Mysterious and Beautiful, the Goddess of Time(Part 5 of 5)

Usually second to the last to be introduced among the new soldiers to be discovered, Sailorpluto was actually the first one to appear among them. She first appears in season R and we don't see her face at first. Chibiusa fondly calls her Puu and she calls Chibiusa, Small Lady. The anime shows how Sailorpluto appears to the guardian senshi and she is the one who lets them in through the Tunnel of Time.

She's known as the "mysterious" senshi. Her appearances are rather sudden and she's rarely seen. And just as her sudden appearance to the guardian senshi in season R, she suddenly returns again in season S. Watching in the sidelines at first but later she emerges to tell the secret of the talismans. It was with her help that the heart crystals of Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune were restored and their talisman returned to them.

Her appearances are really rather sudden that during one episode in Sailorstars, the Inner senshi were really surprised where she had come from. The Inner senshi were discussing about Chibichibi's relation to Usagi that day when Setsuna suddenly appeared from nowhere declaring that only Small Lady was the daughter of Neo-Queen Serenity. (You should've seen the look in their faces when Setsuna appeared!) Even as mysterious and serious, there are some few comic moments in Setsuna!

Tuxedo Kamen once described her as the senshi of Hades, although this is referring to her star, Pluto. Sailorpluto is really the senshi of time and her duty is to be the guardian of its gates. Her role is more evident in the manga because there, her role as the guardian of time is so important that she has strict instructions of not altering it. At one time in the manga, she stopped time in order to help Sailormoon defeat the Black Moon family and the sentence was death. (However, she was restored in the end!)

The day she stopped time was even more breathtaking in the anime. Before Uranus's and Neptune's helicopters were destroyed, the two found themselves in the middle of the explosion, unharmed. The debris surrounded Uranus and Neptune but they found Sailorpluto standing magnificently in the midst holding her orb.

Aside from her strong powers and important role as the senshi of time, Setsuna's beauty and refinement distinguishes her. (Her skin is tanned unlike the others.) Beautiful and thoughtful along with the mystery of time in her, what a unique senshi she really is!
