This Update's Special: Prelude to the Inner senshi
Makenai wa yo! (Part 1 of 4)
Sailormoon was happy that she was joined by four other soldiers, each one powerful and brave to face the enemy. Their personalities and abilities vary and yet their cooperation and synergy has enabled them to work well against any opponent they face.
Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako. They are five Pretty Soldiers in Sailorsuits that keep peace and love."

And even more than that, as their individual persons, each one is already gifted with their own talents before they were even reawakened to be someone special from their past lives as bishoujo senshi. Each one was destined for a very unique mission to fight for love and justice.
They have always introduced themselves as "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Team!" And that is the Inner senshi's legacy as a group. They usually talk about their strategies among themselves before initiating an attack. From the very start, the Inner senshi have always relied on each other. Together, they investigated the events that are happening.
How does it happen? Take a scenario in season S, from their fight against the most powerful twin witches, Cyprine and Pikuroll.
The Inner senshi nod in an agreement. A strategy has been agreed upon. Sailormercury initiates her Shabon Spray and a thick mist fills the entire area, making it impossible for their opponent to see them.
Sailorvenus uses her Love me Chain to hold their wands together so the enemy cannot use it. Then, from above, Sailorjupiter and Sailormars deliver a heavy blow, knocking the twin witches off their feet. Sailorjupiter leads one witch and Sailormars leads the other. As Sailorjupiter disappears in the mist, Sailormars finds herself trapped in the center of both witches and both try to attack her. (Not knowing that Sailorjupiter has led the other witch to that exact spot.) Sailormars dodges the attack as their enemy captures their own attack and is defeated.
This was not the only battle that they have successfully won together. But this was certainly one of the classic examples of teamwork and synergy among the Inner senshi. There are many other battles where each senshi is shown to be valuable to the team. The Inner senshi's cooperation is so important that they have to teleport together. (Sailormoon included.) And they also powerfully combine their attacks together, in the Sailor Planet Attack!
Inspite of all the differences in personality, talent and powers, the Inner senshi always survive the fight together. Jointly, they win over their enemies. Each one still has their own distinction.
What keeps them together?" It is simply their friendship. That each one calls each other by the term of endearment, "chan" (Rei-chan, Usagi-chan, Ami-chan, Mako-chan and Minako-chan)means that they are very close to each other. They even share funny antics together! But of course, aside from this, we can see for ourselves the bond that they all have. That is why the Inner Senshi have survived...together, throughout all the seasons.
