It is night and Tomo is watching a comet. He is making a record of all the comets that has passed and draws them. In the television, Tomo sees Dr. Kurosawa, his role model-scientist who is missing and last heard to be looking for a successor. In his room, he is glad that he has a telescope in order to record the coments.
In school, Licca praises Sumire on the story that she wrote. Sister Jackie ask them what will be their presentation for a school celebration. Licca suggests that they do a play based on Sumire's story. Dai is not too thrilled in acting but everyone voted that they do a play. Licca tells them that they have to practice everyday but Tomo is not happy about it because he needs to record the passing comet.
That night, Tomo is observing the comet and Dr. Kurosawa meets him. Tomo tells him about his problem. Dr. Kurosawa advises him to pick his studies instead of his friends. The next day, everyone is busy with the presentation. Licca is the princess. Dai is the prince. Tomo is the marquis who will be the bridge between the two lovers. Sumire is the director. The practice is still not finish and Tomo leaves. Dai wonders what is with Tomo.
That night, Licca is very angry at Tomo. Nanae and Orie tell her that she should understand Tomo since he is her friend. Licca has been returning home late because of the practice. She invites her grandmother, mother and Rui to watch the play. One day, she decides to know why Tomo kept on leaving even if the practice is not finished. Licca finds Tomo with Dr. Kurosawa who tells her about being a scientist so his studies should not be interfered but he did not tell Licca about the comet. Licca is angry at Tomo and left.
During practice, Licca is missing. She has gone to the church to pray. Dr. Kurosawa who is really Scarecrow comes and tells her that he know the real reason why Tomo kept on leaving. Tomo decides to return to school for the practice. Then, Pau and Waya grab Licca but Licca escapes by biting Waya. Tomo sees this and hits his telescope on the two to save Licca. Dr. Kurosawa now Scarecrow appears and made Tomo sleep. Licca's bracelet glows and Nanae awakens Doll Licca. Licca falls asleep and is about to be taken by Scarecrow but Doll Licca saves her. Doll Licca puts the children on a bench. When they woke up, Tomo tells Licca about the comet he has been researching on. Licca thanks him for saving her even at the expense of his wrecked telescope. They goes off to practice as someone picks up Tomo's notebook - record for comets.
On the day of the presentation, the real Dr. Kurosawa returns Tomo's notebook to Sister Jackie. Licca sees him, thinking he is Scarecrow, starts pulling him. Then, she finds out that he is the real one. Dr. Kurosawa praises Tomo of his accurate records of the comet. Tomo says that he will continue the record when the comet returns. Then, they hurry to the play.
