A WildHalf fanfic by Yucca, based on characters and story of Yuko Asami, used without permission. Comments & Criticisms needed! Funny huh? I wrote this part only after I've written Part 1. Guess I just want to put some tension in the beginning. Well, hope you like it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Inescapable Fate ================== Prologue ========= Disgusting dog! I sneered in nausea, staring out from those silver eyes of a dog, which I had no control of. They were not even mine. I was trapped, in a body, which I could not command, not even the slightest. -He- had the full control. Having fun with your master, eh? Well, darn you! Stop licking his fingers so lovingly! And don't you dare pat him, you stupid so-called master! Aghh! I hate you both! I winced in disgust again. That stupid dog, my uncontrollable other self, was having his chance of a lifetime with his -beloved- master. Everyday they had to be together, huh? Well, I just couldn't stand it! If I had it my way, with a distance this close, I would just snapped off that man's head with my mouth. But I couldn't. I was not in control... yet. Dammit! How I hated him! Here I was, trapped, and near, -within- to be exact, but still he didn't know it. Well, that's okay, I didn't want my presence to be known anyway, he might try to stop me. This way, he would never know what hit him... or what -eat- that master of his... Mmmm... delicious. If only I could have it my way... Twenty years... I'd been waiting for twenty years and yet he had not done it. I was still trapped. Didn't that moron know that what his actions would result my awakening? ... Of course he didn't. I know we were long-living, we won't die that easily, but still, I couldn't wait. I had been waiting for so long... And waiting was always a torture. ... What was that? His master gave a soft sudden cry, gripping his thumb. And of course, he immediately rushed towards his owner. It's his natural. And I hate him for that. It made me sick! Sick! His eyes traveled towards his master's outstretched thumb, and I had to look as well. That stupid fool had just accidentally got his thumb cut by a rose torn... Stupid. I stared down at the cut. It was quite deep. Red, scarlet blood began oozing out of it. And right then, I felt surge of desperate hunger, bubbling excitingly within me, pounding to get out. The oozing blood, so red, so... delicious looking. It's too little! The cut is too small! I want to see more! I want to feel it! Taste it! And that human was so close... Grrr..... If only I could have it my way... If only I was not trapped inside... Anger boiled within me, and I felt the rage of a trapped, starving animal with a meal placed right in front of him, yet, unable to have it. I wanted more than anything to get out, to slay the bleeding man before me, and have him for dinner. I couldn't bear it much longer! The balloon of trapped fury erupted. Yet, I could still do nothing. I still couldn't move. Trapped... Still trapped. I HATE HIM!!!!!! THAT MORON! HE'S DRIVING ME MAD!!! I AM MAD!!!! AND VERY ANGRY TOO!!!!! WHY HAVEN'T HE FREED ME YET??!!! I... I saw it. The full moon mark. It was there... right at his opened chest, just above his heart. That dog was too busy trying to tend his master's wound to notice it, but I did. And at that moment, if I could possibly smile or laugh, I would have done both. But I couldn't... not now, but soon... Very soon. Instantly, my furious fury dissolved into pure joy... or maybe I should say -evil- joy. Finally, it was time. I knew it the moment I saw the mark -- the mark of -my- awakening. Soon everything would be the opposite. I would be the one looking through those eyes, and act whatever I want to. And the other self could just watch, just like what I had done for the past twenty years. Happy huh? Well, wait till I take over. I'll take care of that. I promised. Having his wound plastered, his master leaned over in a half hugging position and rubbed his belly playfully. The man was so close... and his steady heartbeat was heard so clearly. It made me wonder, what would it sound like when I tore it out from his chest... How would it taste like... Yes... have fun while you still could, stupid fools. Now all I needed was to wait for the night of full moon... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Aghh! I tried and tried but I just can't write this prologue in a third person view. So I'll just have to do it using 'I', 'I' and 'I'. It maybe confusing when you read (or already read) part one because I'm using the first person form of writing too. Just trying to say don't get confuse the 'I' in this prologue and part one. They are of different person. Yucca WildHalf Homepage: http://www.geocities.com/wildhalf_99/ Come on, any C&C for me?
