Hello! I will try my best to keep you updated with Leon news...most of which I get from other web pages about Leon, I'm sorry if I miss some news about him, I don't speak chinese that well and can't get that much news =( All of my news will either be from tv, newspapers, or people on the net so I want to thank beforehand so I don't have to keep on repeating my thanks to everyone (that means Danny, Janice, Kim, Jessie, and all of their news sources)! *^_^* Thanks a lot!

July News..
Leon's newest movie "New Love Century" has finished taping and the premiere is going to be in Hong Kong tomorrow (July 23). This is the first movie out of 3 that Leon will be starring in this summer. Go Leon!
I'm sorry it's been so long since I've updated my news, I've been on a trip. Anyways, Leon was in Florida (USA) from July 16-19 (the same exact days I was on my trip! it's an omen!) where he had dinner with some big SONY executives and a few singers under SONY. Maybe he'll sing with Mariah or Celine or something =D hehe!
Leon's going to Brazil!! Later this year, he's planning on going down there to visit the poor kids and the young prostitutes as Ambassador for UNICEF. I think it's great that he's using his fame and fortune to reach out to people that need some help =)
Leon, along with the other 3 Heavenly Kings, Sammi, and a few others, sang in HK's 1st Anniversary Handover show. First he sang his Kinetic Joy song (which i have been looking for all over the place) and then he sang a song with Sammi. It is so cute. Sammi made a mistake when she was lip-synching, I guess she moved her mouth wrong. And everyone was blaming her because there were so many big wigs there. Leon covered for her saying something along the lines of, "Every artist wants to be perfect so sometimes they tape the song first so it sounds better. This song is a hard song to sing so not wanting to make a mistake, we taped it first. And when someone's nervous they are prone to make a mistake so a little glitch here and there is normal." BREAKING NEWS!! Leon's mini concert in Malaysia will be held June 21. The best part is, he's going to have it broadcasted LIVE on the internet!! WOW!! I can't wait. Ok, here's the information. Oh wow, I'm so sorry I haven't updated in so long, it's because of finals and that other page..been keeping me busy lately. You probably already know about Leon singing a song for the World Cup CD. It's called Kinetic Joy. I went to Sam Goody today to buy it but they didn't have it =P Coco Lee also has a cantonese song on the CD but remember that there are lots of different versions of the CD out there, remember to look for Leon's name if you're buying it for his song (which is very good!)

Ok, Leon's newest cantonese EP, called "I Love You Like This" has been released and then just today, another version was released by SONY with more pictures inside; same songs and music videos though. In the package there are 2 cd's, one is the EP (with 6 songs) and the other is a VCD with 3 music videos and 2 karaoke's. I just bought it a few days ago (so I got the old version) and it's excellent! I love it..the 2nd track has him singing in English in the beginning and the end, he uses his voice very expressively..here's a pic:
May News..
Hey, the good version of "Longing" (meaning the real one) is to be released by Polygram on the 19th, and SONY's new cd (cantonese) will be released on the 20th. I'm buying both!! =D To show Polygram what they lost and to show SONY what they gained. But actually, I want them both anyway so it's a plus for me and SONY *^_^*
FINALLY!! Polygram has released Leon's newest CD, "Longing"!!! I've been waiting for this..the one recorded in Korea has been released (it's quality isn't very good) the ones recorded in Taiwan will be coming out shortly. The newest Cantonese one (first album from Sony) will be released soon also. *^_^* My birthday presents!! yay!
April News..
Hehe, Leon did a music video in Hong Kong's new airport. He was the first artist to tape a video there and the first to arrive and depart from there. This is a scene from his music video (I forgot which song)..hehe, looks like he's trying to do the Men In Black dance, LIB!! <--Leon in black! *^_^*
Hey, I heard that Leon signed with Sony to do an English CD, I'm not sure if that's true yet but if it is, YEAH LEON!! Here's his big break into America!! Hollywook look out! Leon's coming! =D

Let's see..today is the 12th..so in 3 days, Leon's newest commercial for Hutchinson will air in Hong Kong. This is the commercial for the cell phone, which Lee Ann D'Alexandry is in. The theme song for it has already been recorded and is called "Break Up". This sucks, how come they don't air the commercials in the US too? What happened to the International Channel? >:o(
(This was taken directly out of L-News, I was too lazy to rephrase it) Leon is the guest star host for this year's "World Cup" which is hosted by TVB. Leo will get a change to go to France with whoever wins the contest. The contest consists of 3000 people who are willing to pay $500HK to join a soccer club. Then, within those 3000 people, 1 person will be picked and given two tickets to watch the soccer match in France with Leon. (@_@ Wow, I would pay a whole lot more to sit next to Leon during a soccer game..but I don't really know how much exactly $500HK is in US$ so nevermind =D) Oh, oh, oh..Leon's favorite soccer team is Brazil. =)
Wow, this is impressive! Leon's name has been added to the Guiness Book of World Records for all the charity he did in 1995 as Youth Charity Ambassador for UNICEF. It was entered as the "largest amount of people helped through one charity event" (he helped 80 million children with infantile paralysis). Congratulations Leon! You deserve it ;o)
For a while now, a pirated version of Leon's concert in HK (you know the big one called "Leon's Live Version") has been on sale in the black market. I guess it's being investigated now and they're gonna arrest who released it. =O Too bad I couldn't get my hands on a copy =P
This is from last month, but I just found out about it so, here it is: Leon performed a show for Metro Radio in March called "Leon and I-Song, Movie Workshop". There he talked about his change from Polygram to Sony saying that he didn't leave Polygram because of the "Big Brother" status that Jacky is currently holding on tightly to. He said **sniffle, sniffle** (this broke my heart) that, "Even when I was at Polygram I knew my position and always knew that Jacky was better than me. You should always know where you stand even if I leave Polygram no matter where I go, Jakcy will still be better than me. So there is not really any difference at all." (That wasn't his exact quote and thanks to Jessie and Kim at L-News for that tidbit)
Wow, this little bit of news makes me really happy! Leon said that this year he would take some time off to make a TVB series!! @_@ yea!! This means 13+ tapes of Leon!! =D Wow! Alright, am I looking forward to this *^_^*
Hehe, well, Leon's been accused of having another girlfriend. This time she's 18, model, doesn't speak a word of Chinese and never knew about him before they had to shoot the commercial together. In the commercial, the two have relationship problems until an accident and a couple of cell phones bring them together. In spite of what the Singaporean newspapers said about their "relationship" the girl, named Lee Ann, has a boyfriend and thinks that Leon "isn't her type" because he listens to the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls. Hehe, that's just perfect cause I do! =D So, obviously, Leon and I are the PERFECT match, no? ;o) I'm really loving this..I'll take advantage of it, wouldn't you? Hey, even though his CD hasn't been released here, it has been in Japan. So that's why there are a few RA file out there on the web. I have one of the songs, it's called "I Am Too Foolish"..it's a great song! I really like it! To bad I can't go get the cd =P To get the song, Click here! Enjoy! I'm so HAPPY!! This isn't really news, just some stuff that made me really happy today! *^_^* Leon Family finally sent me my membership card and a bunch of stuff with it. A magazine, video tape cases, autographed Leon page (photocopy)...**Sigh** I'm so happy!!! =D

Leon has signed with SONY!! Sony isn't as big as Polygram in HK..a friend of mine is worried that this is going to make it harder to find stuff over here (I was to for a while) but I think we'll be fine. Leon's so popular and has so many fans worldwide that I think he will MAKE Sony popular! =D The signing of the contracts ceremony is on March 28th.
Leon dyed his hair back to black!! =O That was fast! He had to dye it back to black for his movie. And I was just about to dye my hair brown too! =D
Leon's movie was at first called "Before Memory..Forget After" but it was changed to "City of Glasses".
Leon's newest mandarin CD is coming out on March 20th, I'm not sure what it's going to be called though. I'm so excited!! =D Even the production of Leon's new mandarin album was finished 3 months ago, no MTV of new song has been filmed. Because of this, Polygram has proposed to delay the release of this album. Polygram has asked Leon to
film the MTV, but Leon is too busy and can't do this job. The reporter said it is an excuse only. Not filming MTV may be due to the unsettled contract issue. [Thanks to someone on the Leon mailing list for that bit of info] *^_^*
Right now, Leon is taping a movie at Hong Kong University. I think it's about him and a girl..I'm not sure what happened, but I do know that it takes you from when they were in school to when they are around 40ish. The girl in it with him is She Kei, supposedly some "slut" (sorry to use that language, I'm just quoting) who has done a bunch of X-rated movies. Uh-oh Leon. =T
February News..
Every new year that begins, there are always fortune tellers predicting the coming year for celebrities. You all may have noticed that Leon is the focus every year to everyone. Almost every year the fortune tellers predict that Leon will have a bad year career wise. And that his popularity will drop....etc. And every year, Leon manages to over come these predictions with flying colours! Now this year, the fortune teller predicted Leon will have a great year career wise, that his career will reach the next highest level! Hmmm..... now will Leon want to break this prediction?!... Leon said that he does not believe in these kinds of predictions, he believes that his own destiny is in his own hands. But he also revealed that it is not possible to change the fate that may be laid out for you already, all you can do is, instead of following it, be in control of it. It is also said that Leon is working too hard in too many different careers, if he focused on one, then he would be *really* successful, not that he isn't already... And one more thing, his colors this year are black and white (they'll bring out the best in him) *^_^*
Leon's contract with Polygram ends in March and Leon said he will
announce in March if he will stay or leave Polygram. They only thing Leon said was certain is that he will not start his own company but will either stay with Polygram or sign with another company. But rumors are already surfacing that Leon has already signed with Go East (the same company as Mark Lui and Kelly Chen). Well no matter what his decision is we will support him and his decisions. By the end of March we should know the result of Leon's decision. (Thanks to L-News for this info)

He's staying for another charity concert which is going to be held in Toronto on the 20th. While he's up there in Canada, I think he's going to go skiing too *^_^*
January News..
This is only a rumor so far, but (yes, fans, now is the time to jump up and down, cry, scream, etc.) I heard that Leon is having a world tour!! Yay!! =D I have been waiting for this all my life!! I can wait, I can't wait!
I am so proud!! Leon has won so many awards..I'd love to name them all, but there are so many. He's won at least one in every award!! *^_^* Wow! That's my Leon!
Ok, I am not 100% sure about this yet, but I heard that after Leon does his concert in Vancouver, he is going to come down here to the US. Wait, wait, don't go jumping up and down yet, I don't know when or why or where he's coming yet. (Although when I heard this I starting crying out of happiness, no kidding) I'll try to keep you updated..if not, e-mail me about it later and I might have something.
[Taken from Danny's newsletter] To anyone living in or coming to Vancouver, Canada: Leon will be performing at the annual SUCCESS concert in Vancouver at GM Place on February 11, 1998. SUCCESS is an organization that provides many services to Chinese immigrants, such as English lessons, counselling, etc. Other stars performing at the concert include Priscilla Chan, Andy Hui, Mariam Yeung, Kit Chan, Mavis Hee, Gallon Law, Jessica H., and four yet to be announced.
About the ice cream bit that Leon is doing for Dreyer's well, I heard that he got a whooping $2 million per spoon that he ate. He ate 3 spoons, each one of his favorites. When asked if he got $6 million for that, he said that it didn't matter how much money he got, he just enjoys eating ice cream. *^_^* That's my Leon!! =D

How sad, I heard Leon has lost a LOT of weight for his concerts. He's pecs and biceps are really nice but he's really skinny otherwise. I think maybe he's working too hard.. =(
How cute! Leon is going to eat Dreyer's Ice Cream in Hong Kong in front of a bunch of people because they wanted someone popular to advertise after what happened to them earlier and the drop in sales. (something happened where the ice cream poisoned some people or something? and that caused a drop in sales) They found Leon the perfect candidate! *^_^* I think that was very flattering =)
Hmm..Leon's newest cd has been out for about a month "Leon Sound". I heard it has a whole new 'style' to it. And after I listened to it from the internet myself, I definitely agree. I don't really like it but I guess maybe if I listened to it more..I haven't gotten the chance to buy it yet, but I definitely will. I liked tracks #5 and #10 =D
Well, Leon's concerts are over now and a huge success! From what I heard, his dancing has improved ("better than Aaron's" heehee) and his concert took on a whole new style. More than the majority of the people liked it and enjoyed the special effects *^_^* It's just too bad I couldn't go.. (I'll get some pictures soon and post them here, I just haven't seen any good ones) Hey, did I say that Leon dyed his hair for the concert? It's kind of a golden dark brown. I kinda like it but I miss his old hair. Oh well, I'm sure that'll be back some day.
Ugh. I'm a tiny bit upset by this rumor. Well, anyways, rumor has it that Leon has a girlfriend..some Korean girl, Kim Hee Yeon, or something. hmph. =/ I don't believe it. He is way to busy with his concerts and awards and movies and cds to be looking for a girlfriend much less dating one. Hurumph. =(
Happy New Year everyone!! And many Congratulations to Leon =) I'm so proud of him :*) for the Commercial Radio Awards that were held, he won gold for Best Male Singer, Favorite Male Singer, and Favorite Song of the Year!! Isn't that great? *^_^*
