Firia was the first to react. She screamed in rage and
stromed past Zel and Xellos and left the inn. The
moment she was clear of the inn, she transfomred into
her dragon form and flew off.
"What's her problem?" Gourry asked as clueless as
ever. Lina growled and hit him upside the head.
"Gourry you jellyfish brains Zel wants to borrow
your sword and kill himself so that he can be
resurrected as a Mazuko!"
"So?" Gourry asked.
"He will become like Xellos! A monster that feeds off
of our emotions."
"Thanks" Xellos muttered grining his Trickster's
smile.
"You're welcome Namagomi!" Lina snarled.
"Lina if that is what Zel wants them let him live his
own life." Gourry held out his sword.
"Thank you Gourry." Zel murmured as he accepted the
Sword of Light.
"Goodbye Zel." Lina murmured.
"Lina I am just going to change into another form.,
like a butterfly."
"No Zel, you will become like Xellos. You will cease
being Zelgadis Greyweres, and you will become Zelgadis
Metalium."
"Lina, I want this." Zel murmued as he sqrueezed
Xellos' hand." Lina smiedl brightly at him.
'Then I am happy for you Zel." Lina murmured. "Well go
do what you have to." Zel and Xellos left the inn and
found a secluded clearing about a quarter a mile away
for Zel's 'murder.' Zel smiled and caresses Xellos'
cheek with his hand, as he handed Xellos the Sword of
Light. Xellos kissed him and smiled at him with warmth
and love shining in his eyes.
"Light come forth!" Xellso shouted as held the sword
before him. The burning column of white fire flared
into life
Amelia looked out of her window depressed when a
sudden flare of light brought her eyes to the clearing
where Xellos stood over a kneeling Zel with the Sword
of Light poised to stirke!
"You bastard!" Amelia screamed as she blasted the
window in her haste to reach the traitorous Mazuko.
Amelia flew over to the clearing and held her hands
out in front of her body. "Ra-Tilt!" she screamed and
in her anger, she was able to cast the spell.
Xellos turned around when he heard Amelia scream. He
caught the devistating blast head-on and he
screamed in agony as the Ra-Tilt ripped his Astral
spirit from his body. There was no pleasure in this
pain, this was just a searing agony. Xellos fell to
his knees and the Sword of Light fell from his
nerveless fingers.
"No!" Zel cried as he grabbed Xellos and cradled his
broken body in his arms. "Xellos don't you leave me."
Xellos smiled and blood trickled down his chin.
"I... truly did.... love you." he murmured and then he
died.
"Noooooo! Zelgadis cried.
"NO!" Zel screamed as he sat up in his bed. He looked around him in confusion. Was it all a dream? It couldn't be. He could still feel Xellos arms wrapped around him. He could still taste his lip, feel his sweet breath against his cheek. It couldn't have been a dream, it was too real. But it was. Zel lay back down as a feeling of utter hoeplessness settled around his heart. He had never felt so alone, never. Zelgadis closed his eyes and tried to go back to sleep but visions of Xellos' broken and bleeding body lying in his arms filled his mind. He didn't feel the wetness of his tears no his cheeks, notr hear the soft gasping sobs catching in his throat.
From the shadows, Xellos pulled the rest of his
clothes on as he watched the devistated Chimrea cry
himself to sleep. Xellos walked over to Zel with a sad
and grim face.
"Some dreams are more real then you think Zel-chan."
Xellos murmured as he kissed Zel lingering. Then he
closed his eyes and dissapeared, but after he left,
his last comment echoed through the room.
"Aishiteru."
