HIGHSCHOOL KIMEN GUMI, THE GANG OF THE FUNNY FACES:
This is the story of five students who make up a crazy and unique
group (the gang of the funny faces) and, in an incredible twist
of luck, they befriend the cutest girl in school. Of course, they
will enter into competition with many groups in their school, where
teachers are tricky and sometimes clueless, where you can still
defy the laws of nature to win sports tournaments and where you
can still be childish even though you’re 18. Anything could
happen in this high school. |

The
story begins with the arrival of a a new student to the school.
Her name is KAWAII YUI ("what a cutie" in Japanese) and
she causes a massive revolution amongst the students because her
face is like her name (yes, cute like Hikaru in K.O.R). Suddenly,
five noisy students arrive (late) to class, calling themselves the
KIMEN GUMI (the gang of the funny faces) and they make tmake their
presentation to the class in the "sentai" mode. Impressed
by their presentation and by their mission (We’d rather
not become the gears of society, but the sprinkles you add on for
flavor.), Yui decides to join them. |

She and her best friend, URU CHIE (her name sounds like "don’t
bother") find themselves involved in hilarious and strange
adventures. Chie is obsessed with catching a handsome guy at any
cost and doesn't really understand her friends facination with the
Kimen Gumi nor with it's leader Ichido Rei.: |

ISHIDO REI is the leader
and the strangest of all the Kimen Gumi; he has the power to become
SD at will, can read other’s thoughts and is always coming
up with plans that don’t work. Let's meet the rest of the

REIETSU
GO (say it quick and it sounds like "let's go") is second
in command and he organizes everything when it comes to torturing
Rei. Recognizable by his huge eyebrows, he is a great fan of wrestling
and drinking. He is a typical macho drunk. |

DAIMA JIN always has a smile on his lips. He has
a funny voice and great face. He is one of the most funny guys in
the gang but he is totally lazy and greedy. |
|

SHUSSE KIYOSHI is half Japanese and half Chinese.
He is the group expert at disguise and staging "demonstrations."
He is a letch. |

MONOHOSHI
DAI; with his long hair, big lips, and soft voice he could be a
"deformed bishoonen" but his identity is still a mistery.
