Koriya sighed. Locked in her room doing homework was the last place she wanted to be... well, not exactly locked. It was Japanese tradition not to put locks on your inside doors. But the door was shut. A good indication to her friends to NOT bother her.
Chemistry... boy how she hated chemistry. The teacher wasn't worth... well, maybe he WAS worth a bullet. A well placed one, but perhaps in the beginning of a long line of the bakas she had in that class. Koriya sighed again. This wasn't helping her with the chemical equations she had to get done BEFORE 5:30. Then she had to be back at school for a choir concert. At least Nekkyo and Keeosu would be there. Not like either of them was really looking forward to it either. All 3 of them felt stressed out, as did half of the choir.
*THUMP-THUMP* Ko looked up, rubbing her eyes. "Dare ga...?" Her door was knocked down as a huge box hopped in. A giant sweat drop rolled down her forehead as Koriya tried to turn back to her Chemistry. "Tenkou... get outta here."
A booming voice echoed from the box, for it wasn't just any box. It was the box that held the god Tenkou, who lived with the Japanese Mafia from time to time. "Silly mortal! You will go fix me some cookies!"
Sighing, Koriya didn't even turn around. "Go ask Tsuyoi-chan, she's the cook around here! I gotta do my work." Her statement was half whining, her work so boring she was about to cry.
The silence meant that Tenkou was thinking. A small "harumph" was heard from inside the box, it shaking a little.
"Tenkou... dooozooo?" Koriya whined a little. She didn't hear anything for a little while, and when she turned around next, the box was gone. "Finally," she muttered, turning back to concentrate on her work again. It was only five minutes until her next interruption. The footsteps behind her sounded too much like a hopping box...
"TENKOU!" she yelled, turning around and throwing the paperback she was supposed to read for English.
"Ko, calm down, it's me!" cried Taiko, easily catching the book she'd thrown. Koriya turned bright red, knowing she had just attacked her boyfriend.
"Gomen..." she muttered, scrambling to stand to give him a hug.
"It's okay..." he said, kissing her softly on the top of her head. "It's a good thing I didn't bring in the food I was about to offer to get you." Koriya laughed softly, muffled because of her face buried in his shoulder. His touch, his hold, was a long needed release from the stress she'd built up from school.
"Ooo... food. It does sound good..." She'd managed to ignore her grumbling stomach for a while, but now that it knew nourishment was near it wouldn't let up.
"Sit here, do an equation, and I'll go get you the fried rice Tsuyoi-san cooked..." Taiko said, smiling. Koriya did as she was told, kneeling back at her small table and working out the problem quickly. She actually did two, feeling much better. When Taiko re-entered the room, she moved the books and paper, letting him put down the rice, chopsticks, and a glass of tea.
"Sempai, you're too good to me..." she murmured, picking up the chopsticks. He kissed her once before she started eating.
"It's nothing you don't deserve," was his reply. He watched her eat, smiling at her voracity, simply enjoying her. Within a couple moments, the food was gone, Koriya taking a small sip of her hot tea. She half-crawled to where Taiko was sitting, curling up as he put his arms around her. She closed her eyes, wanting nothing more than to stay there, forever. After a moment, Taiko said quietly, "Shouldn't you be doing your work?"
"Don't wanna..." she said, sounding like a little kid. He laughed softly, holding her tight. " I wanna stay here..."
"Ko-chan..." he said softly, not quite used to the suffix of -chan... or any of them for that matter.
Koriya smiled up at him. "Taiko-sempai..." she said, leaning up to kiss him. It was a kiss of love, not one of passion, or lust... a simple one. "Suki da yo..." she murmured, her lips inches away from his.
"Suki da yo..." he replied. "I love you." Koriya closed her eyes, savoring the words. They would only last a moment, as Nekkyo soon knocked on her door.
"OI! KO! SEKKUSU ONI!" she yelled. The romantic mood was quickly ruined. Nekkyo knew Taiko was in there too... Koriya stood and walked to the door, opening it.
"Nekkyo... nani ga desu ka?" Koriya asked.
"Get dressed, we gotta leave in 10 minutes," Nekkyo replied. "Hey Taiko-san," she said, waving to Taiko. He simply waved back. "Leave Ko-chan alone, she's gotta get ready for choir..."
"Nekkyo-san... I'm not bothering her!" cried Taiko. But he stood anyway, giving Koriya a quick kiss. "Good luck, Koriya-chan."
"Ja, Taiko-sempai," she said, going to grab the black choir dress from her closet. She dressed as fast as she could, taking a moment to sit down again at her small table. The couple moments that had passed were gone, but all she needed to calm herself down. Koriya emerged another moment later, matching black bow pulling a few strands of blonde hair out of her face. Taiko stood there, outside of her room.
"You look beautiful," he murmured, taking her into his arms. She hugged him tight, sighing deeply.
"Domo arigatou," she whispered in his ear. Pulling back, Koriya placed a light kiss on his lips. "I'll see you when I get home." As hard as it was for her, Koriya managed to pull away from him, and walked to the front, where Nekkyo and Keeosu were waiting. A last look was all she could steal, but it was one she wouldn't forget. There stood Taiko, eyes trailing after her, sparkling with love.
