THE MOOK RIM SOCIETY
* Requirements
1.VENERABLE (or VEN)
A Priest who has received 250 precepts from the traditional monastery and holds a bachelors degree in Buddhist studies or an equivalent combination of education and field experiences ( min. 5 years) in the Sangha.
He/She allows to wear the Gray Robe (Korea Chogye order style) and get a title of Sunim.
2. REVEREND ( or REV)
A Priest who has received the Sramanera ( or Sramaneri ) precepts from the monastery. (min. 5 years) or has completed Buddhist studies under the Mook Rim Society's academic system or equivalent combination of education and field experiences.
He/She allows to wear the Black Robe and large shoulder Kasa and get a title of Bopsanim.
3. BC REVEREND
A Reverend ( not a priest ) who is a lay teacher. He/She must has received the Bodhisattva precepts from the Monastery and must has completed a minimum of two years Buddhist studies under the Mook Rim society academic system or equivalent combination of education and Dharma studies.
He/She allows to wear the Neck Kasa (Chogye style)over the gray uniform.
4. BODHI-CARI
Bodhi-Cari is an assistant lay teacher who has received the Bodhisattva precepts from Mook Rim Society (any branch) and He/She allows to wear the gray Chogye uniform.
5. DHARMA-CARI ( or DC )
An Upasaka ( Male ) or Upasika ( Female ) must have received the 5 precepts from a Temple or Center under The Mook Rim Society International. A minimum of one year Buddhist studies is required.
