Zelgadis felt as if his heart was being ripped from his chest.

Now it's too late to hold you

 Why didn't I tell her how I felt. Zel silently berated himself. But he had hessitated, and now he had lost her. She had sought companionship with the swordsman, and now he was alone.

'Cause you've flown away.
So far away.

Was there anything left for him to live for? Zel hung his head and left the room. He walked up the starirs to his room.

Amelia watched as Zel walked past her on the stairs.
"Zel, are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Zel said with no emotion in his voice as he continue up the stairs.

Feeling and knowing you hear me

I have no reason to live. I have searched for the Cure for so long, yet I haven't found it. Zel opened his door and slammed the door shut behind.

Zel blinked as he sensed that he wasn't alone.
"Zel-kun?" Zelgadis stiffened. "Zel-kun, I've come to offer you some comfort. Xellos stepped forward. "Have I ever told you how handsome you are?"

Zel felt his reign on his temper break.
"How dare you?" Zel spat. "How can you do something like this?" Xellos looked hurt.
"But Zel-kun, I meant it." Xellos stepped forward And held out his hand.

Xellos laid his hands on Zel's trembling shoulders, and the Chimera stiffened.
"I love you Zel-kun." Xellos leaned forward and kissed Zel's unresponsive lips

 Xellos felt Zel tremble.
"What's the matter Zel-kun, don't you like this?" Xellos wrapped his arms around Zel's waist. Xellos ran his hands over Zel's shoulders.
"Xell.... Xellos." Zel groaned.

Although the sun will shine the same
I'll always look to a brighter day.

Xellos suddenly wavered and Lina stood there.
"Zel, I love you, please kiss me." Lina begged. Lina? No it's Xellos, isn't it? Zelgadis felt his control slipping. But I love Lina, and she's here now. Zel crushed his lips down on Lina/Xellos' lips.

Lord knows when I lay down and sleep

Later:

Xellos stared down at the sleeping Zelgadis and smiled.
"I wasn't kidding Zel-kun, I do love you.... in my own way." Xellos leaned down; kissed Zel sweetly and left.

Zelgadis opened and his eyes and remebered what happened last night.
Oh Gods, what have I done? Zel felt as if he was going to be sick, and he finnaly lost the battle with his stomauch and threw up. Zel forced himself to get dressed and go downstrairs

Xellos was the first person Zel saw when he came down stairs.
"Xellos!" Zel growled.
"I was only doing that to help you feel better Zel-kun." Zelgadis pushed Xellos out of the way and continued on his way. Xellos watched him go with an odd look on his face.
