
There was no evidence of
him being there, until Hyde saw the pad next to his phone. On it Sakura
had written the kanji for his name and a number.
His new phone number, Hyde
supposed.
He picked up the number,
and went downstairs, planning to leave it in the kitchen and have something
to eat. But he couldn't think of anything else. The number drew his attention.
He had to somehow confirm Sakura's existence. Feeling fed up with himself
but unable to resist, Hyde picked up the phone in the hallway and dialed
the number written on the sheet.
"What are you doing all the
time these days, Hyde? I never see you anymore." Hyde was not prepared
with an answer to that one. He hadn't expected to run into tetsu.
When Hyde had arrived home
earlier from the studio he'd half-expected Sakura to be there. Over the
last ten days since he'd first "visited" Hyde at his home he'd come over
at least four times, mostly arriving before Hyde got home, and since he
hadn't visited for two days in a row, that Friday Hyde had thought he would
come.
Although it had just been
two days Hyde badly wanted to see him, although the way he visited sometimes
gave him the creeps. I mean, he wasn't expecting Sakura to wait outside
for him, but did he actually have to go into his house? And the way Sakura
had been acting.. it wasn't that Hyde was scared of him, but..
"Sakura, are you there?"
Hyde had called out as he stepped into the kitchen. The house was silent.
Hyde sighed. Well, he couldn't expect Sakura to come to see him all the
time, he knew he had a life of his own now, but a selfish part of him wanted
to see him again.
He'd thought about calling
Sakura again, but then came up with a better idea. He could go to Sakura's
house! He knew the address, and he hadn't been to his new house yet. Maybe
they could go for a drive or something. Hyde was so happy at the thought
of seeing Sakura again he almost forgot to lock the door after him.
On the way there, he'd stopped
at a shop around the corner to his house. He was hungry so he brought some
chocolate to then decided to get some cigarettes. When he was getting them
he saw Sakura's favourite brand and decided to get them as well. Feeling
happy, he'd come out of the store eating his chocolate and almost bumped
into the taller figure of tetsu, who as coming from the car park.
"Aah! Tet-chan." It was
not surprising they would meet here because they both lived so close.
"Hyde, what are you looking
so happy about?" Tetsu smiled. Then he'd asked the question about what
Hyde had been doing lately.
Hyde didn't have a reply.
He still couldn't tell tetsu the truth. So he just smiled secretively.
"Oh, nothing."
"What did you buy?"
Hyde realized the bag the
shopkeeper had put the tobacco in was clear, and tetsu could have seen
the brand of cigarettes. Being over-paranoid, he quickly put the bag behind
his back. "It's nothing." he said quickly.
Tetsu felt annoyed that
Hyde was being so secretive. He didn't see what could be so bad as it had
to be kept secret from him. But he was too nice to say anything about it,
so he just forced a smile and said "OK. Well cya then."
"Bye." He saw Hyde getting
into his car, and driving off in the direction opposite to his house.
Hyde stood outside the door
to Sakura's house, knocking impatiently.
"Come on Sakura!! You better
be home, cos I don't have a key." No answer. He kicked the door.
A few seconds later, Sakura
answered. "Waah, Hyde." He looked surprised. "Do you have to be so violent?"
Hyde smiled, taking off
his sunglasses. "Hey, you didn't come to my house for a while, so I decided
to visit you."
"Yeah, I was busy.."
"We're going for a drive."
"We are?"
"Yes, in my car." Hyde grabbed
Sakura's wrist and pulled him out and over to his car.
"Let me drive."
"You _always_ drive. It's
my turn."
"Yes, but-" Sakura sighed.
Hyde got his way, as usual. Sakura reluctantly got into the passenger's
seat. "Where are we going?"
"Um...to get something to
eat."
"That's all you ever think
about."
Hyde smiled. It was getting
dark, so he took off his sunglasses. "Better than what you always think
about." he mumbled.
"Hey, shut up." Not used
to being in the passenger seat, Sakura shifted uncomfortably, and then
fiddled with the stereo. He turned the radio on. Hyde wondered uncomfortably
about what he would do if one of their songs came on. He wondered how Sakura
felt when he heard one of them on the radio. Not wanting to ask him, he
bit on his nail and concentrated on driving.
Because he didn't want to
risk anyone seeing them together, Hyde didn't go to a restaurant and instead
they bought take-away bento. Hyde then drove to a deserted street next
to a park. It was surrounded by trees and there was noone around.
"Ok, this place should be
fine. Now we can eat." Hyde hungrily attacked his food.
Sakura was talking on and
on about some girl he'd known and Hyde ate and stared out of the window,
only half listening. This was as it usually was. The moon was very beautiful
tonight, just a sliver of silver showing through the dark trees.
Hyde finished his bento.
"Oh, I finished and I'm
still hungry. Give me yours, Sakura."
"Sorry, brat, but I just
finished."
Hyde sighed. "Well, pass
the coke then."
Sakura passed him the bottle
of coke he'd been drinking from. As Hyde took it, Sakura grabbed his other
hand. Hyde pulled it away, and smiled at Sakura as he drank from the bottle.
Sakura reached for it again.
"Uh-uh, Sakura, I'm not
drunk now so don't even try."
Sakura took Hyde's hand
again and kissed it. When Hyde pulled away again he said "First you break
my door down, then you won't let me drive, then you steal my drink, and
now..." He picked up Hyde's hand yet again and wove their fingers together,
then moved onto Hyde's side, pushing him back against the door.
"Waa...Sakura... the drink
will spill.."
Sakura took the bottle out
of Hyde's hand, put the lid on and put it aside. "There."
Hyde was pushed uncomfortably
against the door between the seat and the steering wheel. "Owww...."
"Is that bad? We should
go in the back seat." Sakura lifted Hyde up and tried to push him into
the back seat, but as he did Hyde hit his head on the roof.
"Ah! You baka, you hit me!"
Hyde swatted Sakura on the side of the head. Sakura began to laugh. After
a second, Hyde did too. For a second, as Hyde lay on the back seat, everything
seemed alright as it always had been, and there was nothing to be worried
about anymore.
Sakura pushed Hyde up into
more of a sitting position against the door, and sat on top of him. He
put his hands under Hyde's shirt.
Hyde could feel himself
reacting even though Sakura hadn't even kissed him yet. His face went red.
Sakura smiled. He pulled Hyde's shirt off over his head, and kissed his
chest. "Ne....so pretty...."
Hyde went redder, and Sakura,
seeing this smiled, and moved his tongue over Hyde's smooth skin.
"Ah...you....ahhh..." Whatever
Hyde had been trying to say was interrupted. He gripped the seat tightly.
Sakura's fingers drifted across his face, and then suddenly Hyde was pulled
downwards so he was almost lying down again. Sakura's hands moved to around
Hyde's waist, then over his hips. He sat down in the seat below Hyde, pushing
his legs wide apart. Sitting between Hyde's legs, he began to undo Hyde's
pants.
The phone rang.
"Oh, _fuck_."
Hyde seemed to snap out
of some sort of trance. He sat up, and reached for his coat in the front
seat where the cell phone was. Sakura grabbed him. "Don't answer it."
"I have to." Hyde got back
on the back seat. "Hello?"
It was tetsu's voice. Hyde
was immediately annoyed. Tetsu knew he'd been going somewhere important
before, so why the hell was he ringing? "Oh, tetsu." He didn't try to keep
his emotions out of his voice at all.
Hearing this, on the other
side of the phone tetsu too got very annoyed. It wasn't his damn choice
he was ringing. "I had to tell you that we have to meet earlier than usual
tomorrow, because..." tetsu explained. He was so annoyed he didn't bother
apologizing for interrupting Hyde which he'd obviously done. Hyde sounded
out of breath.
Hyde sighed. "Yes, yes,
ok - " Just from his voice tetsu could tell that someone else was there
and they were thinking how annoying he was. That made him more annoyed.
Sakura sighed, and put his
hands on Hyde's waist. Hyde squirmed away, signaling for him to stop because
he was still talking to tetsu. Sakura tickled him.
"Yes, but where? Yes, I
, WAAH! Aaaah!" Hyde began to laugh. He kicked away the grinning Sakura.
"Yes, I'm sorry, I was listening - "
Tetsu was very angry now
at the way Hyde was treating him. If Hyde thought whoever he was with was
more important than recording, then it was his problem. Annoyed, he hung
up without saying goodbye. "Stupid brat."
Hyde put the phone down.
"He hung up. Thanks to you."
"Sorry...but he couldn't
have picked a worse time, really."
Hyde began to put his shirt
back on. "Hey, Hyde, what are you doing?"
Hyde looked up at him. "Oh,
he said we had to meet earlier tomorrow, and it's late already so we should
go back now."
Sakura looked angry as Hyde
did up the last of his clothing. He looked at Sakura expectantly, wanting
him to move so that he could get back into the driver's seat.
Instead, Sakura grabbed
him and pushed him back against the door, a lot harder this time. He smiled
at Hyde's surprised face and then forced his mouth against his. Hyde winced
as the handle of the door was digging sharply into his back. His head was
pushed hard against the window glass as Sakura's mouth pushed against it,
making it impossible for him to cry out.
"Mmm...mm..." Hyde dug his
nails into Sakura's neck, trying to break his mouth free, but Sakura just
held tighter. Hyde's insides filled with fear. He hated this feeling he
got around Sakura these days. It wasn't as it used to be.
With one hand still holding
Hyde's neck, Sakura reached the other one down, dragging it over Hyde's
stomach and pushing it between his legs.
Hyde tried to pull away,
and Sakura felt him trying to cry out. Finally, he pulled his mouth away.
"Remember this Hyde?"
Hyde's face was all full
of anger. "No I don't remember Sakura! Now let me go, I told you I have
to go home!"
"I'll let you go home. Just
let me have a little time first."
"A little time?! What the
hell!? Ok, you can have thirty seconds!"
Sakura sighed. "That's all
I get? Ok, thirty seconds it is."
"I'm going to count." Hyde
said. "One...two...three...waah Sakura I didn't say you could take anything
off!"
"You're losing time."
"Seven...eight......nine...."
His voice trembled, and he bit his lip.
Sakura slowed his hands.
"You've forgotten how to count?"
"I can't....Sakura stop
that...your hands........"
"Hey, it's my time."
Hyde closed his eyes, trying
to concentrate on the counting. "Sixteen...seventeen...eight....aah...."
Sakura's hands increased their speed against the bare skin. Hyde became
unable to count, unable to think. Under the waves of pleasure, a small
undercurrent of fear.
"Aaaah..." Hyde was crying
out without even being aware of it. Sakura kissed his neck, then his ear.
"I love you..."
Hyde let out a final cry.
Sakura pulled his hands back. "Oh, Hyde, I hope you haven't messed up the
seats."
Hyde fell back on the seat,
panting. "Baka...you went...over.....that was at least a minute.... more
I think...."
"I couldn't stop halfway."
"Cheat..." Hyde looked angry.
"Get off, will you, I have to get in the front." In the back of his mind,
a tiny part if him had the small fear that Sakura would refuse. But he
just got up, opened the side door and got out.
Hyde sat up slowly. He got
some tissues from the glovebox in the front and wiped at the liquid on
his legs and on the seat. Feeling disgusted, he threw them away and then,
after doing up his clothes, got out of the car as well. The cool night
air felt good against his hot skin.
He looked around and saw
Sakura standing by the driver's side, smoking.
"Sakura! Get round the other
side! This is my car!"
Sakura turned around slowly,
and sighed.
Hyde didn't say much on
the way home, and Sakura thought he might be mad. But when they reached
his house Hyde smiled and hugged him. "Good night. Thank you for letting
me drive."
Seeing Hyde's warm smile,
Sakura wanted to die for him. He squeezed Hyde's hand tight. "I'll see
you again soon, right?"
"Of course." As Sakura moved
to get out, Hyde said "Wait. I got you a present." He handed Sakura a bag.
"Don't open it until I'm gone."
Sakura took it. "Oh, thank
you." He got out of the car. "Good bye."
Hyde waved, and drove off.
Sakura opened the bag. "Aah,
cigarettes." Although Hyde really should be mad at him for what he did...that
little brat could actually be nice sometimes.
After recording the next
day, as tetsu was leaving the studio, Hyde caught his arm.
"What is it?"
"Umm...you're not mad at
me, are you?"
"What makes you think that?"
"You've been ignoring me
all day, and ... you hung up on me."
"Well..."
"It's my fault. I'm sorry,
I know, but I don't want you to be mad really...actually, I have something
I really need to talk to you about..."
Tetsu sighed. "Ok. When
do you want to talk?"
"I'm really sorry to bother
you...would you come to my house tonight? We can talk there."
"Tonight? It's that important?"
Hyde looked at the floor.
"It's...very important. I should have told you sooner.. but.."
"Ok, I'll come now. But
I don't think I can stay for that long. I'll follow you in my car, ok?"
"That's great. Let's go."
It was already dark when
they arrived at Hyde's house. To his relief, the house was quiet and empty.
He'd been worried about what would have happened if Sakura had been there
and tetsu had seen him. He would have died of shock.
Tetsu sat down in the dark
living room, forlornly staring out the full-length windows.
"Do you want something to
eat?"
Tetsu shook his head. "You
said you had something to talk about?"
Hyde sat down on the floor
in front of the sofa where tetsu was sitting, looking up at him. "I don't
know what you'll think...but I don't want to lie to you anymore."
Tetsu looked serious. "What
is it?"
Through the semi-darkness,
Hyde could still see the figure in front of him. He looked away, staring
out the window. "You know.. that visitor I said I had a while ago...'an
old friend'.." He looked at the ground. "Since then, I've been seeing that
visitor again and again and... I couldn't tell you...because..." He trailed
off, and brought one hand up to his face, as if to hide it.
Tetsu's soft voice broke
through the darkness. "It's him, isn't it."
Hyde nodded, still covering
his face.
"I suspected it anyway.
I knew you two wouldn't be able to keep away from each other for long."
Tetsu leaned back on the couch. Suddenly, he seemed very tired.
"I'm sorry I kept it from
you... I didn't want to worry you but...I couldn't..."
Tetsu sat up more. "What's
wrong?"
"I'm just...scared."
"Scared?"
"It's him....Sakura...he
scares me." Hyde was bent over, his hands still on his face. Tetsu knelt
down in front of him and gently pulled his hands away from his face. Hyde's
face looked very upset, and tetsu wrapped his arms around him, pulling
him sideways into his chest like a mother comforting her child.
"Now tell me what he's done."
"The first time I saw him,
he came into this house...i mean when I wasn't here, and he had a gun...I
couldn't see it was him..I was so scared."
"He had a _gun_?!"
Tetsu felt Hyde nod. "And
that's not all but...all the time...he come in here...and..." He couldn't
tell tetsu about the other stuff. It would only embarrass him.
Tetsu nodded. "I understand."
Hyde looked up and saw tetsu staring straight ahead, looking serious and
worried. He seemed to not know what to do to comfort Hyde.
"You don't have to give
me advice tetsu. It's ok, it's my problem, not yours." said Hyde quietly.
"I just wanted to tell you."
Tetsu nodded again. "I...I'm
glad you did."
Hyde pulled away from him
and stood up. "I'm really sorry to have bothered you."
"No, it's ok, really." Tetsu
stood up as well. "Hyde?"
"Yeah?"
"If you want him to stop
breaking into your house, change the locks."
Hyde was heading to the
front door to let tetsu out. He stopped and smiled weakly. "Oh yeah, I
didn't think of that."
Tetsu stopped by the door
and hugged Hyde. "If you ever have a problem with anything, just call me
ok."
Hyde smiled. 'I will."
Tetsu smiled back, but his
eyes still looked distant and worried.
Hyde watched as he got into
his car. He watched tetsu drive away before coming in and locking the door
behind him. As he turned around, a light switched on behind him.
Hyde jumped and flattened
him against the door, filled with fear. "..Sakura?"
The dark, smiling figure
appeared at the doorway. "Hello."
"Sakura... how much of that
did you hear?"
"All of it."
Hyde stood against the door,
terrified.
"Are you scared of me?"
He moved closer.
"I - I'm scared of you now..."
"Why?"
"Cos you look like you're
crazy."
Sakura's grin widened. "The
gun wasn't loaded, you know. I thought you would understand that there's
no way I would risk hurting you. But I had no idea how one-sided this relationship
was."
"What?"
"I guess all the times you
called me and came to my house must been figments of my imagination. You
didn't mention them to your beloved tetsu. No, it was all me coming over
here, nothing else."
He was standing right in
front of Hyde but Hyde felt guilt, not fear. How terrible he'd made Sakura
seem to tetsu! He hadn't mentioned his own side to the relationship at
all.
"Sakura, I'm sorry. I didn't
mean what I said..."
"Are you just saying that
cos I scare you?" Sakura smiled again. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you
felt that way. If I scare you so much, I won't do it anymore." Sakura pushed
past Hyde and unlocked the door.
"Wh-where are you going?"
"Where does it look like?"
Sakura stepped out of the door. "You don't have to be scared anymore."
As he was leaving Hyde grabbed
his arm. "No, Sakura, don't go, I didn't mean that - "
Sakura tried to shake him
off. "If you'll miss me so much, why don't you just go to your wonderful
tetsu? He won't scare you."
"What? What the hell are
you suggesting?!" Hyde yelled angrily.
Sakura pushed Hyde away
again and he lost his balance, falling backward onto the floor. He sat
up, his anger forgotten as Sakura stepped out the door.
"Sakura- "
The door closed.
It was no use going after
him, and Hyde slowly got up and locked the door again. He felt like he
might cry. But more than that he was angry at himself. What had happened
had been completely his fault.
There was only one thing
to do, even if it meant going against what tetsu would have wanted. Tomorrow,
he'd have to go to Sakura's house again.
"Sakura, let me in or I'll
break something out here!!" Hyde kicked the door again. It shook violently.
Still the house was silent. But Hyde knew he was here, his cell phone was
off.
Hm~~ do I have to break
a window? Hyde thought. Angrily, he threw himself at the door again, but
it was too strong and he just found himself sprawled on the ground again.
Sakura chose that exact
moment to open the door. Although it was almost evening, he looked like
he'd just got out of bed. "Stop making so much noise. Someone might hear."
Hyde stood up. "Are you
going to let me in?"
Sakura reluctantly stepped
away from the door and let Hyde pass. "Were you in bed?"
"Yes. I was out pretty late
last night." Sakura's face was suggestion enough as to what he'd been doing,
but Hyde decided not to get angry. He had to tell Sakura the reason he'd
come here.
"So what is it?"
"Isn't it obvious? I came
to apologise."
"That's a first."
"Shut up. So, I apologise
for what I did last night. It was stupid. I won't do it again. I'm sorry."
"Apology accepted." Yawning,
Sakura turned around and headed back towards the stairs. "Shut the door
on your way out."
"Sakura- " He ignored him,
walking up the stairs. "Hey, you can't do that, listen to me!" Sakura didn't
stop. Hyde slammed the door and went after him.
Sakura had gone into the
bedroom. Hyde opened the door as he was getting into bed.
"You're still here?"
Hyde went over to him. "I'm
not leaving until I've said everything I want to."
"Say it then."
Hyde faltered. "Um..well..."
Sakura finally turned to
look at him. "What."
Hyde felt uncomfortable.
"I...I said I was sorry, but I don't think you understood enough. I mean
I was wrong as well, and.." Saying this was killing Hyde.
"So what exactly were you
wrong about?"
"I mean..." Hyde looked
at the floor. "I mean, this isn't a one-sided relationship."
"It's not?"
"Well I'm here aren't I?"
Hyde yelled angrily.
"How lucky for me."
"Shut up!!" Hyde got angrier.
"You can't force me to say something like that, and then reject me!"
There were a few moments
of silence. Then, slowly, Sakura smiled up at Hyde, and narrowed his eyes.
"It looks cold out there, Hyde."
Hyde was shocked. Then he
though, Sakura expects me to run away.
I'll show him, he thought.
He took off his coat, and quickly climbed under the blankets with Sakura.
The bed was wonderfully
warm. Sakura's face looked surprised that Hyde had accepted so quickly.
"Ne, Sakura, there's one
other thing I had to tell you." Hyde was looking down.
"What's that?"
Hyde bit his lip. "It's
that...um.... I...."
Sakura took Hyde's chin
in his hand and lifted it to face him. "Spit it out."
"I love you."
They must have been the
hardest words he'd ever had to say. He'd never said it to a person, face
to face like this, in his whole life. His face went red.
"Well, what are you going
to do about it?"
"What?"
He brought Hyde's face closer.
"You said you loved me, so what are you going to do about it?"
Sakura's lips were less
than an inch away from his. Hyde understood. He closed his eyes, and kissed
him.
He opened Sakura's mouth
slightly and pushed his tongue in. After a second, Sakura kissed him back.
Then he slowly moved on top of Hyde, pinning him to the bed.
Sakura finally broke the
kiss. Hyde looked up at him, his cheeks red. Sakura smiled, and after a
few seconds Hyde smiled back.
Hyde's clothes came off
quickly. Sakura removed his shirt and began working on his pants as his
other hand reached over Hyde's chest. His hands moved down Hyde's body,
his fingers caressing him slowly. Eventually they slid down below his waist.
Hyde gasped as Sakura's
hand moved between his legs.
"Are you scared?"
Hyde shook his head, and
Sakura kissed him again. Then he broke his mouth away and moved it down,
over Hyde's neck, and then his chest. At the same time, his fingers moved
up and down over him. Unable to cope with this extreme stimulation, Hyde
cried out. He wrapped his arms tighter around Sakura's back.
The movements of Sakura's
tongue stopped and he brought his head up to Hyde's face again. "Ne Hyde,
do you still love me?"
Sakura's hands had not stopped.
Hyde, unable to reply, managed to nod. Sakura took one hand up and touched
Hyde's face gently, first his cheek, then his lips. He pushed his fingers
into Hyde's half-open mouth, feeling the warm tongue. Hyde groaned.
Sakura took the saliva-coated
fingers out of Hyde's mouth, leaving Hyde's lips covered with spit. Reaching
down, he used his other hand to spread Hyde's legs apart.
"Aah.."
Sakura kissed him again,
and pushed both of his fingers in. Hyde screamed.
"Ahh. . . no. . .that hurts.
..stop it. . .aaah!!"
Sakura moved his fingers
slightly, pushing them in deeper. Hyde cried out again, but his cries soon
dissolved into heavy breathing.
"Aah.....stop it......please..."
There were tears in Hyde's eyes.
Not wanting Hyde to start
crying again, Sakura pulled his finger out.
Hyde lay panting, looking
as if he was trying to calm down already.
Sakura felt angry. Hyde
was going to stop them from going any further again, like he always did.
Now he was all scared, but soon he'd be angry and make Sakura stop. But
maybe he was already at a point where he couldn't stop.
He'd have to stop Hyde instead.
Hyde lay with his eyes closed,
and Sakura was holding his wrists with each hand. Quickly, he transferred
Hyde's hand so he was holding both his wrists in one hand, and reached
for Hyde's discarded clothing. Using the piece of cloth he tied Hyde's
wrists together
Hyde's eyes opened. "What
are you..." he asked, sounding dazed. His eyes opened wide as he saw Sakura
tie his hands to the top of the bed. "Aaah!! What are you doing?? Sakura!!"
"This way you won't be able
to stop me anymore."
"Waaa--" Hyde shifted his
arms desperately, trying to break free, but the cloth was too tight.
"Relax, I won't hurt you.
I'm just scared you'll hit me if I leave your arms free."
Hyde looked so upset he
might cry. "Sakura, untie me right now! This isn't funny-"
Sakura kissed him again,
ignoring his words. His arms wrapped around Hyde's waist, and he moved
his mouth over Hyde's neck.
Hyde, panicking, began to
cry. "No, don't, please.."
Sakura's touch felt so different
than it had just before. Because Hyde resisted it, the hands felt cold
and detached, and he got no nice feelings out of it.
Hyde struggled desperately,
trying to free his wrists. "Please, let me go, I'll let you anyway - "
"I don't believe you."
"Why...why not?"
"Because you always stopped
me before. But not now, ok? It won't hurt much, I promise." Sakura smiled.
But Hyde continued crying.
Sakura's hands continued.
"Sakura..." Hyde moaned.
"Sakura, why are you doing this..."
Sakura knew he was talking
about not just what was happening now, but what Sakura had been forcing
him to do over the last two weeks.
Sakura didn't stop smiling.
He kissed Hyde's mouth again. “Because we're friends Hyde, and friends
love each other." He snickered.
Hyde's fear was turning
into anger. He wanted to hurt Sakura so badly to get him back for doing
this. But his arms were tied and Sakura was pinning down his legs. He had
to use words instead.
Sakura was kissing his face.
"I love you, Hyde, I always loved you.."
"I guess you think that
I loved you from the start as well."
Before Sakura could answer
he continued, his voice still breaking from the tears.
"'Cos it's not true. Ne,
I used to love you as my friend, but, after what you did - "
Sakura leaned over him,
putting his elbows on either side of Hyde's face. "And what did I 'do'?"
"You know what you did!"
Hyde yelled.
"No, explain it please."
"You destroyed the band,
you destroyed my whole life. I thought I was going to die. You destroyed
the whole reason for my life. I hated you then, and I still do!!"
The lies spilled out of
Hyde's lips. "I hate you, I hate you..." For a second he thought he saw
the hurt he'd been aiming for across Sakura's face. But then his face became
very cold and hard. Looking down at Hyde, he quickly brought one knee up
violently between Hyde's legs.
Hyde screamed in pain, and
began to cry again. Sakura's face didn't change. "Be quiet."
Hyde was sobbing. "Please
- " Sakura's fingers traced down Hyde's body, horribly slowly. Feeling
sick, Hyde closed his eyes, trying to escape.
"Open your eyes."
Hyde ignored him.
Sakura's fingers pushed
their way to the place they had been just a few minutes before. This time,
because they were not wet he had to force them in quite violently.
"Uaaahh--" Hyde tried desperately
to squirm away, trying to get his fingers out.
"What's wrong? Doesn't feel
good?" Sakura asked flatly.
Hyde opened his eyes and
shook his head widely.
"Aah, I can help that."
said Sakura, forcing another finger in.
"Aaaah--!!" Hyde could not
control the screams coming out of him. The faint pleasure that reached
him was far overshadowed by the horrible pain of being violated like this.
Sakura pushed his legs apart more. "Are you ready yet, Hyde?" he whispered
in his ear.
Hyde couldn't reply, he
just tried to shake his head. Sakura kissed his neck, then bit it softly.
His nails dragged lightly down Hyde's body, grabbing his leg. Suddenly,
the fingers were pulled out of Hyde.
Hyde made a small crying
noise, and Sakura brought Hyde's legs up so they were wrapped around his
waist.
"This may hurt just a little
bit."
"What-? Ahh -- aaaaaaahhh!!!!!!!!!"
Hyde screamed out in pain as Sakura entered him. Hearing the screams, Sakura
smiled, feeling nothing for him. In fact, he wanted him to scream more.
He forced deeper into Hyde,
feeling the flesh tear. Yes, Hyde was too small to do this painlessly anyway.
Hyde's screams were fading as he grew weaker, and soon he lay, his eyes
half-closed, his heavy breathing and Sakura's the only sounds in the room.
The pleasure was spreading
through Sakura's body and he gripped Hyde tighter. "Ah...hyde..."
The movements of Sakura's
body began to speed up as he called out Hyde's name.
"uuh..."
Hyde, semi-conscious, had
a faint feeling of liquid being released inside of him, at about the same
time that he, provoked by the amazing stimulation, came as well. Hyde felt
his consciousness slipping away as Sakura held him tighter and tighter.
And although they were physically
so extremely close, in reality at that moment there was nothing but hatred
between them.
Hyde didn't want to wake
up, but some part of him inside told him he had to. He opened his eyes
slowly, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. His body felt heavy and
painful. He lifted his arm slowly to touch his face, and caught sight of
the red marks on his wrist.
Memories of what had happened
began to come back to him. He'd come over here, he'd been with Sakura,
then what had happened? It was like they'd both gone crazy.
Hyde felt the presence of
someone next to him, and moved his head slightly. Sakura was there, his
hair falling in his face as he slept. Hyde had the feeling he had to move
away. But when he moved his legs, pain flashed through his body, as if
his insides were tearing.
"Aah!!" Hyde cried out,
before remembering he couldn't wake Sakura. Wondering what was wrong with
him, he lifted the sheets.
Hyde gasped at what he saw.
"There's...blood....." It was on the sheets, covering the top of his legs.
It was dried, but at the sudden movement Hyde could feel fresh blood leaking
out.
Hyde lay in a half-sitting
up position, paralysed as he finally remembered all of what had happened
last night. "Sakura...you...."
A combination of pain, horror
and disgust from the sight of the blood overcame him, and he could barely
manage to lean over the side of the bed before he threw up.
Sakura was awakened by Hyde's
retching noises. He sat up and looked around in horror. Then he remembered
everything, including Hyde's words. Anything that happened after that seemed
unimportant in comparison.
Hyde seemed to have finished
throwing up and just lay there, coughing up air. He looked pathetic and
so scared. Sakura wanted to comfort him, but as far as he was concerned
they were still fighting.
After he put his clothes
on, he went and stood by Hyde's side of the bed, looking down at him coldly.
Then he looked at the mess Hyde had made on the floor.
"Get out of bed. I have
to clean this up, and change the sheets as well."
Hyde shook his head slightly.
He looked terrified, and close to tears. "I can't move my legs...it hurts....
and there's blood..."
"Of course there's blood.
I raped you, you moron. Now I'll have to carry you, I guess."
Hyde just lay there, looking
scared. Sakura tried to pick him up but he cried out in pain. He tried
several times and eventually ended up picking up Hyde around the waist
and bending his legs slowly until he could carry him into the bathroom.
He put Hyde in the shower and turned on the water so he could wash the
blood off. Then he went out to try to clean up the mess.
Sakura found remorse for
what he'd done creeping up inside him. More than anything, he wanted him
and Hyde not to hate each other anymore. But there was no way he was apologizing.
Not after what Hyde had said to him. What had happened was not Sakura's
fault.
"I can't believe it. He's
not here again?! After not turning up yesterday, he's gonna be late again!?
What's wrong with that guy?" Ken said, looking worried.
"You think he's sick?" Yukihiro
asked.
"He'd have to be pretty
sick to miss practice twice. Tetsu, when was the last time you rang him?"
"This morning. His phone's
still off. And when I ring his house, there's no answer."
"And you went there and
there's no answer, right?"
Tetsu nodded. He was staring
out of the window, as if deep in thought. He seemed to be thinking about
something unknown to the others.
Ken leaned right back on
the sofa so he was almost lying down. "This is ridiculous. We can't practice
without a vocalist." he whined. He picked up his phone. "I'll try his cell
phone one more time." He picked up his phone and dialed. "Hey, it's ringing!"
Sakura silently held out
the ringing phone to Hyde, who slowly reached his arm out from under the
blankets to take it. He held the phone to his ear and pressed the button.
"..hello?" he rasped.
"Oh hello, Hyde, it's Ken.
We're having practice now, and you missed it yesterday as well, and we're
worried.."
"I'm...sick...." Hyde's
voice was incredibly weak.
"You sound terrible. I guess
you've been asleep when we've been trying to contact you. It's ok then,
we can manage for another day."
"I'm sorry ken-chan..I couldn't......"
"It's ok haido. Just try
to go back to sleep and get better so you can come tomorrow, ok?" Ken's
voice was kind.
"Thankyou..."
On Ken's side of the phone,
tetsu had stood up when Hyde had answered and now was asking for the phone.
Ken ignored him, and tetsu tried to grab it. Ken, surprised, pushed him
away.
"Let me talk to him!" Tetsu
said angrily. Ken held his hand out to be quiet and turned away. "Ok Hyde,
see you tomorrow if you're better...ok, good bye then." He hit the 'talk
off' button. "Oh. Seems he really _was_ sick."
Tetsu just stood there looking
angry. "What's wrong with you?" Ken asked.
"Why didn't you let me talk?"
"Cos he was sick! He had
to sleep again."
Tetsu looked angrier.
"What's wrong?"
Tetsu shook his head and
sighed. There was no way he could tell Ken what he knew about Hyde. Definitely
not with Yuki here as well. "Oh well...there's no point practicing without
a vocalist for yet another day. You two can go home." Without further warning,
he picked up his bag and walked out.
Ken turned to Yuki. "What
the hell's wrong with him?"
Yuki shrugged. "Wanna practice
anyway?"
Ken shrugged as well. "That's
why I came here." He picked up his guitar.
Hyde put down the phone.
Sakura had sat down as he talked and was now leaning against the side of
the bed. As he took the phone away from Hyde, he took his hand in his.
Hyde pulled his hand away...
but after hesitating for just a second.
It was late Wednesday morning,
and in the two days he'd already been in Sakura's house Hyde had had a
lot of time to think, due to the fact that for most of this time he could
barely turn over without Sakura's help. Now he felt a bit better, but the
main thing that had changed was his opinion on what had happened.
At first he'd blamed the
entire thing on Sakura. But he'd started to realize that that was unreasonable.
This thought was first highlighted by the fact that Sakura had not apologized
at all. This for some reason made it seem like Sakura knew it had not been
his fault.
Hyde now thought it had
been equally their fault. Sakura had still been mad and hurt about what
Hyde had said about him to tetsu, and he'd been scared that Hyde would
reject him again. Tying him up had been a bit extreme, but Hyde thought
Sakura might just have been scared Hyde would actually physically fight
him off, as he had actually done before. He was a much better fighter than
Sakura.
And what he'd said to Sakura
- those untrue words. He had provoked him by hurting him. And Sakura had
hurt him back in the only way he could. Physical or not, the hurt was the
same.
Hyde wanted to tell Sakura
all this, tell him he was sorry for what he'd said, but he didn't know
how.
Sakura sighed and stood
up, mumbling something about going out. Hyde didn't know where Sakura was
always going, but he suspected Sakura had another band now. Whatever, it
wasn't any of his business.
When Sakura was gone, Hyde
very, very slowly tried to sit up. It still hurt faintly but the pain had
mostly gone away. Hyde still doubted he could actually walk very far, but
it was a start. As he very slowly lay down and turned on his side, he started
to plan what he would say to Sakura.
Sakura returned later in
the day. The evening light was slanting through the window and filling
the room as he sat down on the edge of his bed and lit a cigarette. Hyde,
who had been lying twisted in the blankets on the other side of the bed,
turned around.
"Sakura" he said softly.
"Can we talk.."
Sakura turned around. "Aren't
you too sick?"
Hyde shook his head slightly.
"I'm ok now. I want to go a practice tomorrow. But I need to talk to you."
Sakura turned around again
to tip ash into the tray on the bedside table. "Do it then."
To Sakura's surprise, he
felt Hyde's arms go around him from behind. Shocked, he turned around to
see him. Hyde was wearing one of Sakura's black tank tops, and this exposing
his skinny arms made him seem incredibly cute. Sakura couldn't help smiling.
"I don't want to say it.."
Hyde mumbled. "Are you going to make me say all this serious stuff again
Sakura..."
Sakura shook his head. "If
you don't apologise and I don't apologise, then they should cancel each
other out I think."
Hyde nodded. He stared at
Sakura intensely. "I don't hate you, of course."
Sakura nodded.
"I meant what I said...you
know, before that." Hyde once again wrapped his arms around Sakura, wanting
to feel his warmth.
"I know. I mean it too."
Sakura stroked his hair. "I really don't want to hurt you, haido."
"I know."
"I'm sorry. I'll never hurt
you like that again, I promise."
Hyde smiled sadly. "What
an idiot I am, forgiving you for stuff like this..." he mumbled. He put
his arms around Sakura's waist as Sakura kissed him.
Sakura could see the faint
bruises he'd left on Hyde's arms and neck, and the red marks on his wrists
where the flesh had been rubbed raw were painfully visible. He didn't want
to touch Hyde too hard, in case he might break.
Sakura gently lay him down
on the bed. Hyde was wearing only boxer shorts, exposing slim, feminine
legs. Sakura ran his hands up them and tried to touch Hyde, but he winced
in pain, still bruised from where Sakura had kneed him.
Sakura pulled back. "I don't
know what I can do for you...without hurting you.."
Hyde looked upset, then
blushed slightly. "It's ok.. I can do something for you."
"What?"
"You'll have to put out
your cigarette, then close your eyes."
Sakura did so, and sat there
with his eyes closed. "What are you going to do?"
"Shh.." Hyde sat up slowly,
wincing. Then he lay Sakura, still with his eyes closed, gently down on
the bed. Painfully and very slowly he sat on the bottom of Sakura's legs.
Slowly he leant down and began undoing Sakura's pants.
Sakura began to sit up.
"Oi, hyde...."
"It's ok."
"You don't have to."
Hyde had finished removing
the clothing. "It's not fair you have to do all the work all the time."
Then he gave a very evil smile.
It was getting darker. Sakura
strained to see Hyde as he began to work with his mouth.
Sakura groaned slightly
as Hyde moved his tongue skillfully. Unable to take being on the bottom
any longer, he turned on his side.
Hyde didn't seem to mind.
Sakura began to move back and forth, Hyde gripping his arms around his
waist. His eyes narrowed, Hyde kept the smile on his face as he took it
in his mouth.
The movements increased.
Hyde closed his eyes as Sakura moved on top of him. The "evil" look on
Hyde's face had shown a different side of him Sakura hadn't seen in a long
time. "haido......."
Hyde was moving his tongue
again. His eyes, which had been tightly closed, opened in surprise as the
liquid exploded down his mouth, most of it being forced down his throat
before he could cough it up.
He pulled away, coughing.
The liquid flowed down his face and neck. Sakura took his face in his hands,
and began to lick it away as Hyde was laughing.
Sakura angled Hyde's face
to look at him, as if questioning what he was laughing at. Hyde just continued
laughing, as if drunk. "Yuck." he said. "Yuck yuck yuck. I shouldn't have
done that..."
Sakura smiled as he finished
cleaning off Hyde's face and neck. "Pervert......."
Hyde started laughing again,
and then suddenly fell forward into Sakura's arms. Seeing him there, he
saw how tired and weak he suddenly looked, his skin deathly pale against
Sakura's black clothes.
"Sakura--" Hyde mumbled,
moving forward in his arms, laying there for a long time. He looked up
slightly, observing Sakura's beautiful face. Sakura looked down at him,
before helping him into
a lying position. He put on the rest of his clothes again before moving
to sit beside Hyde. "Are you ok?"
Hyde nodded, smiling as
he let him pull the blankets over him.
Sakura lay down beside him."..You're
going home tomorrow?"
"Yes, I'm going to try to
go to practice I think."
Sakura moved closer and
touched his face. "Don't work too hard ok, you're still sick." He took
Hyde's hand.
Hyde nodded. "Ring me tomorrow
ok."
"Okay."
The next minute was asleep.
Still holding his hand, Sakura stared at the beautiful sleeping face, and
slowly leant over to kiss him on the cheek. He clutched Hyde's hand tight,
feeling that whatever there was between them, it had never been stronger.
"My god Hyde! What's wrong
with you!?" Ken yelled.
Hyde was wearing a long
coat, hat and gloves, which he hadn't taken off although they were inside.
His skin was incredibly pale and he seemed to be in great pain whenever
he moved.
"You're still sick." Ken
said as he helped Hyde sit down. "You shouldn't have come."
"Well it's good you did."
said tetsu from across the room.
Ken looked at him. "Are
you crazy? Hyde can't sing like this."
"He'll have to. We're too
far behind schedule to miss another whole day."
"What on earth is wrong
with you? Can't you see he's sick?"
Tetsu looked at him angrily.
"Don't get involved in things you don't know about, Ken!"
Ken looked shocked, then
hurt. Tetsu was never usually this mean.
"Well maybe you better tell
me about it then."
Tetsu looked at him, then
at Yuki and Hyde, who were watching them fight silently, and ignored the
request. Instead he said "Hyde, can I talk to you in the other room please?"
Tetsu went into the next room and Hyde followed, closing the door after
him. They sat down opposite each other. After a second, Hyde spoke.
"Why are you so angry? Why
were you so mean to Ken?"
"I'll get to that. I'm asking
you the questions."
Hyde nodded, surprised.
"So, seen you-know-who lately?"
Hyde stammered. "Um, well,
yes, I mean..."
"Funny how you've been disappearing
a lot lately."
"Disappearing?"
"Pretending to be sick so
you can miss practice and be with Sakura is not on, Hyde."
Hyde's eyes widened. "What?
No, I didn't do that.."
"That's why you weren't
at home then? I went to your house."
"No, you don't understand
- "
"You're the one who doesn't
understand Hyde. It was ok when you said he was just visiting you. I could
sympathise with you. But when you go to him, which you're not allowed to
do, and miss practice, and then lie about it...that isn't going to happen
in my band."
"But - "
"What's next, you're going
to not turn up for a live so that you two can go and eat ice cream together?"
"Tetsu!!"
"Enough is enough, Hyde.
This is it. If you don't stop seeing Sakura, I'm kicking you out of the
band."
Time seemed to stand still
as the shock went through Hyde. He stopped what he'd been trying to say
and simply stared at tetsu, unbelieving.
Finally, he stood up and
yelled "You can't kick me out, tetsu! It would break up the whole band..."
"If anyone finds out you've
been seeing him again, I mean the record company, the media, anyone, then
the band is gone anyway. Oh Hyde, how could you be so selfish? Why are
you risking everyone else's dreams, just so you can see him?"
Hyde fell back weakly in
his chair. It was terrible because he knew tetsu was absolutely right.
He could almost feel his entire world crashing down around him. And just
when he and Sakura were finally going right...
Hyde began to cry. Tetsu
looked surprised, because usually he never cried. Usually whenever anyone
else cried tetsu would cry as well, but this time he just watched him angrily.
He did feel a bit sorry for Hyde, but he was more angry.
"No, tetsu, please, don't
make me do this - " Hyde sobbed.
"I'm sorry. There's no other
way."
"Please, you can't kick
me out. I'm the most popular one!"
"You won't be very quickly
if I reveal the real reason behind the splitting up of the band and the
fans blame you for it."
Hyde just sat there, holding
his head in his hands. Tetsu watched him, feeling sorry for him. He was
not a mean person, and could almost tell what Hyde was feeling.
He put his hand on Hyde's
shoulder. "Trust me, he's not worth it."
Hyde turned away, and then
got up and stormed out, still crying.
Tetsu left the room. As
he went into the next room Ken grabbed him. "Tell me what's going on now,
ok?"
Tetsu looked away. "It -
it looks like Hyde may be leaving the band."
"What?" Ken looked so shocked
he let go of tetsu and put his hand to his face. "Why?"
"It's a long story. Don't
think too much about it."
"Don't think about it? Although
this will destroy the whole band?"
"Why don't you tell Hyde
that?" tetsu said. "I'm going home."
