TEXT :
[main article starts here]
[The year is 2015] and most of the Earth has been devastated
15 years earlier after the Second Impact, when a supposed
meteorite crashed into Antarctica, killing millions and causing
the icecap to melt and seas to rise. As if this wasn't bad
enough, while most inhabitants cower in subterranean cities, a
war is being waged between mysterious aliens known as the
Angels who have invaded the Earth and an equally mysterious
human organisation known as NERV, who use giant bio-mechanical
robots called Evangelions. This is the Japanese anime series
Neon Genesis Evangelion. With briliant animation that finds a
good balance between the spectacular and the subtle, Neon Genesis
is the more sophisticatedsci-fi animated series around.
