Ayanna was shocked when she learned that Ringo is not really a talented cook. Someone tapped her on her shoulder then she screamed out loud. Kazuomi and Ringo was surprised. Kazuomi immediately opened the door and asked what had happened. Mahito told him that he just tapped Ayanna's shoulder. Ayanna then fell behind the door for Kazuomi accidentally hit her when he opened it. Ringo tried to wake Ayanna up. Ayanna did and told them that she was alright. Kazuomi wondered as to when was Ayanna there then he realized that Ayanna could have heard what they were saying.
At school, Kazuomi asked Ringo if Ayanna told her anything. Ringo says no. Kazuomi was relieved and thought that he was worrying too much. Ringo was a bit tense because it will be cooking class. Ringo's classmates pushed her to class and they were excited since they have a talented cook with them. Michiyo told Kazuomi that they will be baking a pound cake and that if everything goes well, she will give him some. Kazuomi nervously agreed.
During class, Ayanna was intensely observing Ringo. Ringo was quite nervous because there were some procedure that she was not familiar with. She decided to make the cake simple or her secret will be known. Ayanna was happy that Ringo can't really cook so Kazuomi will be hers. Michiyo asked Ringo as to what kind of pound cake will they make. [Note: Each cake is done by a pair of students and Michiyo is Ringo's partner] Ringo suggested chocolate since Valentine's day is near. Everyone then, in their class wanted to make chocolate pound cake. Ringo almost slipped when she told her classmate that 'he said that pound cakes can keep for a long time.' Ringo immediately say that it is nothing and told herself that it was Kazuomi who told her that when he was making pound cakes. Ayanna was now really convinced that Ringo can't really cook. Ayanna's partner then started calling Ayanna for their cake had already burned. While eating their pound cake, Ringo remembered that Kazuomi was the one always helping her make a heart-shaped chocolate cake on Valentine's day. She wondered if it would be nice to give one to Kazuomi. Then she tried to snap out of it. She told herself that Valentine's Day is suppose to be for expressing one's love and it should be Mahito. Then she looked at the wrapped cake, and said, but . . .
On Valentine's Day, Kazuomi was already waiting at Ringo's house to go to school together. Suddenly, Ringo went inside her house again to get something. As they walk, Kazuomi asked what was she holding. Ringo answered that it is a secret. Kazuomi then shouted UFO and pointed upwards. Ringo looked up. Kazuomi peaked into the bag and saw a wrapped chocolate. Ringo was still looking up and trying to find the UFO. Kazuomi wondered it the chocolate will be given to him.
At school, Kazuomi opened his locker and saw a gift inside it. Ringo asked if it was chocolate then shouted in disbelief as to who would want to give Kazuomi a chocolate. Kazuomi told her that it shouldn't be such a big surpise to her. He looked at the gift and there was no name. Ringo sadly glanced at the pleased Kazuomi. Ringo's classmates came and teased Kazuomi of his gift. Kazuomi was embarrassed and immediately went to his class. Ringo told her classmates that it is strange that someone will give Kazuomi a chocolate. Her classmates told her that many girls admire him because he has good grades, can play basketball and can do many other things. Ringo looked at Kazuomi's locker and knock on it. She quickly walked away and reminded herself that on Valentine's Day is the time for a girl to tell someone 'I like you' as a way of expressing their feeling. [Note: In Japan, the girls are the ones who give chocolates on Valentine's Day to the people whom they like. There is another day for boys which I can't remember maybe sometime in March]
Kazuomi was really tense since Ringo haven't given the chocolate that she had brought to school to anyone. Ringo then called out to Kazuomi. Kazuomi was very happy and was very confident that he will get the chocolate. Ringo then told him that she will be going to the tv station for a meeting and she'll be going ahead. Kazuomi was disappointed and even asked where is she taking the chocolate. Ayanna then came and told Kazuomi that she has something to tell him. Kazuomi wondered if it was about Ringo.
Outside of school, Ayanna then gave Kazuomi chocolate. Kazuomi was surprised and asked Ayanna what was she going to say. Ayanna was a bit irritated and told him that it is Valentine's Day. Kazuomi made a sigh of relief. Ayanna told him that she also made a white sweater to show her affection. She then said that it fits Kazuomi and that she was very nice. Ayanna said to herself that the 'announcement' will come next. Kazuomi told her that he already like a person. Ayanna was very happy and told him that she already knew, thinking that it was her. Kazuomi then bowed his head and told her that he was sorry for he cannot accept her chocolate. Ayanna, shaking asked if it was Ringo. Kazuomi blushed. Ayanna then knew that it was Ringo and was very furious. She dropped the chocolate and shouted that Ringo can't even cook and that she was a fake. Kazuomi was surprised and quickly covered Ayanna's mouth. Kazuomi softly asked if she had told anyone. Ayanna said she haven't told anyone yet. Kazuomi asked her to keep it a secret for he wanted Ringo's dream to come true. Ayanna agreed but there will be a condition. Ayanna told Kazuomi that if he agreed to be her boyfriend then she won't tell anyone.
The meeting for the show was over. Ringo asked how Mahito was doing. Mahito thanked her for her concern. Mahito told Watanabe to keep the chocolates for him. Ringo was surprised to see a box, full of chocolates. She then offered her chocolate to Watanabe. She told him that it is from Kaede. Watanabe was very happy to get a chocolate and that this year, it will not be zero. Ringo wonders if it was better if she told him that it was from her.
That night, Ringo, carrying a plastic bag went to Kazuomi's house. Ringo asked if he had made a cake already. Kazuomi that he will in a little while. Ringo then told him that it was good. Kazuomi was excited that she might be giving him a chocolate. He opened the bag that Ringo was carrying. Ringo told her that those were ingredients for a chocolate cake. He was disappointed and wondered if Ringo came just to make him bake a cake. Ringo told him that he always help her make a cake so now, they would do it together. Ringo saw a 'do not disturb' on a door and said that Kaede seems to be working. Kazuomi asked Ringo as to whom did she gave the chocolate. Ringo said to Watanabe. Kazuomi asked if she had given any to Mahito. Ringo told him that she didn't gave Mahito any since Mahito already have a lot of chocolates from his fans so he can't eat all of them. Kazuomi was a little happy but then, Ringo told him that in the show, she will be baking chocolate cake so it was okay. Kazuomi sighed and said that even so, it will be the first to be with Ringo in making a chocolate cake.
While making the cake, Ringo told him that she will keep on
practicing
so that she will someday become a real talented cook. Kazuomi then
remembered
Ayanna's condition and he was given a week to think about it.
