Guardia Di Lombardi

Here is a picture of one of the many narrow cobblestone paths in the town of Guardia Di Lombardi.  Here resides the Comperchio family, relatives on my father's side.  Guardia Di Lombardi is a small town with a charming feel located up in the mountains, about an hour to the east of Napoli. 

Here is an overlooking picture of Guardia Di Lombardi.  There was a major earthquake that hit the region in 1983, which killed scores of people and left much of the area in ruin.  The center of the community, the church, has remained under construction since (note the tall structure in the middle of the picture).  Despite the difficult circumstances, the community has managed to remain lively.

Here is a look at the view from Guardia Di Lombardi.  The surrounding area is primarily a farming community, which makes for wonderful spanning green fields.
