"the Hiroshima Girls", was what we called the four of them in 2001 when they came to B.G.S.U. as exchange students from Jogakuin. Kanae, Kana, Erina, and Mami. When we were just starting to get to know eachother I left for Hiroshima, and when my time in Japan was almost up, they came back. So we really didn't have enough time. But we had a blast going to Shane's parties, chatting up, and later going to beer gardens and Kemby's. Then it was time for me to go back to the US. Pic at right is Erina & Mami. The one below is all of them (obviously). ---

| Aya & Mayu were
My tutors at Jogakuin. I spent some time with them, when they weren't busy which was pretty much always. They invited me out sometimes though, which I appreciated (especially early on). They were just really sweet girls. They took me to try oil painting once, and to karaoke, to a inter-university picnic, and they came to my place to have a curry-party once. (was v. tasty)

| Eriko was another of my Jogakuin friends. She is an English teacher now, but she doesn't know where the future will take her. Having just been married on December 28, 2003, she and her husband Lars could end up in any number of different countries, but its not very likely that they will end up near her home in Hiroshima.
