| Squall Leonheart was an orphan raised by Edea at an orphanage with other children, one day the person who he most looked up to "Big Sis" left. Afterward Squall entered Garden in order to become a Seed. He received his scar when he was sparring gunblades with Seifer and it got a little out of hand. His first Seed case was to help the Timber resistance group, led by Rinoa. There are some hints in the game that he is Laguna's son. |
| Squall is 17, was born on August 23, and is 5'8''. He first falls for Rinoa when he dances with her at his Seed graduation, but finds out that she's all into Seifer so backs down. |
