This Update's Special: Aino Minako, Sailorvenus
Cheerful and Bubbly Friend! (Part 4 of 4)
The last to sailor senshi to appear, Sailorvenus appears to have exhibited a serious and authoritative dominance when she came ... this was at first! In the manga, too, Sailorvenus showed authority over all the senshi, having played the stand-in for the Princess as a strategy against the Dark Kingdom. In the anime, she was about as commanding, having attacked General Kunzite when he trapped the other Inner senshi in an impenetrable force field. But who'd have ever thought that the leader of the guardians true character would unfold in the upcoming episodes?
The story of Sailorvenus has a very interesting twist. As Sailor V, she was also the fighter for love and justice! She even bore the crescent insignia on her forehead. Se-ra-Bui! mirrors our hero Sailormoon, even having her own Kaitou Ace, when Sailormoon has Tuxedo Kamen. Indeed, Sailorvenus's beginnings were that of the popular Sailor V, who Usagi even idolized! She was actually the first senshi to awaken than the Moon Princess herself.
And she was already a celebrity!
However, as Aino Minako joined the rest of the Inner senshi, we find that she's actually the cheerful and bubbly character among them! I was also surprised that from her serious composure when she first came, she became involved in many funny antics with Usagi! Even advertising Sailor V's manga and character items!
Well, Aino Minako is the original character concept on which Usagi was based on. However, compared to Usagi, Minako-chan exhibits her own distinct charm. I guess she's more of a happy-go-lucky person than Usagi since Minako is a girl who always wants to have fun all the time! That is not to say that she's a reckless person.
In fact, she does great in many things! Well, she frequents the arcade a lot and is found to be good in game of racing. (Even to challenge Haruka!) And Minako is also great in volleyball that she was at one time, a member of her school's varsity team. This is the stuff that Aino Minako is made of!
Well, Minako-chan still exhibits her own serious side. She has actually dwelt a lot on herself. During the first season, she was shown to be extremely saddened having discovered that her love Alan was inlove with who she treats as onee-chan (sister) Katerina. Anyone who has watched this episode have surely felt an intense sympathy for Minako. (I know I did!) The fact that her two best friends have formed a bond and that she had painfully learned of the discovery in the shadows really struck her hard! Alan and Katerina may have thought she was a child, but Minako-chan displayed her maturity by saving Katerina from the youma and telling her friend that she had understood. ^_^
Well, Minako has, more often, shown how silly she can be! In the S episode, she was affected that her heart crystal wasn't taken (!) since she was sad that maybe she didn't have a pure heart! Later, upon seeing her heart crystal taken, she took off with a monkey-like chatter!
Funny and cheerful, Minako-chan is a very lovable character! Always sweet and you can count on her when you want to have fun! She'll be happy to talk and will put anyone in a light mood!
Actually, one other thing that has connected her with Rei is that she seems to be closest to Rei in the manga. In the anime, Minako-chan is found to be closer to Mako-chan, although this is only one episode in R and isn't as evident throughout the entire series. In the manga, however, Minako found that Rei, even if she is stubborn and popular, is one friend that she really likes! They're so funny together!
Minako is really as silly and sweet! (Don't forget that she also likes many guys!) Well, there is another unforgettable character that even Rei seems to be so close to! One other thing... will she ever be a famous idol in the future as she ambitions to be? ^_^
Dedicated to my equally funny and sweet sister, Rae!
