This page is dedicated to a jpop idol which I kinda admire. Hamasaki Ayumi, a 22 year old singer, is not the most talented artist that I've come across, but she's definately got some.

You can find tonnes of web pages dedicated to her, some even telling her whole life story and how great she is etc, but an artist always have to suffer tonnes before becoming what they are: for a female, they're usually sex symbols and a public model which you can see lots of look-a-like on the streets. You'll lose your idenity, as everyone is dying to copy your style. But what makes being an idol so attractive? the spot light? the attention? the money? I think it's all of the above. And when you found out that reality is unlike the dream you always had, you've found yourself bonded to a contact, and a duty that you aren't really prepared for falling on your shoulders.

I admit, when i first saw the ads for her album, i wasn't really impress. Until i played "thousand arms" and realised that the theme song "depend on you" was sung by her, I wouldn't have the slightest clue to who she was. I bought the first album, "A song for X X" and i skipped tracks after tracks after tracks.. and repeated "depend on you" for eternity... till I got sick of it. Then one day, I saw her releasing 4 remix albums at a go, and i thought "she is definately crazy.... but i'll just download the mp3 anyway."

Out of the 4 album, i have 2 of them and the second album "LOVEppears" then came teh maxi singles, then the third album DUTY and M.. and EVOLUTION.

Whoever is a great fan of Hamasaki Ayumi will be one poor human.. haa~~ like me~~

Most of her songs (written by her) are about love, her feelings towards something. Very typical, sometimes, easy to relate. She's got an extremely talented re-mixer HAL and group of production people. Her voice is not that great though, but the great, fast pacing music makes up for most of it.

Anyway, i'm not sure if I want to post any more of Ayu's bio data here. It's not as though you can't get them from anywhere! But I'll try to scqan some pictures in.

So far, my 4 most favourite songs are FLY HIGH, AUDIENCE, SURREAL, M. I'll get the lyrics and tranlation up soon.... soon...... like... soon...
