Here is everything about me you would ever want to know (trust me, you don't want to know much). :)

Background: I'm a student in Year 12, who is currently attending a high school in Parramatta, Sydney. My interests are Sega games (Saturn rox!), Online Computer games (I'm in a Teamfortress clan) and Star Wars. I also play a bit of Dungeons & Dragons if I'm feeling in a nerdy kinda mood. :)

How I got Introduced to Evangelion: One of my friends rung me up on a Sunday morning in November 1998, stating that he bought some new videos of a cartoon that he'd like to show me. I thought to myself, "A cartoon? He cant be serious!" (He is, after all, 20 years of age). I was quite suspicious of this, but I reluctantly agreed to watch them.

He came down to my house with a big black bag, and took out each video, almost in a religous way. As he was placing the first video in, (which was coloured white) I began feeling a little weird. That feeling soon vanished. The intro music started up, and I was instantly hooked. I cringed at the corny humour, which my friend told me about before hand, but other than that, I loved it.

Once the second episode had finished, the 'Flashback' sequence was firmly imprinted in my mind. Then, my friend told me the most shocking thing he has ever told me : he had to go home. I started screaming my head off, stating that I MUST see the other videos he had. (which were 8 episodes in total) Eventually I persuaded him into staying, and we watched the rest. He then told me the next most shocking thing he has ever told me: it would be TWO weeks until the next videos were released! I cried. I hurled.

How it went from there: Every 2 weeks from then on, 2 new videos would be released, and my friend and I would count down the hours until the next one was released. We even nagged the poor attendant at Phantom Zone (In Parramatta) every day until the next ones were on the shelf. This was because they got them 3 days after the release date, which was excruciatingly long for us. Before we got the next videos, we would watch all of the videos that we already had all over again.

At christmas, my friend was kind enough to give me this mega poster of Eva. It is really the biggest poster I've ever seen, and it is currently hanging on my wall next to my Phantom Menace poster.

Once sbs started showing the episodes on TV, I was overjoyed.

The End of Evangelion! The Thursday night before the last video was going to be released, my friend and I gave in to our most primal urges and watched The End of Evangelion. (He had previously bought the tape some 3 weeks ago) I had an essay due in the next day , but I didn't care.

I went to his house (as he had an NTSC VCR), we ordered pizza, and sat down and experienced one of the greatest pieces of film ever created. That night, I could not go to sleep (I got the essay done, but I kept on writing stuff on Eva, which I had to delete once I found out what I was doing). I will probably never forget it.

What now?: Now my obsession with Eva has died down somewhat, but I still keep it alive with the wonderful Eva-R fanfic, and this website. I have 3 posters of Eva in my bedroom (The big one, one with all the children and Evas, and one with just Eva-01 looking hard) I have two from Hyper magazine.

I do not care much for answering the many mysteries of Eva, as I have made my mind up about all of them, and I cannot be swayed otherwise.

This website: The popularity of this website totally blew my away. I had no idea so many people (10,000 hits at the time of writing this) would have the tolerance to put up with me for so long! I had the intention of just making this a small website, but by the feedback I've gotten from so many people, it grew, and changed, and now one of the most popular in Oz. I would like to thank everyone who has given me positive feedback these past few months, and I hope to inform and entertain you as much as I have in the future.
