Fireworks in the Soul
By Teshi
Chapter 1
A New Friend
The light breeze caressed his face, playfully
whipping at his bandana tails. It sang
of a love that would always be.
Delicate sunlight warmed his cold skin and slowly made its way inside,
heating up his very soul. Closing his
eyes, he let the sounds of the nearby forest take him to a far away place. A land where there was no fear, where he and
his brothers could go free. In this
world, humans and mutants got along in one accord. A rustling of the grass behind him, made his dark brown eyes
flash open and he spun around quickly.
Always on the defensive. His bo
had somehow made its way to his hands, and now he grasped it firmly. A timid and frightened creature crouched in
the bushes in front of him. As his eyes
came into clear focus he noticed something strangely familiar about the form of
the shaking being he was staring at.
Then, as if a lighting bolt had struck the top of his head, he knew what
that form was. It was a female mutant
turtle, like Venus. When the
realization hit him, he immediately put away his bo, and slowly knelt down in
front of her, as not to scare her any further.
Ever so gently and slowly he held out his hand toward her.
I crouched
there, transfixed. Here was another
giant turtle, like myself! He was so
big! Aaahh! What is he doing? Hey,
he’s got a bo in his hands. Oh no, he’s
going to attack me with it. Gotta do
something. Hide, run, protect myself! Wait a minute, what’s this? He’s putting
away his weapon, and now he’s……..he’s slowly kneeling down,………and now he’s
holding his hand out to me? Woah! Oh gracious me, what should I do? Still crouching where I was, I watched this
large male turtle in front of me, taking in as much detail as I could about
him. Pine green skin a little darker
than my own, rippled chest and abs on a light gold plastron. Man,
am I ever checking him out. Hee hee!
Ok, now where was I? Oh yeah….. Three
fingered hands (a thumb and two fingers), two toed feet, brown leather elbow
and knee pads, black belt and wrist guards, a single brown bo, unlike my silver
one, sticking up from behind his head, a dark purple mask to match deep, dark
brown eyes. Wait a minute, he’s wearing a mask? Oh Lord Kalizka! He’s a ninja!
Donatello
patiently waited for her to move. An
eye blink, a finger moving, her getting up and running away. Anything to
reassure him that she was real, for he was starting to think he had gone
nuts. While he waited, he began to take
in what he could see about her. Light
pine green skin, whitish gold plastron with white trim around it, a light
purple skirt adorned her waist; along with a white cloak about her shoulders,
two toes, three fingers, he paused when he got to her unmasked eyes. Wow!
Coal black eyes with flecks of silver and blue, making them look
like miniature night skies filled with stars.
Suddenly she moved, making him break out of his daydream type
state. He still held his hand out
toward her and now she was taking it!
Oh I better be right in doing this. Cautiously I reach out with my right hand,
and take this strange turtle’s own outstretched hand. It was surprisingly soft and warm. I could feel the gentleness and care that lay behind the skin and
bones. This was one turtle I didn’t
need worry about. Being how I was still
in my crouch position, I begin to inch closer to him, walking on the balls of
my feet. He’s holding his breath, I
see. His eyes seem to sparkle with an
underlying smile as I make my way closer to him. A smile tugs at the corners of my own mouth when I finally stop
about a foot in front of him. He’s gorgeous!
“Hey Leo,
hasn’t Don been gone a long time?” Mikey asked, as he absent mindedly flipped
through the t.v. channels. He could
hear the frown upon his older brother’s face, without him even having to make a
sound.
“Yes he has, but I’m sure he has a
good reason. We’ve all been under a lot
of stress lately. He’s probably just
worried about Master Splinter, as we all are.” Mike nodded his head at this,
and turned the t.v. off. There was
nothing good on at the moment. Just
then Venus entered the room with a line of sneezes.
“Ewww! That didn’t sound good Ven. You feeling ok?” Michaelangelo asked,
turning to face her. She rubbed her
beak gently and looked to Mike.
“No, I tink
I’m coming down wid a cowd.” Mikey giggled at the way she sounded, but Leo gave
him a stern look and went to comfort his girlfriend. Mike made a face at Leo playfully, before replying,
“I’ll go make
ya some chicken soup. That should cure
what ails ya!!” Mike grinned as he jumped over the back of the couch and raced
into the kitchen, grateful for the excuse to cook up a nice soup. It was starting to turn chillier and he was
surprised he hadn’t come down with a cold himself, considering all the swimming
he does in the lake. Humming to himself
he grabbed a big pot from one of the cupboards and filled it with water. This was going to be fun. He loved to cook.
Don gasped
inwardly as this new female turtle actually took his hand. Glancing at the small gap between him, he
felt his stomach do a somersault. He
had never been this close to another female before, except April and Venus, but
that was only to give them hugs. She
looked up at him, those already sparkling eyes, glittering even brighter. Swallowing hard, he pushed away his fear and
carefully asked,
“What’s your
name?”
I could sense
his uneasiness, but the truth was I was terrified as well. Taking his hand was the scariest thing I
have done in my entire life. He could
have attacked me for all I knew, but something told me it was okay to trust
him. His palms began to get sweaty, and
the terror betrayed his eyes. One thing he hasn’t mastered yet I see. I forced a small smile to my lips, to help
ease his nerves as well as my own.
Lowering myself to my knees, I still kept a grip on his hand and he
didn’t seem to mind. Why was this
turtle being so nice to me? He doesn’t even know me. Then again, I trust him, and I don’t know him. What
was that? He asked me my name. Well,
here goes nothing.
“Teshikyama,
but everyone calls me Teshi.” I see his
lips curl up in a sincere smile. Woah, is he ever good looking! Clearing
my throat, I ask him what his name is, while I begin to caress his thumb with
my own.
He could feel
his heart thumping madly against his chest.
Could she hear it? He hoped that she couldn’t. He swallowed, as her thumb began to caress
his hand. She wasn’t afraid of him.
That was a good sign. But then again,
where did she come from? Was she related to them some how? Was she a ninja like
them? So many questions raced through his mind, making him dizzy. He had heard her ask him his name, but
somehow his voice got trapped in his throat, not wanting to escape. Come on
Donnie, get some guts will ya. She’s not going to bite. I’m sure she’s just as curious about you, as
you are about her. So suck it up
already! Swallowing again, but this
time harder; he found his voice,
“My name is Donatello, but everyone calls me
Don or Donnie.” He could feel a blush finding it’s way to his cheeks. Oh great, just what I need, to get shy. Sheesh, I really am a wuss. Forcing his fear and uneasiness aside,
he willed himself to ask her more questions.
“Where are you from? How did you come to be here? And why aren’t you
afraid of me?”
Stupid
stomach, stop doing flips in there! He’s not going to hurt you. So just chill out ok! I put my free hand against my mid
plastron, trying my hardest to keep my calm composure. Taking in a few silent, deep breaths, so he
won’t see how scared I really am; I feel myself begin to ease up. His eyes are calling me, those deep,
chocolate brown pools of compassion and hidden fear. Slowly I bring myself to look into the ‘windows of his soul’. What I find there makes me smile. He’s a peace maker/keeper. A pacifist ninja if you will. Chuckling inwardly, I find that to be quite
interesting. Later I shall find out the
whole story behind him, but first I need to tell him a little about myself,
since he so nicely asked me. Never
breaking eye contact, I let him know what he wants,
“I am from a
planet called Turtomei. I came here
because my family wanted to…….” I trail off, the harsh emotion of loneliness
taking over me again. My eyes fill with
tears, and I curse myself for being so weak.
The hot wetness stays put, after being willed there. A gentle, concerned look now masks this
friendly male turtle’s face, which gives me the strength to continue, “They
were killed not too long after we arrived.
They told me I could go exploring by myself. I was so happy, until I got a mind sent scream from my
mother. Immediately I follow the source
of the scream, but it was too late.
They were already gone by the time I got to them.” The cursed warm liquid slowly begins to
glide down my cheeks. It never does do
what I tell it to do. I look away from
him, slightly embarrassed at how emotional I have become. A warm, tingling touch to my face quickly
makes me look back to that caring face.
He is wiping away my tears. Ok, heart is going 90 million miles a
second! I don’t dare move, just let him proceed.
“I’m sorry,”
was all he said, after he took his hand away. Somehow, that was all he needed to say. It was enough to let me know he cared and was truly a friend, not
a foe; and a friend is what I was in dire need of at the moment. Throwing my pride aside, I wrap my arms
around his neck and cry the hardest I have ever cried before, into his
chest. I feel his body jump a little at
my sudden outburst, but after a moment, his unbelievably strong arms are holding
me tight in a secure embrace.
“Here you go
Venus! A nice steaming bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup. This should make
you better in no time!” Michaelangelo grinned, as he walked to the couch that
held the ill feeling female turtle. She
returned a weak smile, as he handed her the delicious smelling bowl of a
remedy.
“Tank oo
Mikey,” she snuffled. He gave her a frown
and sat next to her.
“You really
aren’t feeling good are ya?” Shaking her head no, she picked up the spoon and
began to shovel the welcomed food into her mouth. It burned her insides as it went down, but did it ever feel good.
Heh heh heh! Take that you blasted cold. No sickness is ever a match for Mikey’s chicken noodle soup! A grin tugged at the corners of her small
mouth, making Mike look curiously to her.
“What?”
“I was just
telling da illness in my body, dat it didn’t hab a chance against your soup.” Michaelangelo smiled brightly at that, and
burst out laughing alongside of Venus.
This was one cold that wasn’t going to last very long.
Raphael was bored. He had nothing to do, except for sit around
on his tail, wishing for some action. Blast that Leonardo! Always telling us what to do! And what we
can’t do! He grabbed his sais from
his belt and began to do some katas to help relieve some of the boredom. That didn’t last too long though, for he was
itching for a fight. He could feel his
muscles begin to twitch as a evil snarl crossed his lips. Tonight he was going back to the city, whether
Leo liked it or not. He was going to
find the rest of the Foot Clan and be rid of them. Casey would surely like to come along to help him. For there was no way he was going to stay at
April’s farm forever! Smiling
sinisterly he walked over to his punching bag to get warmed up. This was going to be a fun night.
“Master
Splinter?” Leonardo asked softly, as he stepped into the doorway of Splinter’s
room. He found the old rat half asleep,
listening to the radio.
“Ahh,
Leonardo. What is it my son?” Taking that as a welcome to come in, Leo
strode over to his father and kneeled on the rug before him.
“I’m worried
about you master. You seem to be
getting weaker everyday. And that
frightens me.” The kind old rat, seemed
to be a bit more awake now, and placed a shaky hand upon his young son’s. A warm smile pulled the corners of his mouth
up,
“I am
thankful for your concern Leonardo, but I am doing just fine. This cooler weather is just taking a toll on
these old bones of mine. I am not as
young as I used to be you know.” Leo
couldn’t help but smile up at his master when he heard that. He squeezed the wise rat’s hand, before
standing up.
“I shall get
you some tea master, to help warm you.”
With that he bowed to Master Splinter and left the room. He couldn’t hear Splinter’s soft chuckle as
he left.
“Oh Leonardo.”
He just held
her tightly in his arms, letting her cry. Knowing from many an experience, that
it was the best thing in a situation like this. Her body felt so small, yet so pleasing at the same time, as she
poured out her hurt and soul wrenching pain.
Stroking her head gently, he began to whisper to her softly; comforting
words he knew she needed to hear. She
hugged him tighter as her sobs turned into sniffles, then finally a soft
panting as she caught her breath.
Still, he just held her close, until she said it was time for him to let
go. Something was changing inside of
him, but it wasn’t an emotion he’d ever experienced before, to tell what it
was. He felt connected to her somehow,
but that was silly for he had just met her.
Shrugging off the sensation, he felt her move in his arms, but she didn’t
break away.
After a
moment of sobbing, I finally regain my demeanor and just sit there, in his
loving and safe hold. I don’t ever want
to break free. His arms feel so good
and so solid around my thin waist, that I know he could crush me into a tiny
ball no problem, but I also know that he would never, ever hurt me. Strange,
I feel as though I’m one with him somehow.
But how could that be? I don’t
even know him……. Hey, what’s this? He’s picking me up, or is he just getting in a more comfortable
position? Suddenly I’m lifted into
his arms. Ok, my body has left the ground, I’m definitely being picked up. But where is he taking me? Stealing a glance up at his slightly pudgy,
dark green face I notice a half grin upon his lips. Hmm, I wonder what he’d do
if I all of a sudden gave him a kiss?
Nahh, better not. Instead I
carefully ask him,
“Where are we
going?”
She felt so
light in his arms. Almost as if he were
carrying air. He noticed her to be
about half the size of Venus, which contributed to how heavy she would
feel. A passion in the pit of his
stomach told him to never let her go. To
just keep her in his arms forever, and not dare to ever look away from her
face. Starting to chew on his bottom
lip, he suppressed the urge to kiss her madly right then and there. In fact her
question came at the right moment, as something to keep his mouth busy.
“I’m going to
take you back to my home. I can’t just
leave you out here. The weather is
turning colder and you have no where to go, except for with me.” She nodded her head and hugged his neck a
little tighter, her warm, moist breath sending shivers down his spine. His body racked with a noticeable shudder.
“What’s
wrong?” she asked.
“Nothing, it’s
just the wind,” he lied as he grinned down to her. She just gave him a playful smile in response, and rested her
head on his shoulder. Within a few
minutes, he could hear her breathing slow, and he knew she had fallen asleep in
his arms.
“It’s about
time!” Mike sang out, as Donatello walked through the door. Don ignored his brother and went to set
Teshi on the couch.
“Ooohh! Donnie’s
got a girlfriend. So that’s where you were, eh?” Donatello, Leonardo, and Venus
gave Michaelangelo looks that instantly shut him up.
“Where does
she come fwom?” Venus asked, kneeling down to the new female turtle. Her nose was still stuffed up from the cold,
but no one seemed to notice.
“She says she
comes from a planet called Turtomei, wherever that is,” Don shrugged, as he
continued, “She’s had it pretty rough, her family was killed shortly after they
arrived here.”
“Ohh, da po’
dear,” Venus said, running a gentle hand across Teshi’s brow. “Eeek, Don she feels pwetty wa’m. Maybe you should get her a wet washcwoth.”
“I’ll get it,”
Mike said, his tone not teasing anymore.
The purple masked turtle gave him a grateful smile, for he really didn’t
want to leave Teshi’s side.
“Thanks.”
“No prob,” Mikey
said, as he walked to the bathroom for a cloth.
“What’s her
name?” Leo asked, looking the new female over.
“Teshikyama,
but she says that everyone calls her Teshi.”
The turtle in the blue mask nodded, his visage thoughtful. Don took Teshi’s hand in his, as Venus
placed a pillow under her head.
“She’s so
small,” Venus whispered. “How old do
you tink she is?” Without taking his
eyes from his new friend’s face, he replied,
“I’m not
sure, but I bet she’s around our age.”
Mike returned with the cool cloth in his clutches.
“Here you go
dude,” he said as he held the washcloth out to his brother. Venus took it, as Leo silently slipped out
of the room. He needed to tell Splinter
the news, and also had to figure out what they were going to do with her.
“Don,” Venus
said softly, and held the wet cloth out to him.
“Hmm? Ohh,
thanks,” he took the cloth and placed it on her forehead, careful not to wake
her. She stirred, but didn’t
waken. The three turtles looked to one
another, then got up and headed in the direction Leonardo had gone just moments
ago.
“What is it
my children?” Splinter asked, somewhat shocked as all of his children, save Raphael,
poured into his room.
“Master,”
Donatello began, “I have found another female turtle, while I was out in the
woods earlier. She’s not a mutant, she’s from a planet called Turtomei. Her family was killed shortly after they
arrived,” Don sucked in a breath, and looked to the other three, all of them
gave him a nod to continue, “I guess what I’m trying to get at is, do you think
she could stay here with us? I mean, she has no where else to go.” Master Splinter took Donatello’s hand in his
own, and looked to each one of his children in turn, his eyes finally locking with
Leonardo’s.
“What do you
think of this my son?” Donatello looked back to his older brother with a ‘come
on, tell him that’s what is best’ look.
Leo contemplated for a moment,
“I believe
Donatello is right. She has no where else to go, besides the world would
probably end up capturing her or killing her if we were to leave her out there.” The turtle in the purple mask sighed in
relief, as did Mikey and Venus.
“I see,”
Splinter stated, his voice void of any emotion. All eyes turned to him, “Then, I guess she is to stay here with
us, but Donatello; you will be the one to explain this all to April.”
“Yes Master.
Thank you,” Donatello grinned, restraining himself from hugging his father.
Splinter chuckled, but was quickly silenced when two frightened screams erupted
from the living room. Hands grabbed
weapons, eyes cast looks to Splinter, then four turtles raced out of the room
to see what the commotion was all about.
Raphael
stopped in mid punch. He had heard the
screams as well. Grabbing his sais, he
raced out of his room to see what was going on. If someone has hurt Venus or April, they will pay!!! He swore to
himself. Though no one knew it, he had a major crush upon Venus, but of course
Leo had gotten to her first. As he
rounded the corner, he could see what looked to be Venus pinning April to the
ground, but as he came nearer he could tell that it wasn’t Venus on the floor
with April. It was another female turtle
and a fine one at that!
The last
thing I remember was falling asleep in Donatello’s arms. What strong arms they were too. I felt so safe, so secure in his
embrace. Like I was a part of him. Then I wake up on some couch and a female
human is standing over me, looking me over.
Acting on instinct, over what had happened to my family earlier, I
grabbed my bo and jumped at her. My aim
was sufficient and I knocked her to the ground, my bo pressed at her
throat. She begins to gasp for air; I’m
killing her. A strange taste of revenge
stings my throat and leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Just a
bit more……..HEEEYYY!!! Suddenly I’m ripped off of this female human. Snapping my head around I come face to face
with Donatello, three other faces are behind him. One looks female, like me.
My bo is wrenched out of my hands, but not by any of the faces I am
looking at. Donatello looks up and
behind me. Once again I act upon my
instinct and spin around snatching onto my weapon. The hold that greets me is strong, even stronger than Donatello’s. This one has an angry spirit, and I know I
will lose if I was to fight against it.
Releasing my grip, I look up to the face of the one who holds my weapon. The dark green eyes make me jump. So much
hatred lies behind them, and an evil snarl to match is planted upon his lips.
“That wasn’t
nice there sister,” he says in a sultry tone, as if to burn me with his words.
“Raph, chill!
She’s been through a lot, ok!” Don’s voice comes to my defense. Grateful for his assistance, I turn to face
him as he begins to speak again, but this time to me, “Teshi, April is a friend. You do not need to fear her. She won’t hurt
you, in fact she is like our big sister.”
Blinking in disbelief at his statement, I look to the others behind
him. The female gives me a small smile
and nods. The one in the orange mask,
has a nervous grin upon his face, his eyes are shining though. I can’t help but
smile at him. Lastly, I look to the one
that has on a blue mask. His lips are
drawn tight as he looks down to me. He
is angry with me, or so I think. I feel
my cheeks begin to burn with embarrassment and shame.
“I’m sorry.”
My words are so soft, I would be surprised if anyone heard me at all. They did though.
“It’s ok,”
the female says, her words are true.
She has no need to lie.
Carefully I look to the human female, whom I attacked. Her eyes seem to have been fixed upon me
this whole time. They are unsure and
afraid. Biting my lip, I feel my old
fear and anger begin to resurface. ‘You
do not need to fear her.’ Don’s words echo through my mind. Slowly I rise to my feet, my left hand still
holding to one of Donni’s. He lets go;
telling me what I’m doing is the right thing. The angry turtle who still holds
my bo tightly in his clutches, is watching my every move closely, which makes
me uneasy. I can’t say anything though;
I did attack her. Finally I make it to
where she is standing. My throat is
tight and my hands commence to shake. Swallowing hard, I force out my voice,
“Look, I’m
sorry for assaulting you. It’s just that
I have been through so much in the past few hours,” I pause, unsure if I should
let her know my family was killed by humans or not. Stealing a glance to Donatello, I see him stand, but that is
all. An uneasy hand is placed upon my
shoulder, and I feel my body tense. The
human has placed her hand upon me. I
look back to her. She’s not afraid,
then again she already lives with 5 turtles so why would she be.
“It’s
ok. I understand,” her words are kind and
sympathetic. My shoulders sag as my
body relaxes. A sigh of relief escapes
me, and is replaced with a timid grin.
She hugs my shoulders, her hair tickling them. Her next sentence comes as a shock to me, “Welcome to the family.”
“……..from an
old renaissance art book I gave them all names,” the old rat, whom is named
Splinter, pauses from his story. The
turtle in the blue mask takes his cue,
“I’m
Leonardo,” he says and bows his head to me a little, as a sign of respect. I
bow back.
“I’m Michaelangelo,”
the one in the orange mask says goofily, and I can’t help but grin at his
playfulness.
“You already
know me,” Donni smiles, and I smile back to him. The angry one in the red mask
has yet to give me his name, but it doesn’t look like I’m going to receive it. Michaelangelo notices this, and quickly
jumps in,
“And that
hot-head over there is Raphael.” I press my lips together to suppress the
chuckle inside of me. Mike gives me a playful grin as Raph growls at him, avoiding
my gaze at all cost. My
lightheartedness quickly fades however, as does Mikey’s, and I look to the
angry turtle, wanting to say something, anything to him to get us on good
terms. No words come however. All is quiet for a moment, then the female
turtle begins to speak,
“My name is
Venus De Milo, but I go by just Venus………”
It has been a
long day, and I am ready to go to bed.
Yawning, I stretch my arms above my head, and my back erupts into a
serious of pops. While my arms are in
the air, a different set of arms wrap around my waist. Startled, I turn around in the embrace and a
kind face greets me. It’s Michaelangelo.
“Hello,” I
say as I give him a grin.
“Hey,” he
replies back, releasing his arms from around my waist. “So, where are you going to sleep?” he asks,
as he rubs his neck nervously. Aww, isn’t that sweet; he has a crush on me! I give him a small shrug.
“I don’t
know. I guess I could take the couch.”
“You don’t
have to do that,” Donatello’s voice says from behind me. A big smile plants itself upon my lips, as I
turn to face him.
“Well, then
where do you suppose I sleep?” I ask him playfully, my hand on my hip to accentuate
my words. He smiles at me and replies,
“I’ll take
the couch, and you can sleep in my bed.”
“Are you
sure?” Mike steals the words right from my mouth. “Cause she could sleep with
me, and you could keep your own bed.” I
see Donnie grow red with jealousy, so I quickly jump in, even though I think it’s
funny how they are fighting over me.
“No, it’s ok.
I’ll just sleep on the couch. I don’t mind really. Donni, you can keep your own bed and so can you Mike,” I spin
around to face him. A pout is clearly
seen on his lips, and I have to bite my tongue to stifle the giggle inside me.
“Ok,” Mike
finally gives up and sulks off to his room, “Good night.”
“G’night Mike.”
“Goodnight
Michaelangelo,” I say watching him walk off.
After he is gone, I turn to Donatello, “So, where are the blankets and
pillows?”
Michaelangelo
sat pouting in his room.
“Stupid!
Stupid! Stupid!!!” he cursed himself, “She likes Donnie! Not you!” Throwing himself
on his bed, he covered his head with his pillow; just wishing he could
disappear. Leo has Venus, and now Don has Teshi.
When am I going to get someone? He sniffled into his mattress and
pulled the pillow tighter around his head.
The feeling of being alone for the rest of his life, was one he didn’t
like.
“Leo, are you
ok?” Venus asked softly, touching her mate on the arm. Her normal voice had
come back hours ago.
“Huh?” he
blinked, then looked down to his love. “Oh, sorry. Just thinking.” He walked to
the window and peered out into the star filled sky. A shooting star shot past, and he made a silent wish, unbeknownst
Venus had done the same thing.
“Leo, you’re
keeping something from me. What is it?”
He didn’t like hearing the hurt and concern in her voice, so he turned
to look her in the face. Taking her
hands in his, he pulled her close for a hug, and kissed the top of her head. She sighed into his plastron, then he began
to speak,
“I’m sorry if
I have been distant lately. I am just
very worried about Master Splinter. He
says he is doing fine, but I know that is not true. I know the reason he is telling me that, is so that I won’t worry
so much about him.”
“Maybe he’s
correct in his doing. He probably wants
you to pay more attention to your brothers, and keep the bond you have strong,
then to see him in his weakening state.”
Leo looked down to his love, and gave her a small nod.
“You are
probably right.”
Donatello
fixed up the couch for Teshi, while she took a shower. He pondered all that had gone on that day. What
was this feeling he had acquired, that weighed so heavy in the depths of his
stomach and burned in his soul? Shaking his head, he went back to the bed. Maybe
I should talk to Leo about this. I
mean, he is the only one who has a girlfriend at the moment. Fluffing the pillows and smoothing out the
pale yellow blanket, he decided he would talk to Leonardo tomorrow.
“I don’t
think that sheet will flatten out anymore,” Teshi said from behind him. He turned to find a silly smile on her face,
and he felt the corners of his own mouth twitch into a grin.
“I was just
making it as best as possible for you,” he stepped aside, and held his arm out
toward the couch, “Would you like to try it?”
“Why yes I
would. Thank you,” she giggled, and made her way to her makeshift bed. Sitting down, she felt it to be softer a bit
more lumpier than she first thought it to be.
It would have to suffice for now though.
“Is it ok?”
Don asked, hopeful he had made it at least somewhat comfortable for her.
“It’s fine,
thank you.” Donatello nodded,
“That’s good.
Well, I must be getting to bed. Goodnight Teshikyama.”
“Goodnight
Donatello.”
End Ch. 1
