Such an inelegant title for this section could only mean we're talking dirty! ^_- Here in the Vegetable Garden, we tackle rumors, gossips, and those silly questions you've always been afraid to ask!
Eh? ^^; Okay, okay, let's get serious. We already know that she did have a boyfriend, but how many before that guy-who-broke-her-heart-on-a-rainy-day is one thing I don't know. In the anime, she somewhat mentioned having more than one. In the manga, she does talk about a lot of guys she encountered before, but she never mentioned any intimate relationship with any. Sad to say, but most of the relationships she discussed were of unrequited and one-sided ones. That's a good point, and I've always wanted to know the answer myself. Nothing of this was mentioned in the anime, and surprisingly, I haven't read anything about it in the manga, either (not that I've read all of them, but I have read most of them). Perhaps she lives on her parents insurance money. Yes, actually. In the kawaii R episode, "Nurse Minako", Mako-chan was seen with her hair down, while she was in bed, sick with the flu. Her wavy hair when left down), reached her shoulders--which is a bit confusing since in her first appearance, her hair (in a ponytail), reached down her waist. Well, that's anime inconsistency for you! Spare me! This is a very tired issue. If you're one of those who can't get enough about that Mars vs Jupiter thingie, then read my Senshi Face-off. If you're after the basic data, then I have to say that in terms of attack-power, yes, Sailorjupiter is the most powerful. For more information on this, check out Ro's reliable attack chart in her page, SailorMoon CyberCity. This is not true! If they didn't want her, how did she get accepted in the school in the first place? In the manga, when the principal approached her, she coolly explained that there were no available uniforms in her size. Yes, but this doesn't really mean anything. Because if it did, it wouldn't be so inconsistent. Sometimes, card artists draw a single stripe on Sailorjupiter's fuku, sometimes two or even three. I haven't heard or read of any explanation from Naoko Takeuchi herself. But how about this: in the anime, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter have two stripes on their senshi suit, and in their school uniforms. Mars and Venus have a single stripe on their senshi suit (Sailor V had two, though), as it is with their school uniforms as well. Perhaps the stripes were based on their original school uniforms. I swear she's been wearing that ponytail for most of her life! In the SuperS movie, a kawaii chibi Mako-chan was shown already wearing it. She even wears it as Sailorjupiter and you'd think she'd exert some effort in hiding her identity. Geez, superheroines nowadays. Anyway, the ponytail, like the cropped hair, is a common symbolism for female characters in the animanga world, usually denoting strength and independence. So yes, you almost never see a charcter like Mako-chan with her hair down, especially in the anime. They're a pair of kawaii rose earrings (for my kababayans out there, fellow Pinoys, you can purchase a similar looking pair at any Marcella stores near you. I err..have one myself. *^_^*;;). It's a clip-on, and if you want to know how I found out, watch SailorStars episode 171. Also, in Sailormoon episode 25, she slipped it off quite easily during her fight with Zoicite. We have to thank Bronx for this piece of information! *hugs* Anyway, she has told me that a recent RPG company published a small resource book on Sailor Moon. Although we're not sure Naoko Takeuchi came up with the dates herself, we are pretty sure that they had the go from Kodansha. So we're hoping this would be as good as official for you. ^^; Well anyway, according to them, Kino Makoto was born on December 5th, 1977. Now assuming you're caucasian (most of my visitors are from North America), "5'6 is nothing to take seriously. But for us, pint-sized asians, "5'6 for a 14-year old girl is tall! Average height for grown-up women here barely reaches five feet four inches ("5'4). And if you haven't noticed, Mako-chan is Japanese, and yes, she falls under asian. ^_- |
