Chapter 3
That night.
The Capsule Corporation building is huge. But like everything else in the world, it was still rebuilding as a result of the cyborgs' 17-year reign of terror. Seems that security wasn't very high on Bulma's priority list. The twins easily disabled the archaic security installed on one of the doors. For someone who's an expert in the latest technology, having that kind of system in her home was a surprise. Anyway, within minutes they were inside.
"Where do we start?" Supper whispered.
Tea was trying to figure out where her safe was when his stomach growled. "Hmm...nobody seems to be at home. Why don't we start at the kitchen?"
He boldly explored, as if the Capsule Corp. building was his.
Half an hour later, they found the kitchen. This building really is huge, even though they have skipped parts of the house that seemed deserted. But that's probably where she keeps her money, Tea thought to himself. But first, food. Even Bulma's fridge was huge. He opened it. It was fully stocked, like she was stocking food for a hundred or so people.
Not having anything to eat all day, brother and sister wasted no time in tending to their empty stomachs. When they had their fill, Tea said "Looks like nobody's home. Why don't we explore the house. This place is really interesting." Supper would rather find some cash as soon as possible and scram, but she too found the house to be full of interesting gadgets. She had also forgotten that she was the one who was so eager to come here. But what the heck. It would actually be fun to see if they'll get caught or not.
So they explored from room to room, pocketing anything that looked interesting or expensive. After 2 hours they found themselves in front of a door. There was something strange about it. The security system was more complex than the others but it looks like it's been blasted by a powerful explosive from the outside. Super looked at her brother. He looked back at her and shrugged. Had someone else had broken in here tonight? Since the door was slightly ajar, he pushed it open and they went in.
They found themselves in Bulma's lab. It was cluttered with computers, half finished robots and various electronic devices. Some of the equipment were smashed, as though there had been a fight in here.
And on the floor, lay two crumpled bodies, soaked in blood. The twins stared in shock at the sight before them. It was like so many sights they've seen before. But that didn't make it any less horrible. They took a step closer. As far as they can tell, it was a young man around their age, and an older woman. Bulma and her son, maybe? The young man was lying face down on top of the woman, his torso nearly severed from the rest of his body. He was most certainly dead, Tea thought as he recovered from his shock. He looked around as the room as he reached inside his pocket for his machine gun capsule, expecting who or whatever that attacked the two people to still be around. But there was nobody else there apart from his and his sister. And the woman... Supper too, has recovered from her shock. She moved towards the woman and put her hand on her neck to feel for a pulse. And she did find one, a very weak pulse.
"Tea! Quick! Call the hospital! She's still alive," Supper yelled. Her brother looked around and located a phone on the table. He dialed the emergency number.
"Hello? An ambulance quick. She's still live," He didn't realize he'd half repeated what his sister had said.
"Where are you sir?" The voice at the other end asked calmly with the experience of one's who's dealt with a lot of trauma over the years. Tea had to think for awhile before answering, "Capsule Corporation. In her lab,". Then he hung up before the operator had a chance to ask if there were any other casualties.
He then helped his sister lift Trunks' torso from Bulma and saw that her wounds were quite deep. If Trunks hadn't been on top of her, she would've been cut in half too. She wasn't conscious and she's lost too much blood. It doesn't look like she's going to make it.
The medical team arrived a few minutes later to find the twins beside the critically injured woman. There was another body beside her. It was badly burnt and torn in two. The lower half was still on top of the woman and the other half was facing the ceiling, dead blue eyes staring out from his face.
They radioed for the police and another ambulance, then rushed Bulma to hospital, where she later died.
