Faithful Reader,
As many people know, I am an addict of the anime "Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play." As many obsessed people do, I try to relate my addiction to absolutely everything in my life. One day, as I sat in astronomy class, we were discussing some of the constellations in the heavens. I remember thinking "Pleiades, shmeiades. None of these constellations are as cool as the ones in the Universe of the Four gods [where the anime takes place]." It was then that lightning hit. I would look at our existing stars, and attempt to make the constellations from the anime out of them! I looked at star charts, and was about to begin when I made a shocking discovery. These stars were REAL! Not only that, but they were in constellations I had heard of before! It was then that I realized my true calling. I would do my Astronomy special project-- Fushigi Yuugi style!
Through my faithful research, I have completed a report on these ancient constellations, used by the Chinese, Japanese, and Indians (from India, not Aboriginal Americans.) I have also shown how they relate to the anime, and some of the resemblances are uncanny. I have also copied a few star charts off the net to show where the constellations are, and how one can find them. I hope you enjoy reading this report as much as I did writing it, and hope this paper will convince you of how incredibly accurate and entertaining anime is-- THIS IS NO SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON. Anyone who says so, dies. Alrighty then, lets get moving!
