Featuring Bishoujo
Senshi Sailorvenus...
Sailorvenus was acknowledged
more in the manga as the leader than she was in the anime. She had
to be trained more for, as the leader, she had more difficult tasks
and she should be ready to take them on her own. This was not that
difficult for before she was SailorV and she was therefore trained
to finish the tasks on her own. The chosen leader of the senshi must
be fit for the job and so, Sailorvenus was truly the right person
for it. You ask why? I'll tell you...
Her
First Entrance
Although she was formally introduced in Volume 2 Act 8: Sailor
V, she first appeared in Act 7 killing Zoisite with using only
her Crescent Boomerang. When she appeared, she had the crescent
symbol on her forehead and had a chain wrapped around her waist.
Finally, the senshi meet the famous SailorV although she's now
known to be Sailorvenus. In the manga, she was introduced to be
the Princess, but in the anime, when Sailormoon asked her if she
is the princess, she just shrugged and smiled. In the anime, she
appeared in Episode 33 (Saiogono Senshi Venus Toujou) when she
saved the senshi from Kunzite's dome and also saved Tuxedo Kamen-sama
from Zoisite as she blasted them.
Her entrance in both
versions were just the beginning and were only signs of more
incredible deeds to come.

Acknowledging the Duty of Being
a Senshi
|
Usagi-chan
once remarked that Minako was fixed and focused on her job. When
Usagi awakened to be the Princess, the role immediately shifted
to protecting Usagi. As Princess Serenity, she felt afraid realizing
that the one she loves is kidnapped and Usagi panicked at this.
Realizing this, Sailorvenus reassured her that she and the senshi
would always help her and would be there for her to help her in
times of need.

Sailorvenus was
always focused on being a senshi for she knew just how much responsibilty
she had accepted on just becoming Sailorvenus. She was also very loyal
to the Princess especially after knowing that it was her friend who
especially needed her help. As the leader, she had to always be there
for everyone and to always be loyal to "that very precious person"
(none other than Serenity). She knew that is the reason why she was
alive.
When
Sailormoon was in danger being strangled by Queen Beryl's hair,
Sailorvenus felt that she had to do something or their friend
and Princess might die. She took hold of their sword, the Wink
Chain Sword, and killed Beryl with it since even as Sailorjupiter
cut the hair strangling Sailormoon, it seemed that she was still
in pain.

Even in the anime,
after sensing that something was below Sailormoon and is quite ready
to kill her, Sailorvenus took the risk herself and pushed the crying
Princess away. It seemed that Sailorvenus knew their fate, and that
is to die protecting their Princess. Before dying though, she managed
to kill one of Beryl's youmas.
After
seeing for the second time the Prince and Princess dying, Sailorvenus
realized that it was only up to them now to save the world from
Metallia. Sailorvenus took full responsibility and tried to strike
against Metallia using the four senshi's powers. Before they can
strike though, the evil queen had already struck first.
|
Sailorvenus also hated it whenever she felt useless and whenever she wasn't able to help her friends out. One instance was in the manga (Dreams of Venus) when everyone else has already powered-up and she was the only one left who hasn't been able to transform. She tried her best to contribute, even if it would mean to endanger her life. In the end, she was able to successfully power-up and to finally transform into SuperSailorvenus.

Her Weakness
Sailorvenus is a good
leader, but, it doesn't mean that she does not have a weakness
too. Her attacks are often accurate but then there are some instances when feelings may get in the way, although this may not be common. Their enemies would usually use their own sadness, and maybe even their own dreams, against them. Mimete once used Sailorvenus' dream of being an idol and she was able to then catch Sailorvenus with this as bait.

In Conclusion
Nobody's perfect and so we really couldn't expect Sailorvenus to be perfect either. Though we can say that she has been a perfect model for everyone else for being a leader doesn't necessarily mean just instructing people around, a good leader is one who serves...
