Meditation is not only a hobby, but a way of life for me. I usually meditate before I
go to sleep at night. This practice has helped me learn to calm my mind and get in touch
with my interbeing. When I meditate I do not like to be disturbed. I will turn off
my television and/or computers because the quieter the better. I will concentrate on my
breathing and relax. My mentor says, "Meditation is a gift and we must not make it a
choir." He is saying we should not have to force ourselves to meditate, it should come
freely. I enjoy meditating and after a long day I look forward to my quiet time, which is
why I call meditation my hobby.
