Ringo was greatly troubled when she heard that the show will be ending. She realized that her dream to become a 'teen idol' could disappear. She hurried home to ask Kazuomi what to do then she stopped. She had remembered that she had decided not to give Kazuomi any more problems. Ringo wondered whom to ask for help.
Ringo went to Michiyo's house. Michiyo was surprised when Ringo immediately hugged her upon entering the house. Michiyo gave Ringo a cup of chocolate to calm her down. Ringo remembered that Kazuomi had also given her a cup of chocolate when she was in trouble. Michiyo then told Ringo to go. Ringo was puzzled. Michiyo told her that she should go to the tv station. Ringo started to protest. Michiyo told her that nothing will happen if she kept on crying. Michiyo suggested her to know the real issue and if it was true, then ask for another job, at least, she had tried to do something. Ringo praised Michiyo for being smart. Ringo then realized what she must do.
Michiyo asked her if the thing between Ayanna and Kazuomi had bothered her so much. Ringo admitted that it did and that she can't be with Kazuomi anymore. Michiyo said that it can be like before. She told Ringo that it is good that Ringo can depend on herself already and that Kazuomi is like family so Ringo can still depend on him and be with him. Michiyo convinced Ringo that it is really like this. Ringo was very happy for things can be like before and then, she hugged Michiyo. Ringo then said goodbye to Michiyo and Michiyo encourage her to try her best. When Ringo was about to go out the door, she turned back and told Michiyo that if Michiyo ever have a problem, she will be more than willing to help her. Michiyo agreed.
After Ringo left, Michiyo quietly went to her room. She opened a drawer and brought out her diary. She opened the diary and there was a picture of Kazuomi inside. Michiyo told herself that it would be better if she had written her name on the chocolate that she gave Kazuomi. Then, she returned the diary to the drawer.
The next day, Kazuomi was figuring out whether to go with Ringo to school or not since Ayanna will be very angry. As he opened the door, he was greeted by Ringo. Ringo told him that she had something to do so she have to go on ahead. As Ringo run, she wondered if it can really be like before yet, she must learn not to depend too much on Kazuomi.
In the tv station, Watanabe told her that 'Happy Cooking Hour' is indeed ending. Ringo immediately asked for a new job. Watanabe then told her that on April 'Happy Cooking Hour 2' will start. Ringo was surprised. Watanabe asked her if he told her about it. Ringo angrily said no. Watanabe then asked her to do her best with Mahito in the show. Ringo said, yes. Watanabe told her that they will start again in April to make the new contract. Before Ringo left, Watanabe asked about Tsutsui [Note: Tsutsui is Kazuomi's surname] Ringo thought he was talking about Kazuomi so she said that he already have a girlfriend. Watanabe told her that it was not him. Ringo then said that if it was Kaede then she is very busy writing for a show in spring. Watanabe was relieved then asked Ringo to say hi for him. Ringo wondered why, then left with high spirits.
Ringo called Mahito but was greeted by an answering machine. Ringo left a message telling him that she had already known of the continuation of the show, thanked him for helping her in her English test, and that she will try her best for the next show. Mahito was there and smiled since Ringo was happy again. Ringo looked at her organizer and comments that it is getting filled up already. Then, she discovered that Kazuomi's birthday is near and wondered what to give him.
On April 4, Kazuomi's birthday, Ayanna called Kazuomi about going out together but Kazuomi told her that there were already plans for his family to go out together. [Note: Kazuomi's birthday coincide with the Sakura watching festival wherein people have picnic under the sakura (cherry blossoms) trees] Ayanna told Kazuomi that she also want to go too when she learned that Ringo will go. As Kazuomi put down the phone, Ringo asked if Ayanna will also be coming. Kazuomi was shocked that she heard so he tried to explain. Ringo immediately praised Kazuomi's lunch boxes and told him that since he is going with his girlfriend, she is going with Michiyo. Kaede then suggested that Ringo and Kazuomi go ahead to pick a good place under the trees. Kazuomi started to protest, but Kaede pulled Kazuomi's ear and whispered that she is already giving him time to be alone with Ringo and that it will be her birthday gift to him.
Ringo and Kazuomi had already picked a place and put down the things that they were carrying. Ringo asked what he had cooked in the lunch box. Kazuomi told her that he has some rice, vegetables and some dessert. Ringo asked if he baked a cake. Kazuomi told her that he do not want to bake a cake on his birthday. Ringo was glad and opened a box. She then greeted him a happy birthday. She told him that the cake is a cheesecake and it was reddish since it is Sakura-watching festival. She added that there were fourteen strawberries on top to serve as candles. Kazuomi was surprised and asked if Ringo made it by herself and if it was just practice for the show. Ringo was irritated and told him that she made it just for him. Kazuomi then saw all the bandages on Ringo's fingers.
Suddenly, the wind blew. Ringo tried to keep the petals from falling into the cake. Kazuomi then told her that here was one in her hair and he removed it. Ringo was surprise by his action and said thank you. Ringo then asked Kazuomi to taste it. Kazuomi told her that it was delicious. Kazuomi then suggested some things to improve the cake. Ringo then asked him to help her in cooking since the show will continue and that she will not give him too much problems since she owe him too much already. She promised Kazuomi that she will try her best. Kazuomi told her that he will help her. Ringo then started playing around with the falling petals. Kazuomi told himself that he can't say no to Ringo and that if Ringo is happy with the food he makes then he'll continue to make them. Kazuomi then decided that he'll do anything for Ringo's happiness.
Ringo's parents, Kaede and Michiyo came, much to Kazuomi's disappointment for they arrived early. Ringo called out to them. As everyone sat down, Ringo let Michiyo sat down next to Kazuomi, again much to Kazuomi's disappointment. Michiyo then was staring at Kazuomi then greeted him a happy birthday. Kazuomi was surprised. He thanked her and asked how did she knew. Ringo even asked if she had told Michiyo. Michiyo smiled and told them that she had learned about it early on. Everyone then had a toast for Kazuomi's birthday. As Kazuomi was drinking, he was suddenly embraced by Ayanna. Ayanna brought some food, too. Ringo commented that Ayanna would make a good wife. Ayanna was very happy but Kazuomi was not. Ringo looked up at the sakura blossoms and felt very happy.
At the station, Mahito apologized for making her think that the
show
will end for good. Ringo told him that it was nothing. Mahito then
asked
her to
go to the carnival with him since he had been working since he came to
Japan
and that he had no friends. Ringo agreed and said that it is a promise.
The
camera started rolling as Mahito and Ringo greeted their audience to
their new
show.
