Ringo invites Michiyo to the Haloween party that will be held in their building. Michiyo asks Ringo what she will wear. Ringo cheerfully says that she will be Snow White. Kazuomi reminds her that during Haloween, one should wear scary costumes. Ringo says she hates scary things. Ringo sneezes which causes Kazuomi to worry if Ringo is sick. This made Michiyo and Ayanna jealous. Then, Ringo asks what kind of event is Halloween? Kazuomi sweatdrops which made Ringo think that Kazuomi didn't know about it. Michiyo suggests that she ask Mahito since he has lived in the United States.
During the show, Mahito explains that Halloween is a day of thanksgiving for the harvest as well as a day wherein the ghosts comes out. Ringo asks what the Americans do during that day. He tells her that there is a carved pumpkin or jack-o-lantern being displayed and the children in costumes ask for trick or treats. The recipe for that day is pumpkin pie.
Ayanna was watching the show and suddenly thought that Ringo cannot really cook and it would be good if she would be the co-host of the cooking show, 'Happy Cooking Hour 3' with Mahito. She fantasizes Mahito wanting to go steady with her but then she says that it cannot be because she loves Kazuomi. She decides to tell Mahito about Ringo's secret.
Ringo notices something about Mahito. Mahito says that he remembers the pumpkin pie that his mother makes and that Ringo's mother would be good at making pumpkin pie. Ringo is surprised and thinks that her mother is even scared when she is frying food since the oil will splatter. Mahito notices her expression and says that isn't she ask help from her mother since she cannot cook. Ringo remembers that she haven't told Mahito that it was Kazuomi who is teaching her to cook. Ringo then invites him to their Halloween Party. Mahito says that he will go after a show. Ringo cheerfully says that she will try to make a pumpkin pie which is like Mahito's mother's pumpkin pie.
On October 31, Ayanna goes backstage of Mahito's show. A staff tries to get Ayanna out since she is unauthorized but she says that she knows Mahito. Mahito asks her what she came to tell him. Ayanna says that she hears a rumor that Ringo cannot cook and is not really a genius cook that she pretends to be. Mahito says that he already know about this because Ringo herself told it to him already and that from the beginning, it doesn't really matter. Mahito then looks at Ayanna and asks why she hates Ringo very much. Ayanna pretends that she does not hate Ringo at all. Mahito says that it is because one time during the show, she asks a difficult question and even had a sandwhich contest against Ringo. Ayanna gets nervous because Mahito has seen through her schemes.
Mahito says that she should try to be lenient with Ringo and he hope that Ayanna would guest in the show to cook some delicious dishes. Ayanna shouts that he has no right to teach her. Mahito asks how did Ayanna knew about Ringo's secret. Ayanna says that she learns it from Kazuomi.
During the party, Kazuomi, wearing a Frankenstein mask, asks Michiyo where Ringo is. Michiyo just says that Ringo has cat ears like hers so Ringo might be easier to find. Kazuomi says that he will find Ringo and that cat ears suits Ringo which made Michiyo a little sad. While looking for Ringo, Kazuomi was grabbed by Mahito who told him that Ayanna has told him about Ringo's secret and that it was Kazuomi who told Ayanna about it. Mahito then says that he will not tell anyone and that if Kazuomi cannot protect Ringo, he will take her away from Kazuomi. Kazuomi immediately runs away, leaving his mask.
Mahito hears someone is approaching and immediately wears Kazuomi's mask. It was Ringo who jokes that it fits him. (She thought Mahito was Kazuomi) Ringo says that Mahito will be coming soon as Mahito tries to tell her that he was Mahito. Ringo wonders out loud if Mahito will like the pumpkin pie she made and hopefully, it would be good even though it may not be as good as Mahito's mother's. Mahito then hugs the surprised Ringo.
Kazuomi confronts Ayanna at her house. Shiroyama, her father, tries to go for the kill but Kazuomi shouts that he does not need to worry because he will never be Ayanna's boyfriend. Ayanna was surprised. Kazuomi continues shouting that he will protect Ringo against people who tries to harm her. Kazuomi then leaves. Shiroyama shouts what the heck Kazuomi came here for when suddenly, Ayanna cries her heart out. Shiroyama tries to comfort her by saying there are more better guys than Kazuomi. Ayanna says that she only wants Kazuomi, she has to apologize to him and now what can she do to make Kazuomi like her again. Ayanna then cries out loud that if Kazuomi hates her, she cannot live anymore.
Ringo's mother and Kaede find Michiyo all alone and wonders where their children are. Michiyo says that everyone has costumes so it is hard to tell who from who. Michiyo smiles and says that they will come back soon.
Kazuomi happily returns to the party. Meanwhile, Mahito removes his mask and
Ringo is embarrassed. Mahito is grateful for Ringo's effort to make the pie.
Ringo smiles. And, Ayanna is still crying as her father tries to calm her
down.
