Modern Ninjutsu Training
Since ninjutsu has reached and influenced other international cultures, the way of life of ninjutsu has meet many new challenges and undertaken many changes in its training delivery. Through the influx of new styles of martial arts and fighting systems, time and time again ninjutsu is being challenge to meet the demands of people to deliver, the reason why is simple, "either we deliver or ninjutsu will slowly die"
Many people from all walks of life, come to a ninjutsu training centres for many different reasons. Some the fantasy of seeing make believe ninjas on TV or the movies, strong knowledge of the martial ways and a need to increase ones knowledge about many systems of martial arts, curiosity of the unknown, word of mouth, shop window advertisement or simply seeing a dojo add in the yellow pages phone book.
What ever the reason, some stay and some go, but the experience never leaves you. Ninjutsu is a holistic and natural martial ways and offers more then just kicks and punches. But due to the increase in the cost of personal liability and instructors being sued, a lot of the teachings in most western countries have been watered down, leaving only the real training for black belt or very senior students, selected by instructors by trust.
In most cases the unarmed fighting techniques are taught, along with sword, knife and stick fighting from the weapon categories. In spiritual training, meditation and sensory training is taught. Aspects of stealth or other essence of ninjutsu training, including other weapons of the ninja, are taught more in weekend training camps, workshops and seminars for knowledge.
Lessons on ninjutsu history are also important, as you need to know how the art of ninjutsu came and where does its future lie in this ever so quickly changing world. What ever the reason, ninjutsu in the future will not be the same as ninjutsu today.
Ninjutsu teaches us a lot about our selves, helps in our own personal development both personal and career, ninjutsu is more then a martial arts, it is a way of life.
