Watase Yuu has drawn tons of stuff, but my main focus is on Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres. In case you've never heard of either of these before, Fushigi Yuugi has got to be one of the best anime/manga that I've ever seen. The storyline, romance, action, everything is great. It's mainly a love story, but don't get the idea that it's ALL mushy because it's not... Fushigi Yuugi (A Strange Game) is about two girls, Miaka and Yui, who are best friends and third-year junior high students (9th grade) getting ready for high school entrance exams. One day at the library Miaka finds a book called (something to this effect) "Four Gods of Heaven and Earth". This is a magical book and both Miaka and Yui get sucked into the book, becoming the main characters, and the story begins...
On the other hand, Ayashi no Ceres is the manga that replaced Fushigi when the series [of Fushigi] ended at 18 volumes (I'm talking about manga here). It ended this year at 14 volumes (tanks). Ayashi is about a girl named Aya and her twin brother Aki, and fighting their destinies or whatever.....it's hard to explain. On their sixteenth birthday, Aya was discovered to have "tennyo" or "heavenly maiden" blood and the fate to destroy the Mikage family (her own family), and Aki was discovered to have the blood of the "heavenly maiden"'s enemy and be fated to save the Mikage family (something like that!). So now, in certain times Aya will revert to "heavenly maiden" form, otherwise known as "Ceres", and will attempt to kill Aki and the rest of her family, if they don't kill her first....
