Xellos looked at Zelgadis and smiled slightly.
"I have to go and get Zellas-sama's permission, but I
am sure she won't mind." Xellos murmured as he stood
up. Zelgadis followed suit, and hugged his lover one
last time, and kissed him.
"Good luck." Xellos nodded, but Zel grabbed him
suddenly. "Um, could you give me back my clothes now?"
Zel asked somewhat peeved.
"But Zel-chan, nude is definately your style."
"Xellos!" Zelgadis growled. Xellos wrinkled his nose
at Zel and conjured up his clothes for him.
"Spoilsport." Xellos muttered.
"Yeah well I would like to be properly clothed just
incase Zellas-san decides to inspect the new Mazuko."
Xellos winked at him.
"Relax Zel-kun, you're not her type!" and with that
the Trickster Priest dissapeared.
"Why do I even bother?" Zel muttered as he walked back
to the room he had dubbed Xellos' bedroom.
Xellos bowed at his master as he apeared before her.
"Master, you are aware of the relationship between
Zelgadis Greyweres and I?" Zellas Metallium took a
drag of her cigerette
"Yes Xellos, and I approve of your request. To have
such a strong sorcerer in our ranks is trully a good
thing." Zellas smiled at her priest/general. "You do of
course realize you will have to give up one of your
titles right?" Xellos nodded.
"Zel-kun..... I mean Zelgadis is a great warrior, may
I sugest him as you General?" Zellas covered her smile
admirably as Xellos' slip of the tongue.
"I was just going to sugest that. Well go on." Zellas
shooed herTrickster out of her audience chamber. After
she was sure that he had gone, she broke into peals of
silvery laughter.
Zelgadis wandered back and forth in the room. Where
was he? Zelgadis reached one wall and spun back around
and started to walk back to the next wall. (Can't ya
just see Zel pacing?) Zel had completely this circet
twice before Xellos returned. Xellos suddenly popped
right in front of him hanging upside down.
"Did ya miss me?" Xellos asked as he continued to
float upside down. Zel's eyes narrowed and he grabbed
Xellos and dragged him down to his face. In all the
years he had been alive, Xellos had never had anyone
kiss him from upside down. He was so shocked, he lost
his concentration, and fell. Luckly, Zel caught him
and they fell to the ground lying on top of each other.
"I'll take that as a yes?" Xellos grinned. Zelgadis
punched him lightly.
"Smartass." he growled as he brushed the back of his
hand against Xellos' cheek tenderly belieing his
words. Zel suddenly turned serious, "So what do I do?"
Xellos frowned, and a line appeared between his brows.
"That's the problem, the only way you can be killed
cleanly, is to be killed by a sword through the heart
or such...."
"And I can only be harmed by the Sword of Light." Zel
picked up on Xellos' train of throught.
"Gourry is dumb, but I doubt he is going to hand over
the Sword to us. Nor is he going to kill you in cold
blood, his honor wouldn't allow that."
"Hmmmm, so what are we going to do?"
"We could go to him and explain our 'situation'....."
"Um no." Zelgadis sat down against the wall and Xellos
sat down next to him.
"I don't know Zel-kun." Xellos gathered the smaller man
in his arms, and they just sat there thinknig. "Wait
why don't we steal it?"
"I don't think that is right." Zel scowled. "As much
as I don't like it, I think we are just going to have
to tell them." Xellos nodded and his eyes glinted
mischievously, and he stradled Zel.
"Now where were we?" he asked as he braced his arms on
either side of Zelgadis' head.
"You're incouragable!" Zel laughed as he
lowered his lips to Xellos'.
Zel had just pushed Xellos' shirt off of one shoulder
so he could kiss the hollow of the Trickster's neck
when Xellos stiffened.
"I think we should get back." Xellos murmured and he
teleported both Zelgadis and himslef back to Zel's
room in the inn.
Back at the Inn:
Amelia knocked on Zelgadis' door.
"Zelgadis-san?" Amelia called, but she got no answer.
She continued to knock on the door, but no one
answered. "Zelgadis-san!" Amelia begain to become
worried when she heard Zel snarl at someone.
"What the hell are you doing Xellos?" Amelia blue eyes
bugged out and she turned the door nob of the door,
surprised to find it unlocked. Amelia poundered
whether or not she should barge in, for about a
second. Amelia burst into the door and saw Zelgadis
kneeling on his bed without his shirt off, in Xellos'
embrace! Amelia gasped and her hand flew to her mouth
in horror. Zel looked up, his eyes cloudy with
passion. Amelia stared at him, and tears spilled down
her cheeks.
"I'm..... I.... gomen!' Amelia whirled around and ran
out of the room. Zelgadis turned and glared at his
lover.
"You didn't?" he asked with a sinking feeling.
"Well she was competition." Xellos stated bluntly.
"That gave you no right to break a innocent girls
heart!" Zel growled. "Besides, she was never
competition for you!" Zelgadis stood up and turned
back to Xellos. "Don't move!" he growled as he left
his room. From the hallway, Lina, who had seen and
heard everything, stood there numbly. Zelgadis stormed
past her and went to Amelia's room. He knocked on the
door, and when it didn't open, he muttered a spell,
and the dorr swung open. Lina scowled and stord into
Zel's room. There Xellos was just re-fastening his
cloak.
"So it's true." Lina stated, and Xellos nodded. She
grinned suddenly. "'bout time." Xellos' jaw hit the
ground. "But did you have to treat Amelia like that?"
"No." Xellos murmured as he regained his composure.
"Sorry Lina-chan. I suppose I should go apologize to
the princess." Before Lina could comment, Xellos
teleported to Amelia's room, and stood behind
Zelgadis.
"Amelia, I love Xellos, I think I always have. Please
try to understand. Xellos placed his hands on Zel's
shoulders and the Chimrea looked up at his lover and
then glanced over at Amelia who stood staring out the
window.
"Amelia-san, I apologize for my actions." Xellos
murmured, and Amelia turned and looekd at the two men.
Although her eyes were somewhat red, her cheeks where
dry.
"I understand Zelgadis-san, Xellos-san. I don't think
I ever had a chance. I just kept deluding myself." Zel
frowned, he didn't like how Amelia train of thought seemed to be
headed.
"Look Amelia, you are like a little sister to me, and
I know that eventully, some dashingly handsome prince
will come along and sweep you off of your feet."
Xellos stared at his lover, he had never heard
Zelgadis talk like this. Obviously Amelia never had
either, for she was staring at him as if he had suddenly sprouted wings. Amelia smiled.
"Thank you Zelgadis-san" Amelia murmured at the two.
"I need to do some things, I'll be downstairs for
breakfeast soon." Xellos nodded and lead Zelgadis out
of the room and shut the door behind him.
"She needs time Zel-chan." Xellos whispered.
"WHAT!" Firia screamed from downstairs. "Zelgadis and
that Namagomi Mazuko?" Zel looked at Xellos and the
two made their way down the stairs. Xellos smirked
the red faced Firia.
"Have a problem Lizard Lips?" Firia snalred and
pulled her mace out ready to bean Xellos over the head
when Zel grabbed her wrist.
"As interesting as this may be, whe had things to talk
about."
"But Zel(gadis)!" Xellos and Firia said together.
"No, Firia please put your mace away, and Xellos stop
baiting her."
"Spoilsport." Firia and Xellod muttered together once
more.
"Well now, we need your help." Zel begain. Everyone gave
him their undivided attention, everyone but Lina who
was busy stuffing her face. Zel turned to Gourry. "I
need toborrow the Sword of Light so Xellos can kill me
and resurrect me as a Mazuko." Gourry
facefaulted while Lina spit out her food in shock.
Firia muttered something and fell the the ground
weakly. Xellos zoomed over to her side wtih a dark
smile on his face. Just then, all Hell broke lose.....
