In school, Taketo wondered about the extra table that had been in their class. His friend told him that the seat belonged to someone named Miya Kitahara, but she had never came to school before. Just then a girl with a big bust (well, that's what the boys exclaimed when they saw her) walked into the classroom and sat on the empty seat. The boys hurried over to the beautiful girl and asked if she was Miya Kitahara and why she had not come to school.

'Miya' then suddenly leaned close to Taketo and asked him to take something out from her hair (which made Taketo puffed smoke out of his nose too!) She then stated that Taketo had a dog. Seeing Taketo's surprise, she said that if someone touched her hair, she could tell what that person is usually with. At that, Taketo confirmed that the girl was indeed strange. He then asked if she like dogs. 'Miya' shook her head saying that dogs only knows how to bark, chase after people and bite. She hated dogs

"Throw away that dog, it's better to have a cat," the girl used mesmerism again. Taketo refused stating that Salsa was an important dog to him. 'Miya' finally found a prey unaffected by her mesmerism. It seemed like she wants to chase after Taketo and tear him apart so she could return to normal ...?

After school, she went after Taketo only to find him with Salsa. Using ice cream as a bait she managed to lure Salsa away. Then 'Miya' and Taketo somehow ended up in a high place. She asked why Taketo like dogs. Taketo said that unlike cats, dogs are loyal (though Salsa was not totally loyal). 'Miya' seemed angry about his statement. She said that cats are loyal too, only that they don't show it openly. She then started talking about how cat has an ability called mesmerism. A glare from the cat could cause the prey unmovable but a cat cannot to satisfied by such an easy victory. Hunting is the cat's nature.

Taketo started to say that he should go home and turned. He was then struck by a rip blow on his back tearing part of his shirt away. Apparently, 'Miya' not wanting him to go had turned vicious and wanted to kill him so that she could find her true nature and turn back into a cat. At an attack, they both started to fall over the railing, plugging down from quite a high place. Just then Taketo was caught by Salsa who had changed into human form (and finished his ice cream). 'Miya' however continue her fall. Salsa told Taketo not to worry. And they both saw her turned her body and land on all fours unhurt.

Salsa said that when he first saw the girl's eyes, he had felt she was not human, that was probably why he couldn't smell her heart's scent. She was the first wildhalf he had seen other than himself. And she was a cat WildHalf!

'Miya' leapt upwards to continue her attack. Salsa rushed to attack her to stop her from killing Taketo. That moment Taketo recalling 'Miya' saying that cat's are loyal too, yelled out to Salsa to stop him from hurting her and that she must have her reasons. Salsa withdrew his attack but not before mildly knocking 'Miya' to the ground. Something fell off from her neck to the ground. It was a bell on a collar. 'Miya' started crying calling them to return the bell that was given to her by her owner. She didn't know that there was someone who could also changed like her moreover a dog!

Later, the girl brought them to see her owner who was blind and was searching everywhere for her. She then told them that this girl was the real Miya Kitahara while she was Mirei, her cat. The real Miya lost her eye sight just when school was about to start and Mirei was worried about her wanting to help in some way. Then one day, she suddenly turned into human form and couldn't go near Miya whenever she called out to her. Mirei seemed to has lived her life not knowing that she was a wildhalf and her concern for her master had awaken her. She then assumed that she might change back if she find her true nature of hunting, choosing Taketo since he was unaffected by her mermerism.
