When Lita is transfered to Serena's school, most of the other kids are afraid of her and avoid her because of the rumors tht she had to change schools for disciplinary reasons. Serena only sees a girl in need of a friend, and she introduces herself and invites Lita to go to the arcade. When Lita arrives, she promptly falls in love with Andrew, saying that he reminds her of her old boyfriend. Lita says this about every guy she meets.
At the same time, an arcade prodigy named Game Machine Joe is at the arcade, winning stuffed animals to give to orphans. Lita, naturally, thinks he is cute, and she introduces herself and follows him to the cafe. Little does Serena know, Zoicite has had her eye on Joe because he is one of the Rainbow Crystal Carriers. Zoicite attacks Joe and Lita, but Lita, who has a supernatural strength even when she's not in Sailor Scout form, fights back and injures Zoicite. Zoicite backs off for now, vowing to get back at Lita. Luna sees the symbol of Jupiter on Lita's forehead, so she gives her the Jupiter Transformation Pen and teaches her how to transform into Sailor Jupiter. Zoicite catches Joe and retrieves the Rainbow Crystal, causing him to become a monster. The Scouts arrive to battle the monster, and Sailor Moon heals Joe with her Crescent Moon Wand and her new power, Moon Healing Activation.
Serena and Lita are great friends, probably because they have a lot in common. They are both self-sacrificing and boy crazy, and neither are particularly good students. In addition, Lita wants to have her own restaurant someday because she loves to cook, and Serena loves to eat!
