Chapter 1

From the color illustration at the beginning…
Narration: It's the end of the century, so no one knows what will happen…
We can see a pink UFO flow toward the Earth.

Someone: What!? America?
We can see a girl with blonde hair in her uniform.
Girl: You are going to leave me behind and move to America!?
Her mom: Yup! It can't be helped, Miyu.

Mom: Because your mommy got selected to be astronaut yesterday!
Miyu: Then, I want to go to…
She got cut off by the TV.
Reporter on TV: Mrs. Kouzuki, how do you feel about been selected?
Mom on TV: Very proud.
Reporter: Please tell us your dream for space.
Mom: My dream is to find new life form in outer space.
Mom (in real life): You see? Mommy is the star of the country right now! Everyone is depending on me.
She holds up her husband's hands, there's the words "Scientist Couple" on top of their heads.
Mom: Your daddy has been hired by NASA too. The work will take up all our time, we won't have time to take care of you. She looks at Miyu with these big, big eyes, the ones you have when asking a favor.

Mom: You can understand that, right? Miyu. Besides, I already asked my friend to let you stay in his house. Miyu: Wa…wait…
Mom (didn't hear her): You have to call him Uncle Saionji. He has a big house, and view from above is so beautiful.
Miyu (really mad): Why do you always DECIDE BY YOURSELF!!!

She stops when she sees the place, it's a temple…

Miyu: She lied!
Miyu walks in the shrine, she finds an old man kneeling down.
Miyu: Excuse me. Are you…
The man turns and Miyu sees that he doesn't have a face.
Man: Who are you?
Miyu stares at him and passed out.

Uncle Saionji ( he's the old man): Are you okay? I'm so sorry! I was trying to make you comfortable at a new place.
He shows Miyu her room.
Man: This is your room. You must be tired, why don't you take a bath before dinner?

Miyu narration: It's like… I've come to a weird place!
She gets up from the tub.
Someone: I'm back!
Miyu turns around, and door was pulled open. A cute guy stands there, but Miyu only has a towel over her. Miyu (blushing): AHHHHHH!
She throws a basin at him

Guy: DAD! WH…WHO WAS THAT?
Uncle Saionji: Oh, Kanata, what's wrong?
Kanata: What's wrong? I went to the bathroom, and ho, a girl I don't even know is in there!
Uncle Saionji: Oh, Miyu's in there!? She will be staying here, her name is Miyu Kouzuki.

Miyu narration: Who was that? I don't know what's happening here, but he saw… I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

Later, dinner table. Miyu is all red.
Uncle Saionji: I'm sorry, Miyu. He's my only son, Kanata. I took care of him alone, so he's not good with girls. Okay Kanata, apologize.
Kanata: I never knew about this.
Uncle Saionji: Didn't I just explain?
Kanata: Dad, you are the one who said living with a woman is the worst!
Miyu: WAIT! What did you mean by "The worst"? Are you happy that you saw me naked (She's blushing when she said this)
Kanata: Like even!!
Kanata Papa: It's okay, as long as I'm here, he won't do anything to you.

Kanata: Then, you are going to give up the trip to India?
Uncle Saionji: Even if I want I can't, the head priest Bakarada has to permit first. I hope could go in this lifetime, they were suppose to tell me last week.
The phone ran just then.
Uncle Saionji: Hello! What!? He said yes… Okay, I'll pack right now.
Kanata: Dad…

He runs and Kanata and Miyu chases him.

Kanata: You are not going! Dad!
Miyu: Uncle!
Kanata caught him when he reach the door
Kanata: You can't go, Dad!
He looks at Miyu with those eyes like her mom did.
Uncle Saionji: Miyu! This my lifelong dream coming true. Kanata is my son, he won't do anything to you!

Kanata: Wait! DAD!
Uncle Saionji: Kanata, money's in the safe!
Miyu narration: What was I suppose to do? Later, the clock reads 8:32.
Kanata and Miyu are eating dinner, nobody talked.
Miyu narration: I was never…alone with a guy…

Kanata stands up.
Kanata: Do you want any more soup?
Miyu: No…no thanks.
Kanata: I'm really sorry
Miyu: What?
Kanata: My dad was always like that. He does anything the way he wants.
Miyu: My parents are the same. They do anything they like without telling.
Kanata: Isn't your mom, the astronaut on this page? (He's pointing at the newspaper) Anyway, we have to think of something, I don't want anything like that happening again.
Miyu: WHAT!? You are the one who saw me!!!
Kanata: It's too late now, we'll fight about this tomorrow.
Miyu narration: WHAT!? That little… I'M SO MAD!!!

Miyu narration ( in her bed): Call mom tomorrow and tell her that I want to move… Oh yeah, it's morning there, I'll call her now. Miyu walks to Kanata's room
Miyu narration: Have to ask him first. It's too expensive. She knocks on the door, then opens it
Miyu: Hey, Kanata! Can I use your phone? Ka…
She sees Kanata with his shirt off
Kanata: You…
Miyu: Ah…AHHHHHHH!
Kanata: Hey, you are the who saw me. Why did you scream?
Miyu: Why aren't you wearing something?
Kanata: I was changing into my pajamas, what's wrong with that? That's why I hate living with a girl.
Miyu: I understand.
She walks back to room, still blushing

Kanata (well dressed): What… are you doing?
Miyu: Moving out. (She's holding her packages)
Kanata: Even for a girl like you, it's too dangerous to go out at midnight.
Miyu stares at him
Kanata: Alright! If you hate it that much then I won't come back until tomorrow.
Miyu: No, I'm going.
Kanata: Shut up and move aside.
Miyu: W… wait!
A flying object flies past them, into the temple.
Miyu: What was that?
Kanata: Oh no, it went to the living room. I'll get a flashlight.
He runs after it. Miyu runs after him.
When they got there, Kanata got out the flashlight.
Kanata: Don't go to close
Baby in the UFO: DA… DA…DA!
Kanata: Excuse me, but what do you see?
Miyu: A…a baby in a UFO.
Kanata: Oh, so I'm not crazy
The UFO opens and the baby flies out. There is a kitty like drawing on his shirt.
Baby: DA! DA!

Baby and Miyu point at each other
Miyu: Fly…he's flying!
The baby flies over and pulls Kanata's face. He uses his other hand to pull Miyu's hair.
Kanata and Miyu: Ouch, stop it.
The baby stops and smile at them.
Kanata: Who are you?
The baby flies around the room
Kanata: Hey, don't go there! Don't touch that!
Miyu sees that his sucking his thumb.
Miyu: Wait! Is he hungry?
Kanata takes out some milk and give it to the baby. The baby start to drink.
Kanata: Hey, your mom works at NASA, she should know something, right?
Miyu: Maybe, I'll go call her.

She walks away and the baby started to cry really loud.
Kanata: I think he likes you, then I'll go.
Baby started crying until Kanata stops. He holds on to Miyu's skirt and Kanata's shirt and smiles at them.
Miyu: Looks like this baby likes both of us. It's not a problem, is it?
Kanata: Just tonight, can't helped.

Morning, Miyu wakes up and see Kanata's head next to hers. She jumps up and sees the baby is sleeping between them.

Kanata: Ah, nothing is better than a good night's sleep.
Miyu: But what should we do with the baby?
Kanata: I think we better leave it to the police.
The baby holds Kanata and Miyu's sleeves.
Baby: M…mama! P…papa!

Miyu: Mama?
Kanata: Papa?
The baby smiles
Both: WHAT!?
