This going to be a "what if" fic. A thousand years ago, Shabrinigdo wasn't defeated, and he gain possesion pf the Sword of Light. Keep in mind the human race has been ruled by the Mazuko race for about a thousand years. Here is a list of charactoers, and the rather dramatic changes to their personalites.

Slayers: The resistance made up of non- Mazuko

Zelgadus Greyeres- 1/2 human, 1/2 Mazuko. (his mother was raped by a Mazuko) He was never turned into a Chimera, and because of that, he has changed dramatically. Zel is a flirt who charms all the ladies, a fact that drive Lina up the wall ::grin:: But behind his cool guy exterioer he is really a sensitive person who cares deeply for the Slayers, the resistance both he and Lina have built with sweat, blood, and tears.

Lina Inverse- She is not very sure of herself because she failed to save her "neechan" with her magick when she was young. Lina is very quiet but she has a temper that is slow to burn and even slower to cool. The Dragon Slave is her strongest spell, and she has no idea how to cast the Giga Slave.

Amelia Wil Tessla Seirunne- A grim, ruthless, warrior-queen of the city state Seirunne which is feared throught the world for its soldiers.

Slyphial Nel Raada- Slyphial is the raucous barmaid at the inn in the town where the Slayers is mainly camped at. She has a huge crush on Gourry, and goes out of her way to get his attention

Gourry Gabriev- Decendant of the man who lost to Shaby. He is rather shy and spends most of his time with his books. But he is an excellant swordsman, even without the Sword of Light. Still not the brightest star in the sky.

Firia Ul Copt- Firia is trully a sad story. Being one of the last, if not last Gold Dragon, she was 'given' to Valgarv as a prize. But her acid tongue keeps Val from really mistreating her. Yet despite her acid-like tongue and tough exterior, Firia trully does consider Val her friend, not just her 'master' She hates Xellos with a passion.

Rezo Akoushi- The Warrior-Priest that raised Zel after his mother died in childbrth. Rezo is a quiet man, but is grim and almost bitter at times. He is somewhat cynical, but lets face it, he's had a crappy life. He lost the woman he loved to the Mazuko who was turned into a toy. Then he lost his daughter in pretty much the same way. The mention of Mazuko sends his hand to his sword, and he tenses for battle. Rezo is followed around ceaselessly by his apprentice/assitant Eris.

The Mazuko:

Shabrinigdo aka Shaby- He possesed the body of Lei Magnus. Lei and Zellas were deeply in love, and even after he had been consumed by Shaby, Lei's affection and longing for Zellas is shown, but not in a very nice way. Because of Shaby's influence, Lei keeps Zellas at his side as he plaything, and general slave.

Zellas Metallium- She loved Lei Magnus and when he was taken over by Shabby, she kind of went a little insane. Of course being used as a slave by your formr lover doesn't help much! Zellas I trully pity. She has withdrawn into herself so much I am not sure if she can even comprehend the world outside of her "shell"

Xellos Metallium- He has become completely cruel, bloodthirsty, and an all around real nasty guy. He leads all the Mazuko as their genral and has been awarded the Sword of Light for his bravery. Xellos takes cruelty and ruthless to new levels. Sherra, Dynast's general is not so secretly in love with him, but he doesn't even pay attention to her. Xellos does have however want Lina. He wants to extinguish the flame of her spirit. He wants to break her, and that kind of blinds him to others. So becuase of this, he has set out to single handedly destroy the Slayers as he did to the Gold Dragons so many centeries ago

Valgarv- He is almost fanatically loyal to Garv, and is just as ruthless as Xellos. But he lacks Xellos' blood-lust. He doen't reveal in pain and suffering like Xellos, and because of this he hates Xellos as much as he servant/slave Firia. Despite all this inside, Val is an emotion and mental wreck. All he thinks that he can feel is hatred and therefore he tries to feel only that. However as he gets to know Firia better, he realizes that what he and the Mazuko are doing is wrong. He begins to question Garv, and that leads to his downfall.

Chaos Dragon Garv- Garv is the leader of the aerial warriors in the Mazuko army. Garv is a Mazuko but he has honor and is constantly teased by the other Dark Lords. Because of this, he is somewhat of a loner, and a rebel. He trully cares for Val who is like an adopted son to him.
