Love Stories is an ongoing series by Chiho Saitou (I'm going to start calling her the Queen of Shoujo Manga. Anywhere I've been that has shoujo manga has some of her work, and all of it is love story-centered.). The series is ongoing; there is no indication whatsoever when it will end, because there isn't really a connecting plot. The series is made up of a variety of love stories, portraying romance between people of all ages etc...sometimes there are crossovers from her other works, or interrelated stories, but in general there doesn't seem to be any particular form of organization. I only have volumes 4,5,...err...12...14? And maybe one or two in between. That's the good thing about this series, you can pick up a random tank and not have to worry about not understanding what's going on.
Some of the stories were REALLY weird...while others were really sweet. Chiho Saitou has a tendency towards having her characters have sex pretty suddenly which really disconcerts me (it's like...ehh...where did this come from and how long have you known each other?!??!), but besides that and also her habit of writing stories about brothers and sisters falling in love...her artwork is beautiful. I love the way she draws people (oh the guys are so hot...whew ;) hehehe...and the girls are really pretty, too...even when they're not supposed to be nice looking, they still are).
Besides that...I don't really know what to say about the series. I could summarize a couple of the stories...actually, I think I will. (This webpage is turning into a massive stream of consciousness...) My favorite volumes would probably be 4 and 5...and maybe 12...so I'll just summarize the story in 4&5...
Shangri-La (Short story in Vol. 5)
There was one more story in Vol. 5, but I didn't like it...so...I'm not writing anything about it. :D If you're REALLY curious I could tell you what it's about...but this one's confusing and I didn't even really understand it so yeah...
