Voyager

Since life began jewelled empires rise and fall.
In the passing of a day
Their glories fade to dust;
The winds of change then blow away.
I have dreamt them all.

Since I began I've lent my strength to all;
Have guided all that care,
And punished those who dared
To change the workings in my charge.
I have slain them all.

Since time began I've sailed the seas,
Here where all is known.
And every living soul,
Is but a note in love's great song.
I have played them all.

Since you began I've watched you close,
Have soothed you at my breast
And sung my lullaby
My voice the wind, my arms the sky
I have loved you all
