I am planning on having a resource page dedicated to Robert Jordan's novels, the Wheel of time series. Some information about the Geography of Seanchan, Sharra, the land of the madmen and of course the main continent. History on the Trolloc Wars, and the reign of Artur Hawkwing. Of Hawkwing's expeditions to Seanchan by his son Luthair, and the expedition to Sharra by one of his daughters. Also a history on the War of Shadow would be deemed necessary to complete this. | The history of the Male Forsaken, the Female Forsaken, and
the two newer ones named Aran'gar and Osan'gar, who were named such after a game of
dueling in the Age of Legends. Also the history of each realm and maybe a map of the world if I can scan it. Even some information on the Lands behind the Portals.

I Apologize for this mess at the bottom but I need it right now and it will be gone as soon as possible. Thank you.#996600 .
Ishamael Foremost of the thirteen who formed the high council of the Shadow's forces was Ishamael, or "Betrayer of Hope" in the Old Tongue. Also known as Ba'alzomon, Heart of the Dark, and Soul of the Shadow, he was assuredly the Dark One's top captain-general despite the fact that he never held a direct field command. Believed to be the most powerful of the Chosen in the use of the One Power, he was equaled by none but Lews Therin Telamon himself. As Elan Morin Tedronai, he was one of the foremost philosophers of his time, possibly the foremost. His books (among them Analysis of Perceived Meaning, Reality and the Absence of Meaning, and the Dissassembly of Reason), while to esoteric for wilde popularity, were extremely influential in many areas beyond philosophy, especially the arts. No copies survive. Elan Morin certainly was omong the first to pledge himself to the Shadow, possibly the first. His public announcement of this, coming from a world-respected figure at a time when famine, plagues, and massive riots were racking an unprepared world, in the middle of a conference called to discuss dealing with the crisis, sparked even greater riots. It was Elan Morin who at the same time first announced to the world what was they faced. He called for the complete destruction of the old order- indeed, the complete destruction of everyting. When the Dragon led the final strike against the Dark at Shayol Ghul, Ishamael may have been in some way only partially trapped by the seal of the Bore, leaving him aware and able to touch the world. It may have been likely that Ishamael could have been free in earlier times such as the Trolloc Wars and the War of the Hundred Years. During the Trolloc wars the name Ba'alzomon, later claimed by Ishamel, was used by a paramount leader, and later by other Dreadlords. No such connection exists during the War of the Hundred Years, but it is harldy impossible given the other evidence. he was killed by Rand in the Stone of Tear in 999N.E, but with the Lord of the Grave, death is not always final |
AginorThe second most powerful man, known by the Forsaken name Aginor, came close to rivaling Lews Therin and Ishamael in strength. Before he turned to the Dark, he was Ishar Morrad Chuain, one of the foremost biological scientists of the Age of Legends. Ishar Morrad was one of the first of the Forsaken to go over to the Shadow, probably some time in the first three decades of the Collapse. After becoming Forsaken, he dedicated his energies to the creation of "Shadowspaw," living constructs designed to serve the Shadow. He created the Trollocs, Draghkar, and some other known only though historical records, such as the Gholam and the jumara. As far as is known, Aginor held no field commands and never served as a governor. He did have complete authority, however, to obtain material for his experiments. It has been estimated that in excess of ten thousand men, women, and children were taken away every day from the very beginning of the War of Power to Its end. |
BalthamelBalthamel, born Eval Ramman, was a historian who specialized in the study of vanished cultures. Though quite stron in the Power, he was unable to distinguish himself enough to earn the coveted third name. Some sources suggest that the quality of his work was not the only reason he lacked status. he was said to have a great temper and he lacked control of it. More than once he became very close to being bound with the Power against doing violence. he was a good-looking man who enjoyed women and was very popular with them, but despite his position at an instiute of higher learning in M'Jinn, he spent a great deal of time in what today would be called seedy taverns. It has been suggested that the reason he was not dismissed from his post was because of his strength in the Power. He was drawn to the Shadow because of it's promise of immortality. Although as Balthamel he stood high in the councils of the Shadow during the war, his exact role is impossible to ascertain. He may have headed an intelligence network which competed with that run by Moghedien. Without doubt he never held a field command, but it is possible he served as a Governor. He was trapped even closer to the surface of the Bore than Aginor, but not as close as Ishamael. His body was ravaged and he could not bear to look upon it. He was killed by the Nym known as the Green Man at the Eye of the World. |
SammaelMost of the other Forsaken were trapped deeply enough to remain untouched and undamaged by time, though it made them a little slower to escape than the others. They lacked even scars, except for the one worn by the Chosen called Sammael. Sammael's scar was a reminder of the humiliating defeat in which he gained it. It was a badge of hatred and vengeance. He was of average height, and this angered him, for he felt that he was judged by his height and not skill. As Tel Janin Aellinsar, he was a world renowned sportsman before tghe war, competing in a number of events. He was said to be friends with Lews Therin Telamon, though the closeness of the friendship cannot be ascertained. with the onset of the War of Power his other talents were revealed, and he soon became one of Lews Therin's best generals. Withoug a doubt he fell in love with war. His greatest ability lay in planning defence, and throughout the war the side of Light was most often on the defensive. But in the fourth year of the War, he suddenly went over to Shadow. This was partly because he came to believe that the Dark One would inevitably win and partly because of his now hatred of Lews Therin Telamon. He believed that he was a better general than Lews Therin and deserved the overall command that had been given to the other man. It was Lews Therin who had given him his scar, and he was determined to wear it until the man lay defeated before him. Sammael much preferred conquest by military means to the maneuvers of political intrigue or diplomacy, and preferred field commands to service as governor. In addition to the usual atrocities, his governorships were marked by what might be called absentminded cruelty. He did not bother managing the resources of the civillian population. On the other hand his own military forces were provided for, though impersonally. As if he was looking after a sword, in order to keep it honed for battle. Sammael was killed by Rand at Shadar Logoth. |
RhavinSammael hated political intrigue, but Rhavin muched preferred diplomacy and manipulation to open conflict. Nothing is known of Ared Mosinel before the Collapse, when he appeared among the highest council of the Dark One, and in truth not a great deal was known after. There is little doubt that he thirsted for raw power and recognition and hoped he could find this serving the Shadow. It is believed that he used Compulsion discreetly, bending minds and wills to assure his constant control of any situation. Under the Shadow he held both Military commands and governorships, and while he was a fair general he excelled in courtly manipulation. He is credited with causing the several regions of the world to surrender to the Dark One's forces, without actually entering battle. The regions he governed were dealt with efficiently, though harshly as well. Rhavin's two major weaknesses were his love of sycophancy and his fondness for women. Many people gained positions under him with flattery, though he was quick to eliminate those that were not efficient. Much of the laxity in his administration was due to the time he spent with his lovers. Once free of the Bore, he used Compulsion on Queen Morgase, and became the power behind the throne until he was killed by Rand Al'Thor with Balefire |
Be'lalWhile Rhavin preferred manipulation, the Forsaken known as Be'Lal the Envious excelled in it. To the point where he was often known as the Netweaver. As Duram Laddel Cham, he was the Age of Legends' equivalent of and advocate, representing people in courts of law. That he was good at what he did is proven by the honorific third name, but not by any other source. He is the Forsaken about whom the least is known. Some sources suggest that he, like Sammael, had been in the service of the Light against the Dark, before his fall. He went over to the Shadow during the Collapse, but whether at the beginning or end is not recorded. During the war he held several field commands, apparently proving himsel a more than adequate general. His campaings and admisnistration were marked by extreme violence and cruelty. Some fragments indicate that he was among those that raised the Hall of Servants, just before being sealed into the Bore. After his escape, he ruled Tear as High Lord Samon until he was killed by Moiraine with Balefire. |
DemandredDemandred, like Sammael, turned against Lews Therin in the War of Shadow because of envy. He hated Lews Therin even more thatn Sammael did. Before he became Demandred, he was Barid Bel Medar, and second to Lews Therin as the most influential man of the Age of Legends. If it were not for Lews Therin, Demandred would surely have been the most acclaimed man of his age. He was born a day after Lews Therin, and had almost as much power, almost as much skill. But every step he took, he was still one step behind the Dragon. He wrote many books that were both critical and popular successes. At the onset of the War of Shadow, Barid Bel quickly became one of the leading Generals against the dark. But his envy of Lews Therin drove him to join the forces of darkness. He wond many battles for the Shadow and even held some posts as governor, but much preferred the field. Not because he enjoyed war, but because he wanted to defeat Lews Therin himself. To have vengeance for his life of being "almost" the best. |
AsmodeanAmong the Forsaken, Asmodean had the most unusual reason for going over to the Shadow. Before the War he was Joar Addam Nessosin and was an acclaimed composer. Though his works were great, they were not to be compared with others of his time. He reasoned that if he was immortal, he would have eternity to create. And he would be able to get revenge on those who had critisized his works. It is believed he held no field commands and rarely served as governor. But his governorships were not marked by the extreme atrocities of the other forsaken. After escaping the bore he allied with Lanfear as the bard Jasin Natael. He died in Caemlyn, the killer unknown. |
