Bonus Chapter #1 :

Lunch and Tenshinhan

The day before the nightmares began.

Tenshinhan and Chiaouzu were in their usual place in the remote mountains, meditating. It was a very cold and lonely place. Nobody lives there; it was a rocky and barren piece of land, and when the wind blows, it chills right to the bones. But today is calm, though. It was  nice and quiet, just the kind of day suitable for meditating. But not for long. Tenshinhan's third eye opened as he sensed someone coming. A blonde haired woman on an air bike. She landed in front of the two monks.

"Hello Lunch. How did you find us?" Tenshinhan greeted their visitor.

"Wasn't easy. But I'm not here to talk about that. That'd take too long. Come to my place for dinner. We have some unfinished business to settle." Lunch turned to Chiaouzu. "You can come too." Then she sped off on her air bike, knowing that Tenshinhan and Chiaouzu can easily fly after her.

"Looks like she really loves you Ten. She's climbed the highest mountains for you..." Chiaouzu teased.

"Shut up," said Tenshinhan. But inwardly he smiled to himself. He was fascinated by Lunch, split personality and all. He wondered what she had planned for the evening. Whatever it was, he was sure she'd been planning it for a long time, and he was sure he'd enjoy it too.

They arrived at Lunch's apartment. She was waiting for them with a simple dinner at her table. "Sit down and eat", she said, her eyes never leaving Tenshinhan as she pushed his plate to him. She produced a bottle of expensive looking wine.

"Where'd you rob that one off from?" he asked, only half joking.

"Oh...you don't want to know." She poured him a glass and another one for herself. Chiaouzu declined a drink. "Cheers."

An hour and a half  and two bottles later, Tenshinhan looked a bit woozy. Apparently he wasn't used to hard drinks. Now's her chance. Lunch smiled at Chiaouzu. "Why don't you go watch a movie or something. Just take how much you want from that sack over there," she pointed to a sack full of bank notes next to her Uzi. He got the hint.

"Ummm..sure. Thank you for the dinner. I'm sure Tenshinhan will appreciate it too," Chiaouzu said politely. She couldn't tell if that last remark was completely innocent or if Chiaouzu was actually teasing. Well, never mind him.

She waited until Chiaouzu left then turned her attention to Tenshinhan. He was usually very reserved, but a spiked meal coupled with a few glasses of wine had fixed that problem. She's been waiting for this moment for so long. Ten years ago, she had been attracted to the brave triclops who had dared defy his teacher when he realized the Tsuru way was wrong. She went after him, that is until her past caught up her. She had finally gotten arrested for numerous counts of bank robbery, many of which she couldn't even remember anymore. She spent five years behind bars before finally escaping. The first thing she did afterwards was to look for him. She could remember the day she went to see old Kamesennin to ask for Tenshinhan's whereabouts and he told her he was dead. That was when she realized it would've been too late, if not for the Dragon Balls. Well now she's going to take this chance and make full use of it before it slips away again.

"You look like you need to lie down," Lunch said to the bald triclops, his cheeks flushed red from the alcohol. She led him to her bedroom and closed the door after them.

Next morning.

Lunch woke up and stretched. She turned to look at Tenshinhan's sleeping form beside her and smiled, as she remembered last night. She ran her hand through her blonde hair, as a strand fell and touched her nose. It tickled...

"Achoo..!!"

Black haired Lunch sat up in her bed. What happened..? Oh, I'm in bed, at home. Not in some jail or in the middle of a robbery... She suddenly realized that she was naked, and that someone was in bed with her! She started, and her sudden movements woke Tenshinhan.

"...Lunch?"

Conscious of her nudity Lunch pulled the single size sheet over her body, and she saw that he was naked too. She blushed and turned away.

"Umm...err...good morning..." She mumbled shyly. Tenshinhan looked at the black haired woman draped in sheets, her back turned to him, who, last night was blonde and not shy at all. Quite the contrary.

"Lunch," he said softly. "Do you remember what happened last night?"

I can guess, Lunch thought. But she answered truthfully, "...no..."

She could hear him leave the bed and get dressed. Don't go! she wanted to scream, but she couldn't make herself turn around and face him. Tenshinhan finished dressing. "I'll let you get dressed. We'll talk at breakfast."

Later at breakfast, they had a long talk, catching up on old times. He told her about how he died fighting the evil Saiyajins, about the fight with Freeza and his father and how he thought he would die again, permanently this time. But thankfully, Goku came just in time, and in Super Saiyajin form he had easily beaten Freeza and his father. Sadly, Goku had died two years ago of a rare heart disease.

Suddenly Tenshinhan stood up. "Something's wrong. I can feel strong kis in the distance." Some are disappearing fast. He could tell it was Yamucha and the others, fighting someone who must be incredibly strong to have hurt them that bad. Is Vegeta making trouble again? he thought angrily. Apparently Chiaouzu felt it too, as he appeared at the door a few minutes later. Lunch looked up as Tenshinhan got up . "I have to go. Lunch...thank you for last night." She nodded silently, wishing she could remember and watched as they flew away. It was the last time she saw him alive.

Two days later.

The world was in panic as the cyborgs known only as No.17 and No.18 wreaked havoc and started what was to be their 17 year reign of terror. The world's emperor appealed for calm and asked for help from the mysterious person who had saved the world before to come forth again, because the army was powerless against the two cyborgs.

But there are others who know better, that now nobody alive in this world had a chance against them. Lunch watched silently as the bodies of Tenshinhan, Chiouzu, Yamucha, Kuririn, Piccolo and Vegeta were lowered into the ground. None of them could be raised again, now that Piccolo's dead and the Dragon Balls are gone forever. Kamesennin and the old turtle, Puaru and Oolong were there too, to pay their last respects. So was ChiChi with the heavily bandaged Gohan, who had miraculously survived the fight with the  cyborgs. And Bulma too, holding her little baby. They've all lost someone dear to them. But at least they still have someone, Lunch thought sadly as she looked over to ChiChi who was helping Gohan on his crutches and Bulma clutching her baby son tightly, as if afraid of losing him, too.

She took one last look at Tenshinhan's grave and then walked away, knowing that she was alone again. For now.
