It is Halloween's Day. All the decorations are up as the people prepare for the fair. On top of a pole, a pumpkin head with cloak watches the people. In school, Sister Jackie tells them about All Saints Day. As Licca hurries home, she is frightened by Dai and Tomo who are wearing monster costumes. Dai tells her about Trick or Treat but Licca says she will be joining a costume contest with Rui. Dai gets angry as Licca praises Rui.
In the house, Licca greets Nanae and immediately goes to Orie, asking if her costume is ready. Orie teases her that she forgot then shows Licca's witch costume. Dai and Tomo are still trick or treating then suddenly, Dai has an idea. Licca in her costume goes to Rui's 'house'. Rui is still sewing his costume, Pumpkin King also known as Halloween. Rui tells Licca about the origin of Halloween and trick & treat. Up in a tree, a crow watches them as well as Dai and Tomo. The crow turns out to be Scarecrow who plans to wear the same costume as Rui in order to get close to Licca and Pau & Waya will stall Rui. Licca goes to the festival to meet with Sumire.
Rui finishes his costume and runs off since he is late. Suddenly, the lights go off and Rui sees a dancing Pumpkin head with a cape. He wonders if it is a balloon and goes chasing after it and finds himself in the cemetery. Pau and Waya also sees a bouncing Pumpkin head. Thinking it is Rui, they chases it but it escapes.
In the festival, Licca is with Sumire who is wearing a blue bird costume. Scarecrow sees them and transforms as Pumpkin King. He calls out to Licca but suddenly, he falls down in a large hole. It turns out the hole is made by Dai and Tomo as a trick on Rui. Then the four children sees Pau and Waya running after a bouncing Pumpkin head. Scarecrow asks who the shorter Pumpkin head is. Pau and Waya says that it is Rui. Licca wonders who is who and becoming doubting that the person with her is Rui. Scarecrow senses that he is found out so he just grabs Licca, turns into a bat and flew away. Her bracelet glows so Nanae wakes Doll Licca. Doll Licca saves Licca who has fallen unconscious when she falls from Scarecrow's grip. The bouncing Pumpkin head appears and helps Doll Licca by glowing at Scarecrow which temporarily blinded him. Scarecrow retreats. Rui then finds Licca on a bench as the other children runs towards her. Rui and the children sees the bouncing Pumpkin head again which vanishes. Rui says that it is the real Pumpkin King who is playing tricks on them.
