Shonen Knife formed in Osaka in December 1981. In March of 82,
they debuted at Osaka Studio One. In August they released their first tape
"Minna tanoshiku Shonen Knife." In September, 83, they released their first
LP on Zero Records, "Burning Farm", and then May 84, "Yama no Attchan."
December 1983 they contributed three songs to the "Aura Music" compilation
on Zero and Kagerou Records. They perform live about twice a month in the
Kansai area. They'll be playing in America at the end of the year (1984).
And are contributing to the Seattle-based "Nabu Poppu" [Naive Pop? Typo
for Sub Pop?] series, four songs on a cassette and two planned on an EP. |
