A dark-haired girl dressed in white robes prayed an incantation in front of a tree with a ceremonial rope around it. She called the magatama (seed - shaped like a mango) to wake up in Nakatsukuni and help find the chosenpeople. The rope broke and some magatama flew up to the sky as the girl looked up.
Yuki was called by her mother to wake up and to calm her brothers down. Yuki comments that she had a very weird dream and if it was caused by watching too much tv or reading too much manga (comics). She looked in the mirror and told herself that she is just tired. Then, she heard lots of noises andshe became angry. She immediately went to the other room and shouted that they are very noisy. Her younger brother were fighting with two of her much younger twin brothers about the ownership of the socks her younger brother wasw earing.They kept on quarrelling that Yuki got angry and shouted that they should bequiet.
Yuki's parents heard the ceiling is moving. Her father said that Yuki is discipling them. Her mother said that Yuki was a great help for she can't control her sons as Yuki can. In the news report, it said that lately, there is a strange cloud that hung on the sky so that the sun can't be seen lately.
As Yuki went to school, a magatama fell from the sky and Yuki caught it. As she wondered what it was, Takaomi came and asked her about their home work. Yuki likes Takaomi since he is nice and has a cute smile, mostly especially since he is different from the 'monkeys' that she have to lived with at home.
At school, in the washroom, Yuki's friends told her that the next day, they will be choosing students who will be classmates. They then comment about having Souta and Nachi as classmates. As they left, Yuki looked at the magatama then it glowed brightly. On the mirror, the dark-haired girl appeared. This frightened Yuki s much that she screamed. Her classmates tried to comfort her as she told them that she had seen a ghost. Takaomi came and calmed her down.
At home, Yuki had no appetite and learned that her younger brothers are out playing. As she washed her hands, the magatama glowed again and the dark-haired girl appeared in the mirror who seems to be reaching out to her. Yuki was frightened and knew that the stone that she had picked up was the cause. Yuki at first thought of throwing it away but she decided thatit is strange so throwing it away will be of no use.
At night, Yuki's mother asked Yuki's little brothers to be quiet to night since Yuki does not feel well. In her room, Yuki hid inside her blanket and said that she will go to the temple, the next day. Yuki then thought that the dark-haired girl seems to want to talk to her. She bravely went towards the mirror with the magatama and as before, the dark-haired girl appeared.
The dark-haired girl reach out a mirror and it passed through the mirror that has designs of two birds and flowers.Yuki was able to grabbed it.The dark-haired girl then appeared from the mirror and greeted her as Nakatsukuni's girl. Yuki asked if she was a ghost and the girl told her that she isnot. She said that through this mirror, they will be able to communicate acrosstheir worlds. She then said that there is danger here.
Yuki asked what Nakatsukuni means. The girl said that the place where Yuki lived in is called Nakatsukuni but where she lived, is called Takamagahara. The girl then said that since only a few chosen has the magatama and they will able to go to Takamagahara. She asked Yuki to save the Goddess which is the sun of both their worlds. And if the sun dies, everything would die and now, she is very sick.
Yuki got dizzy with all of these and told the girl that she isgoing to
sleep. The girl grew tense and told her she haven't said everything yet and she
might. The girl kept on calling Yuki to wake up. The magatama glowed brightly
as Yuki floated. The girl then shouted that she should not lose the mirror and
there are four others who have the magatama whom she should find. Yuki then
disappeared. Yuki's clothes changed and she woke up in a desert. She
wondered where
she was. Then, there were some men looking at her and told each otherthatthey
were fortunate. They immediately called their boss, Takaomi. Yuki wassurprised
to hear that it was Takaomi. She saw a tall man, wearing desert-typeclothes
with a cloth covering his forehead. He looked a bit a mature Takaomibut Yuki
knew that it was not Takaomi, her classmate. The men then left them.Yuki then
asked the man if she is in a dream. The man leaned towards her andmoved close
to kiss a very surprised Yuki.
