Les Milles Fleurs Summary

The following is the summary for Les Milles Fleurs #5 that ran in the August 1997 issue of Nakayosi.

The story opens with Totsuzen still holding Chika against the wall, she is very scared and is in shock. Totsuzen has an evil look on his face when he looks up to talk to Chika. Totsuzen is still talking about the past and the garden, he wants to know if Chika remebers him yet! By this point Chika is more then a little tired and angry! She frees her hands and slaps him really hard across the face! (you go girl!)

Shocked by her behavior Chika falls to the ground sobbing painfully. Totsuzen stares at her on the ground in front of him and she asks him "Why?" meaning why is he bahaving this way. (let's just say it is REALLY important to him that she remeber who he is...) He bends down and reahces his hand out to gently brush the tears from her cheek. Chika stares at him as thouhg transfixed...

Suddenly though a car pulls into the garden and two rather large men get out and tell Totsuzen it is time he left. Chika can't understand what is going on and asks him what's up? He says "I'm sorry..." and leaves.

Inside the house Totsuzen (his real name is Hibiki... by the way) has a rather odd coversation with one of the men that took him from the garden.

Still in the garden Chika cries quietly... thinking about Hibiki and what he said to her. The dog that had been with Hibiki jumps up onto Chika and licks her happily! She pats the dog and starts to thinks back to when her mothre asked her father for a divorce. She has not seen her mothr since then and remembers how hard it was taking care of her family all by herself.

Chika remebers the day she met Hibiki in the garden when she was a child. He cheered her up and gave her some seeds that she treasured and eventually planted. She remebers him with a lot of affection as the man who got her through a rather difficult time...

The next day at school when Chika sees Shu she rushes up to him and offers him a big bouquet of flowers! Shu is understandable embarrassed, it is a little odd after all for a woman to offer a man flowers :) He does accpet them though but before he can take the floewrs from her Hibiki shows up much to everyone's surprise! When Chika sees him she thrusts the flowers behind her back not that they are really hidden becasue they are BIG flowers, but anyway...

Back in the music room Chika decides she will go see Mai and Eri (we mentioned these girls before just not by name, they were the ones teasing Chika...) Mai and Chika decide to go off togather leaving Eri alone to paly the piano. She sits quietly until suddenly Hibiki walks into the room! She is schocked to see him there...

He notices the flowers she has on her piano and asks her who brought them there... Eri tells him that it was Chika... they continue talking until Chika bursts into the room, smiling happily until she sees Hibiki!

Chika does not stay long though, she sees the two of them together and rushes off in a jealous huff... She is really mad and not paying too much attention to where she is going and almost trips down the stairs! Luckily though Hibiki grabs onto her...

Back at her house Chika welcomes her brother home... he is a little confused by the fact that Eri and Mai are there... They are having a big supepr and Chika has made a rather large flower centre piece for the table :) Eri and Chika are really happy about being together and smile happily the whole meal while Mai looks on...

Shu shows up at the house suddenly and Chika is thrilled to see him... She has been teasing Eri and is glad of he intrusion. Chika and Shu talk while Mai watches them quietly... Later Chika bids farewell to Eri and Mai...

Chika's father later tells her that he has an important flower job to take care of... He asks her to come with him and she agrees, they arrive at a rather large masion and Chika looks around in awe. As she is peering around the corner she notices Hibiki! But that is not the last of her surprise... Just then the doorbell rings and Chika is shocked when her MOTHER appears at the door!
