What If Our Parachute Doesn't Open? (Season premiere) | "This race [around the world] is even more intense than usual," says host Phil Keoghan of the reality series' third edition, which begins in Miami. "We've upped the ante a little bit in terms of what they have to deal with mentally and physically." One of the race's biggest challenges occurs at the start: The 12 groups of two---who are friends, couples or relatives---land in Mexico City and must go skydiving if they want a chance to get ahead of the pack. (The alternative? Participate in a donkey-cart race.) The circumnavigation of the globe occurs over 30 days, ends with a $1 million prize and covers 41,000 miles. "Hard miles," says Keoghan. "And the teams feel every one of them. We burnt [them] out." | Gina and Sylvia
| This Seems Like the Path Straight to Hell! | A car collides with a bus carrying several teams on a Mexican road, leaving the players to deal with the aftermath. Also, two teams wipe-out while riding waverunners. | Talicia and Tramel

| Why Did You Have to Take Your Pants Off?! (2 hours) | Five teams race from the Swiss Alps to Malaysia and then to Singapore. Along the way, the teams must bungee jump more than 600 feet. | First Half: Not an elimination round | Second Half: John Vito and Jill Don't Try to Play the Moralist Now! | The four remaining teams race through Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City and get caught in a storm while competing on a nearby river. | Derek and Drew
| They're Slithering to the Finish Line Like the Rest of Us! (2 hours) | The globe-trotting reality series concludes its third edition as the final three teams dash to the finish line and attempt to claim the $1 million first-place prize. "We've been extremely lucky now for the third time to create a great finish," says host Phil Keoghan. "You're going to see teams at the highest highs and the lowest lows." At press time, the pairs still in the hunt are friends Flo and Zach, twin brothers Derek and Drew, dating couple John Vito and Jill, married parents Teri and Ian, and brothers Ken and Gerard. The final leg of the 41,000-mile race, which includes stops in Singapore and Vietnam, will end at an undisclosed location in the U.S. | 3rd place: Ken and Gerard
