Utaban 4.22.04, Shindoi 4.21.2004 and Matthew's BHTV 4.21.2004
Utaban 4.22.04 Guests: Airi Hiramatsu, Tackey & Tsubasa, Rag Fair
The first guest is a singer from some years ago, Airi Hiramatsu. I wasn't really paying all that much attention. she talked about the troubles she faced while trying to be a star and a wife and mother. She performed her classic song "Heya to Y-Shirt to Watashi". I'm afraid to say I wasn't very impressed.
The next guest is everyone favorite [most likely gay] Johnny's duo, Tackey and Tsubasa. They challenge each other at various games like dizzy buried-flag finding [you have to see it to understand], American Gladiators style beating-with-padded-stick-while-standing-on-pedastal and then get Nakai and Taka-san to join them for air hockey. I won't say who wins, but it was entertaining enough. Their song and dance, however, I didn't care for at all. They performed "Pride The End" and "Yume Monogatari".
The last guest is Rag Fair, the [mostly] acapella group. They facilitate a game where they perform the melodies from various songs and Nakai and Taka-san have to guess the title. It was a funny game to watch, with a special guest at the end. They perform their song "Old Fashioned Love Song". I am not a fan, but it was way better than Pocky and Tsubasa.
Domoto Tsuyoshi no Shoujiki Shindoi 4.21.2004 Guest: Naomi Zaizen
Again, I was not familiar with the guest but the episode was interesting. Naomi Zaizen is likely an actress who has been around awhile. She and Domoto's date has a hot spring theme. They ride a train to a hot spring, play miniature golf, take a bath [you don't see her do so, but you see Domoto] and eat and play ping pong. If you are a regular watcher of this show like I am, you'll like it. Otherwise, you might want to save your bandwidth.
Matthew's Best Hit TV 4.21.2004 Guests: Miho Yoshioka, Jun Kaname, Sachie Hara, Bishoujo Club 21
Matthew begins the show by saying that he can't refuse when he's asked to do something, but there's not enough time for everything, so he decides to give PR for stuff based on a lottery system. He promotes the movie "Koibito wa Sniper". Then it's time for Matthew Catering with his Aunt Remi (Hirano). First he has to go get the guests, Miho Yoshioka and Jun Kaname, who are there to promote their project together. Matthew challenges Kaname in a "red string of fate" to see who gets to be with Miho Yoshioka. Then When they return to the Matthew Catering set, Sachie Hara is there and waiting. Remi creates her "Tokyuu Tokyuu Naporitan" aka "Express Classy Napolitan" using bacon, peppers, spaghetti etc. I don't think I would like it, but it looked like it could be tasty.
Then it is time for the Best Hit Generation guest Bishoujo Club 21. It's an all girl group with you guessed it, 21 members. The sound like recent Dream. Needless to say, it is difficult to have 21 people on simultaneously as your guest, so maybe 5 of them do all the talking. The main one I noticed was the one who sat closest to Matthew and seemed to be the leader and looked sort of Caucasian. The generation theme this time is beauty contest winners. Then Kurea (Claire?) Kurosawa infiltrates the group and suggests they do manzai (Japanese style stand-up comedy typically done in pairs) with 23 people. It was pretty funny. This is followed by a game where the object is pretty much to get in front of whatever camera is on, and when that many people are involved, it is pretty chaotic.
