alritey...another good series by watase yuu. ayashi no ceres is about a girl named Aya, her twin brother Aki, the weird legend that has been in their family for generations. It seems that long ago, a "heavenly maiden," or "tennyo" was bathing in a river or something when some guy found her and stole her feathered robe. without the robe, she was unable to return to heaven; although she pleaded with the man, he wouldn't return her robe and instead made her stay and marry him. she married him sadly, and bore him a son. the son one day told his mother where the feathered robe was, and she got it back and returned to heaven. the Mikage family (Aya and Aki's family) are descendants from the tennyo and the man. therefore, there is a chance that a person in each generation of the family has inherited the tennyo's blood, or the man's blood...the man will protect the Mikage family, but the tennyo will destroy it. on their sixteenth birthday...aya and aki are given a test to see if they have the blood of the tennyo or the man. it turns out that Aya has the blood of the tennyo, and becomes the heavenly maiden Ceres during the test. Aki, on the other hand, has the blood of the man and will protect the Mikage family from Ceres' attacks (she wants her feathered robe, supposedly). And that's how the story begins....

I haven't gotten to look for Ayashi pages...not really...but this one's the most consistent one I've seen...it's been up since Ayashi first came out and it's pretty up-to-date...or it should be anyway...I haven't had the chance to visit it lately...
