Yoshiyasu is a WildHalf who insists that he is human with just the special ability to change into a dog. This insistency annoyed Salsa, who, together with Ginsei, had once tried to convinced him that he was actually a WildHalf, but had already given up. Yoshiyasu stays in his human form most of the time unless he has problems changing.

He has his reasons to unable to accept the fact that he was not actually human. You see, he was raised up as a human child by two old couple whose only son died risking his life to rescue young, abandoned Yoshiyasu from drowning. They even gave him their surname Tanaka.  In gratitude, he set his heart to inherit the couple's clinic just as their son was supposed to have. And inherit a clinic, you got to be human.

Well, hehehe... Yoshiyasu... and there's this girl, Mayuki Yamanaka... who he has 'strange' warm feelings for -- a feeling different from what he feels from his 'parents'.

Anyway, Yoshiyasu turns out to be a tense boy because of his situation. He's always finding strange ways to try proving that he was human with his strong sense morality which he had learned from books. And by doing so he sometimes got people into trouble and got Salsa mad most of the time.
Taketo could help to fell frustrated too, because he seems to be the best subject to test out what Yoshiyasu had learned, and was considered as his best friend.
