Les Mille Fleurs Summaries
This is the summary for Part 3 of Les Milles Fleurs that ran in Nakayosi #7 July 1997.
(I'm sorry but this summary is a little rough, too much talking for me to understand! Gomen, Gomen!)
Chika continues to stare at "Totsuzen" with his dog, she sees that "Totsuzen" looks excatly like the man she once knew! We see her slowly realize that they are one in the same! ( the converstion is a little unclear but I believe his is questioning why she never came back to the garden like she promised she would.) This really upsets Chika and makes her cry, she is so upset that she runs away! But she drops her Good Luck Charm behind! "Totsuzen" sees this and picks it up.
Chika arrives at home and is very upset about the whole scene with "Totsuzen" in the garden, she is remembering all of her flowers and how she got started gardening because of when she met "Totsuzen" in the garden all those years age.
The next day at school Chika is with her friends watering the flowers when she is shocked that Shu-kun is friends with "Totsuzen", who appears to also be on the soccer team!! Chika is so busy watching Shu and "Totsuzen" playing soccer that she doesn't notice the soccer ball flying straight towards her head! But before it hits her, "Totsuzen" jumps in the way and stops the ball! Shu-kun runs over to see if she is alright. (The next part is unclear to me! Gomen,Gomen!) Shu says something to anger Chika so she throws a watering bakset at his face which hit him very hard! Chika feels bad so she starts putting Band-aids on his face and making fun of him for not avoiding the basket! Then "Totsuzen" comes over and gives Chika back her Good Luck Charm, to which Chika is very upset that he had it! "Totsuzen" then turns around and leaves which leaves Chika in a shocked expression!
Later that night Shu-kun's little brother comes to see Chika and tells her that Shu-kun has run away and he needs her help to fun him. Chika goes to look for Shu and she finds him on a bench playing with a soccer ball. The soccer ball gets away from Shu and Chika picks it up and brings it back to him. Shu tells Chika that he had a fight with his father and that no one understands him and that he is just not feeling happy. Chika tells him to cheer up and to come home so she can give him something. Chika gives Shu her Good Luck Charm that she has had for a very long time (Personal Thought: A very KAWAII moment!) Shu goes home and Chika has the sweetest dream that night about Shu and her together in this giant field of flowers with Shu lying down on her!!! (very KAWAII!!!)
The next day at school we see Shu-kun making a great save and everyone is congratulating him on a fine play. Then he looks over at Chika and gives her a thumbs-ups sign. Chika sees "Totsuzen" and rememebers something that she wanted to tell him so she follows him to the garden ( The next scenes are very important so I am going to give them a separate paragraph and alot of details)
This is all happening in the garden: "Totsuzen": Starts riping down flowers that are on vines that were attached to the brick wall. "Why do these stick here like that?" (to Chika in a condesending manor.) "Do you remember the old man that was here that day when you first visited?"
"Totsuzen" then shoves Chika into the brick wall, she screams out in pain. "Why didn't you come back to visit me like you said you would? Do you remember the man tell me do you remember? Tell me you remember?Tell me you remember?"
"Totsuzen" has Chika pinned agaisnt the wall as she stands there in pain and shock.
